That part about feelings is absolutely true. I have a short story to back this up. I can see how you have so many thumbs up. You nailed it. My niece and her husband gave us there Rottie at 10 months old. That dog tore their place up. We have two rotties that we love to bits!! My tip to add would be. Don’t let them do as a puppy that you don’t want them to do when they’re fully grown. And lots and lots and lots of love! 💜
I have a rottweiler from the street. My dad decided to take her home because she was abandoned, dehydrated, have eaten..I decided to keep her..they're smart and nice dogs..this is my first time owning a Rottweiler..I'm used to raising a pitbull but he was killed

So true. We have two rotties and all they have to worry about is food falling from the kids plates, cuddles, adventures and if the cat will get them in their sleep. They don’t worry about looking after the pack because they know me and my husband will. The kids feed and water them, train and brush them and we’ve never had any issue
@@marvingroot7210 by being the dominant one. Food is the best way to show dominance. You say when they eat. Rotties love discipline. They need to know who the leader of the pack is. They will then follow. Without leadership, believe me, these dogs will take control and the you have a problem on your hands. Be firm but fair. They only choose one.
I love Rottweilers but I know I’m no where near ready to get one. Your tips are very helpful and sheds light on how to make a responsible decision on having such a beautiful dog as part of a family. Thank you 🐾 🐕
Bro, you nailed it. I grew up with a Rott and have two Bernese Mountain Dogs, which have Rott bloodlines and everything you said is right on. Most people underestimate both the financial and emotional commitment you need to dedicate to having a happy one. Keep doing g what you're doing.
Four things that i realise growing up with rottweilers: 1. Cancer is a "commun" disease for them, i had more than 10 rottweilers in my life, most of my them died with 8-9 years with cancer and it can be anywhere from leg to stomach, so make sure to always check up in the vets, my parents didn't usually do it until it was too late. 2. They only like children that the grow up with, this is not a general thing of course, but usually they get very tense next to kids that they didn't see when they were younger, for example, my dogs love me when i was little and they were puppies, but when they grow up and meet my cousin, niece or any other kid in the family they were really not into it, so just be careful. 3. If u don't traine ur dog, they won't now how strong they are, serious, they are REALLY strong, if you don't traine them they can hurt u without even realising, not fun being push by a rottweiler, so dont be a asshole like my family that says that dogs need to be in their "natural" behavior. 4. They almost never bark, if they bark there is something wrong. Rottweilers are really sweet guys, but they are NOT for everyone, they need time, space, love, patience and a lot of caution.
@@ImperialRottweilers 😊 5. If want two rottweilers make sure to get one first in the house for a couple of months and then get a younger one so they dont fight to see "who is the boss", again not all of them will do that in case u get it at the same time but doing this can prevent a headache. Maybe this happens more often if both are male and more alpha dogs, but i'm not sure.
@@Julia9892 That is not the way to go. They will still end up fighting again and again. You need to teach them how to coexist and work together instead of letting them fight it out and potentially causing serious injury.
I’m a new dog and Rottweiler owner and she’s 8 weeks going on 9 and I can already tell she’s super smart and found her way around the house in just a week and she follows me everywhere🥰
I never realized that they hv so much energy, my dog is almost 3 years old and he behaves like a puppy, hes so playful. He wants so much attention. Thanks for ur informative video. 👌
Been living with rottweilers since the early 80's and the biggest tip of the 5 i would say. That is the feelings. I've been living with them as pets if that makes any sense. Not show dogs or anything. Just living with them. The rottweiler we had some years back. My wife was sick alot and she had to stay in bed alot too. In the summer time it can get really hot here opposed to the rest of the year and the dog was feeling hot like the rest of us but he stayed in the bed with my wife back to back until she fell asleep no matter how hot it was for him he stayed in the bed to make her feel safe. He also followed her around constantly to make sure she was ok. All the rottweilers we had was incredibly loveable. So much feeling. You can look them in their eyes and into their soul almost. Also be aware that this dog has some kind of mental dysfunction since it believes it weighs around 30 pounds and not 130 :D They will very often try and crawl up in your arm chair and cuddle also because of that they can be a little clumsy and bump into stuff because of that. They can find the tiniest spot and still try to fit it :P
My husband grew up with Rottweilers but I did not. We just got our first Rottweiler together- we’ve had her about two months (she’s 5 months now). These tips are spot on! She is so dang smart, she actually gets bored in puppy class. She has destroyed quite a few things in our house (goodbye leather sectional😭) but it’s cuz she’s bored! She wants to be working all the time. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
The girl is so cute!! We're getting our third Rottie in 15 years. I never want to be without one. My husband is retired, and will be with her pretty much 24/7. Really looking forward to our new baby
This is great advice for any new Rottie owner or anyone considering the breed! I've got a lot of experience with the breed. I really like your advice about leaving them at home for long periods of time and what you have to say about your feelings. You're right, they really do tune in to you and want to be with you - their feelings are just like humans. Thank you!!!
