He did know, he had to give it to Loki so that Odin would send Thor (to stop Loki) using dark magic, which would weaken him, so that he could go to the hard to pronounce place to make the dwarves make him a gauntlet without getting attacked by Asgard
So I originally was going to do endgame Thanos, and