My Rott is only 7 months, but I totally agree with your suggestions. The only thing I’d add is private training is a big help to those of us who don’t understand how Rottweilers move.
My dog is a german/rott mix but he for sure acts like a rott! He is such a sweet big baby, honestly I live alone and in an apartment, if anyone else finds them in this same situation this is what worked for me. Two 1 hour walks and 1 hour of play and about 15-30 mins of simple training tasks and a great diet! That is all my dog needs and he is a rescue about 1 year and 10 months now. There is no possible situation as long as you give them love, time, and patience this dog will be your best friend!
My dad and his bro got a Rottweiler 12-15 years ago, he was very friendly to family, I was born some years after that, I played every day with him, I remember when he jumped on me every day when he see’s me, he was guarding at night and every morning I waked up early to meet him before they put him in his cage, we was best friends. When it was winter we played in snow. I miss him he passed away 2 years ago, I really miss him every time I think about him I wanna start crying 😭. Ajs my best friend
All this is spot on. Especially the love & care. They will give it back in spades I know that & didn't even own one. My neighbors dog just took to me & was extremely protective of me.
I am New Rottweiler owner and to be honest I wasn’t able to understand my dog because I was a husky owner but now I will make sure that my Rottweiler get better know that I understand more about this dogs. Thank you 🙏🏻
I’m actually glad I came across I’m currently getting my pup in couple weeks and just learning everyday each more and more this so straight forward and will definitely sub and watch more your videos about Rottweilers
Beautiful Rottweiler 💖 she looks nice, healthy, and shiny. You seem to care about her a lot, I like that. It's good to have a dog walker/neighbour to let them out when you're not there. Don't like cages or kennels. Great breed ✨
Excellent tips! I would add exercise and long walks at least 1x per day everyday, especially if you don't have a backyard. They need to be active they are bred to be active and on the move. Giving them daily exercise/walks will helps prevent unwanted chewing on household items. Chewing is a sign of a dog that's not being fully engaged. Rotties are very smart research jobs/activities/ training that challenges them and gives them things to do. When their mind is engaged in positive activities, chewing and other unwanted activities won't be a problem. Dogs are social. You as their owner is their world. If they don't see you most of the time it can be stressful. You're out socializing and interacting with people. Think about who your socialize with besides you? Like he said think of their feelings too. Give them time to be active, socialize with different dogs, people, environments, be out of the house so when you're away for longer time it won't be bad because they have fun engaging things to do with you when you're with them. Imagine if you were your dog, what would you want? Not being locked in the house all the time comes to my mind, along with being loved and well cared for.
Just got one and He is super smart...super funny BEST GAURD DOGS EVER. I also recommend them for emotional support and k9 training and service dogs. Love ur video.
These are on point for Rotties! My guy is a little over a year, he's my second one and the absolute best dog. I'm not sure about yours, but mine is beyond goofy as well as all the things you said!!
I am still reasonably certain I have the most beautiful Rottie in the galaxy, but Xena is certainly a contender. ;) Absolutely *beautiful* pup and great advice.
I have always owned APBT’s., I am looking for something a lot less gamey! We live out on a farm and I need something that the kids can run with and not worry bout it taking off! Thanks for the video
Financially committed. For sure. I had a mix who was probably part Rott. The size of the bones he would go through in a half hour was astounding. Those things aren't cheap if he eats them as snacks. And we went through twice as many poop bags, if ya know what I mean. Lol. (If you have a Rott and walk him in town, you know.) I miss him, though.
I'm used to cleaning up my pugs' little poops in public. Now I've taken in an abandoned Rottweiler and I'm wondering how I should expect to clean up her poop on sidewalks? I mean the sloshy, smeary stuff at the bottom of the pile. Any suggestions?
@@montag4516 Honesty, I don't think that stuff is possible to clean up. But Ideally her poops won't be like that for long. While she's adjusting to her new home and new food her poops will be just like you described. But that should change as her anxiety calms down and her tummy gets used to her food. From what I hear, Rotts do better on a raw food diet. Apparently their tummies can handle that better. If you decide to try that you'll need to switch her onto it slowly. But even just the switch from whatever she was eating before to what you're feeding her now could cause that. It's pretty common while adjusting to different food. It can take a few weeks for their tummies to settle down. Also, It wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to your vet about deworming her. Intestinal parasites can cause that kind of poop, too. But if that's the cause her poops should be better once the worms are gone. My rescue Boxer is very prone to that, too. Anxiety is her top cause. Followed by food change. I did give her a tablespoon or so of Greek yogurt a few times after she'd been on antibiotics. Too much dairy makes her poops too soft. But a tiny bit of unflavored Greek Yogurt seemed to really help. I wonder if the probiotics in the yogurt would help with anxiety/food change tummy issues, too. Kudos for taking on your new Rotty friend. And I hope her tummy feels well enough to have easier to manage poops soon.
Yes brother you are truly correct man you are 100% correct about these Rottweilers they need attention and he need love and he made a great guidance in the great household with great training skills but yes attention with Rottweilers are the number one key to have a human intelligent thinking process so yes you are accurate on your point
I noticed with my Rottweiler. We can't go on vacation or go out of town for a few days. Or my 2 yr old Rottweiler gets depressed and won't eat or anything. We have to bring are Rottweiler with us anytime we are gone afew days. They are a very loyal dog.
my favorite baby is my 4 year old Rott! she’s smart and goofy and loving. i hate seeing the things i see about rottweilers because its just not true. but every tip you gave is true! my girl zoey follows me all over the house 😭🥺
Thank you for this amazing informative video. I am picking my female Rottweiler puppy up in three days. I already own two Cane Corso's. The expense is high. 8,000.00 to fence one acre of backyard land for my dogsl in 8ft tall fencing. I am still installing roller bar across the top of the fence. Almost finished. I feed Canidae all life stages 5 times a week and Blue Buffalo 2 times a weak. I give raw treats and eggs. I add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil to their food. 375.00 a month for two Cane Corso's and the cost will go up when i pick up Melificent my Rottweiler. Will this diet also work for a Rottweiler? I want my new fur baby to have the best of everything. I am able to be home all the time now. My children are grown. My dogs are my babies. I spend all my time with them. If I do travel they go with me and I arrange boarding. This is also expensive. I also take my dogs to the groomer for nail trims and a good bath and brush. This is expensive. Vet care and medication is more expensive for large dogs. They are a life long commitment. The training i put in and time working with them pays off. You just can't love a dog too much. I made a mistake and left my dogs for 3 hours not kenneled. They ate leather sofa and tore baseboards from my wall. Ouch. That mistake was costly. I had to baby proof my home and put chemicals way up high and locked away. I am so excited for my new puppy. Now to go watch more of your videos after I subscribe. Thank you again. Your dog is phenomenal
I have a Rottweiler puppy she’s 9weeks and I’ve had people tell me to feed her dear meat because it has a lot of protein but I need to make sure if it’s alright since your a experienced owner of Rottweilers.
I want a rottweiler so bad, but I live in an apartment and I work a 12 hour shift. I wouldn't even feel comfortable getting a dog right now. My motivation for getting a house with a huge backyard. I can't wait.
Hey do you think Rottweilers are good for survival situations like wilderness survival or even a post apocalypse I am a survivalist and preper amd have been thinking on the Rottweiler to go with my German Shepherd I have alot of patients with any breed and I have always admire the Rottweiler amd German Shepherd
Thanks for the tips, I'm curious, would you know how much it would cost for a good Rott? Papers, shots and all.? I would like a female pup 8 weeks or so, and yes I am financially set.
We just adopted a very large 2 year old male neutered Rotty. He likes to wrestle around but when he does he likes to knawl on my hands. Sometimes I can barely pet him and he still likes to knawl at my hands. He refrains from clamping down hard but it still hurts somewhat. Have you had that experience? Im just thinking in case we have visitors this may not be a good thing.
random guy 23 23 each dog breed has its negatives and positives. German Shepard’s are easier to train but shedding is worse. I have had both breeds and honestly they’re very similar
Those are Two Different Worlds, You Have a Dog right Now who is Not Strong Willed or Headstrong at All and would Love anybody who comes around You. When you get that Rott your getting a Dog that is Very Headstrong & Does not Like Strangers who they weren't Introduced too.
Omg yes, my friend’s rottie just showers you with love, hugs & kisses. Online they are depicted as fierce guard dogs, which they are, but that fierceness is also matched by their kind & loving attitude.
This is my boy Zak, I'm lucky as being a site manager I drive about all day doing 30 min inspections and then he gets a walk, he ends up with at least four good walks every day.

So true. We have two rotties and all they have to worry about is food falling from the kids plates, cuddles, adventures and if the cat will get them in their sleep. They don’t worry about looking after the pack because they know me and my husband will. The kids feed and water them, train and brush them and we’ve never had any issue
How do they understand rank?
@@marvingroot7210 because they are pack animals. They have a pack mentallity so rank or pecking order, comes naturally to them and helps them settle.
@@seamustherotty9373 ok thanks, but how can we let them know they are not pack leader?
@@marvingroot7210 by being the dominant one. Food is the best way to show dominance. You say when they eat. Rotties love discipline. They need to know who the leader of the pack is. They will then follow. Without leadership, believe me, these dogs will take control and the you have a problem on your hands. Be firm but fair. They only choose one.
Thank you for being a responsible owner and advising others to be so. Understanding the breed. And your girl is cracking me up.
Thanks for your very detailed experience! Much needed for the community!
I’m a new dog and Rottweiler owner and she’s 8 weeks going on 9 and I can already tell she’s super smart and found her way around the house in just a week and she follows me everywhere🥰
you deserve my subscribers my man, you’re a very collected person with a very straight forward message and love for the breed and animal
I never realized that they hv so much energy, my dog is almost 3 years old and he behaves like a puppy, hes so playful. He wants so much attention. Thanks for ur informative video. 👌
Trying to convince my mom to get a Rott! Going to send her this video immediately 😁👍🏽
That is a great addition to have in retirement lol
This is great advice for any new Rottie owner or anyone considering the breed! I've got a lot of experience with the breed. I really like your advice about leaving them at home for long periods of time and what you have to say about your feelings. You're right, they really do tune in to you and want to be with you - their feelings are just like humans. Thank you!!!
2:40.. bruh when you said food zena was like “HUH food?!???”😂😂😂
I think you mean Xena
My Rott is only 7 months, but I totally agree with your suggestions. The only thing I’d add is private training is a big help to those of us who don’t understand how Rottweilers move.
My dog is a german/rott mix but he for sure acts like a rott! He is such a sweet big baby, honestly I live alone and in an apartment, if anyone else finds them in this same situation this is what worked for me. Two 1 hour walks and 1 hour of play and about 15-30 mins of simple training tasks and a great diet! That is all my dog needs and he is a rescue about 1 year and 10 months now. There is no possible situation as long as you give them love, time, and patience this dog will be your best friend!
impossible*
My dad and his bro got a Rottweiler 12-15 years ago, he was very friendly to family, I was born some years after that, I played every day with him, I remember when he jumped on me every day when he see’s me, he was guarding at night and every morning I waked up early to meet him before they put him in his cage, we was best friends. When it was winter we played in snow. I miss him he passed away 2 years ago, I really miss him every time I think about him I wanna start crying 😭. Ajs my best friend
Seriously thinking of getting one doing alot of research at the moment appreciate the advice thank you
Literally getting a Rotweiler today and I'm so nervous this video was AWESOME
All this is spot on. Especially the love & care. They will give it back in spades I know that & didn't even own one. My neighbors dog just took to me & was extremely protective of me.
I am New Rottweiler owner and to be honest I wasn’t able to understand my dog because I was a husky owner but now I will make sure that my Rottweiler get better know that I understand more about this dogs.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great tips and advice Sir. Just got my first Rottie. 3 months old. Training is going slow. But I know the hard work will pay off .
Owned Rottweilers my whole life and you are 100 % accurate with your tips

I’m actually glad I came across I’m currently getting my pup in couple weeks and just learning everyday each more and more this so straight forward and will definitely sub and watch more your videos about Rottweilers
I want a rott so badly, I have no time for one though right now. Absolutely beautiful doggo
i'm getting my female puppy tomorrow -5-wks old thanks for good advice, appreciate it very much, blessings to you my brother.
Congrats on your new pup! Thanks for watching!!
Beautiful Rottweiler 💖 she looks nice, healthy, and shiny. You seem to care about her a lot, I like that. It's good to have a dog walker/neighbour to let them out when you're not there. Don't like cages or kennels. Great breed ✨
Awe my bear looks just like Zena! And yesss mine is the same way, he follows me everywhere and HATES being alone
Ada Workman dayiiium your gorgeous...single??!

Ada Workman if you use fb id be more than happy to make a new friend in this tough time with self isolation ha x
Wayne Marshall look me up it’s literally Ada Workman and I’m public I sell makeup so I shouldn’t be hard to find
Ada Workman bethlehem look for me ill drop you a msg!
My uncle had a Rottweiler named blazer. He definitely knew when i was upset as a kid and used to come comfort me lol

Very nice comments and tips thank you 🙏 you have a beautiful dog
Appreciate it!!
thank you so much for your tips. I just have a 10 weeks rottweiler puppy
Can I have one
Just got one and He is super smart...super funny BEST GAURD DOGS EVER. I also recommend them for emotional support and k9 training and service dogs. Love ur video.
These are on point for Rotties! My guy is a little over a year, he's my second one and the absolute best dog. I'm not sure about yours, but mine is beyond goofy as well as all the things you said!!
I am still reasonably certain I have the most beautiful Rottie in the galaxy, but Xena is certainly a contender. ;)
Absolutely *beautiful* pup and great advice.
Thank you!!
I know I can trust this, your dog is lovely, she’s being really good back there as much as she wants to be getting on.
The are a ride or die dog!
Your comments are much valuable as my Rot is 100 days old. The have Mejestic sence of humor, they directly look at your eyes and sence our feelings.
Thank you for your videos. I just got a male 15 week old Rottie he is sweet getting him manners training soon so he will follow my directions.
Great video! just picked up my 12 weeks old Rottie yesterday!!
Congrats
I have always owned APBT’s., I am looking for something a lot less gamey! We live out on a farm and I need something that the kids can run with and not worry bout it taking off! Thanks for the video
A Rottweiler will be a great option. They are kid friendly, loyal and territorial. They will stay around your property and protect.
@@ImperialRottweilers Ten4, I will be watching more of your videos to get a lil more educated and looking for pup!!
Awe! I just got a Rottie pup and started him right off on Raw Feeding and he LOVES IT. Great tips!
Thats great one of the best things you can do for your puppy!
Excellent advice and tips. I don't have a Rottie, but I have an Olde English Bulldogge and all of your advice equally applies to them as well
Meanwhile, your doggo is looking at the camera and giving their own 5 tips:
1: Treatos
2: Treatos
3: Treatos
4: Treatos
5: Belly Rubs
1 tip. love them with all ur heart. As they are new born bring them around kids so they get used to the loudness
Thanks for the tips!!
love your co-star in the back seat...you are doing a great job! people need to see these dogs are not monsters
Thanks for tuning in!
Hey Mike! This is Da’Vian from Lincoln. I love Rottweilers. Your videos are cool 😎
LU!! Hope all is well!! Hit my message!
Thanks for the tips because I've been thinking about buying a rottweiler...
I noticed with my Rottweiler. We can't go on vacation or go out of town for a few days. Or my 2 yr old Rottweiler gets depressed and won't eat or anything. We have to bring are Rottweiler with us anytime we are gone afew days. They are a very loyal dog.
I liked this video give you the basic insight for beginner Rockweiler owners
Thanks for watching!
my favorite baby is my 4 year old Rott! she’s smart and goofy and loving. i hate seeing the things i see about rottweilers because its just not true. but every tip you gave is true! my girl zoey follows me all over the house 😭🥺
I have my first one now he is two months old and I adore him 😍😍
Hey thank you. I have had big dogs before and waiting for my puppy ( new born ) I saw your video and just wanted to say thank you for the tips
Rotties are just awesome! They have great personalities and they have the complete package. Very versatile dogs!
I have a Rottweiler puppy she’s 9weeks and I’ve had people tell me to feed her dear meat because it has a lot of protein but I need to make sure if it’s alright since your a experienced owner of Rottweilers.
Thank you so much for this! Im.hoping to be a rott mommy in the next 2-3 years. I need to be 1000000% ready. I need to give it a great life.
I want a rottweiler so bad, but I live in an apartment and I work a 12 hour shift. I wouldn't even feel comfortable getting a dog right now. My motivation for getting a house with a huge backyard. I can't wait.
Hi Sir ...Are they do good in apartment? ...hard floor..? Do they shade???
Hey do you think Rottweilers are good for survival situations like wilderness survival or even a post apocalypse I am a survivalist and preper amd have been thinking on the Rottweiler to go with my German Shepherd I have alot of patients with any breed and I have always admire the Rottweiler amd German Shepherd
Thanks for the tips, I'm curious, would you know how much it would cost for a good Rott? Papers, shots and all.? I would like a female pup 8 weeks or so, and yes I am financially set.
I agree with u about number 4 nicely said.
Thanks man... My puppy roty is coming to me next week....
great vid man, nice calm demenor. From both of you:)
i have not got one yet but i might get a full breed rottweiler puppy but how many times r supposed to feed them everyday ?
My question was is a 37 inch crate too big or too small for a 2-3 month old puppy
Financial commitment, to be a good pet owner period
I just got my 🐶 and omg she is growling at us for even picking her up. Wish me luck
When you pointed at her and said she's caused a lot of destruction in the house she looked into the camera like "Yes, AND?" Lol
I like you comments. I like these dogs, they are so huggable.
Great advice. I have been a Rotty Mom for decades.
Beautiful dog. I got a golden retriever right now next one is gonna be a rottie
MJGtv they are completely different dogs
I have a lab right now but I think I want a rott as well but idk. I need a dog to guard property rott or German Shepherd ??
@@randomguy-yv2ec Rottweiler are more strong but tame. Not as big as the german shepard tho
random guy 23 23 each dog breed has its negatives and positives.
Thanks for tips. Planning to get rotty
The best breed in my opinion!!
got my first dog today and hes a 7 week old rotty🥺
Congrats, you have a ride or die friend!
My Rotie turn 10 weeks today
Absolutely brilliant idea which as true. I speak as a previous owner who is buying another Rottweiler. Great dogs 👊🏾
Thx for the tips needed because were getting a rottweiler
Nice video my Brother. Good info.
Hey. Can you do a quick video about crate size for new puppies. Or a. How to get your house ready for a new Rottie
How long you train your dogs
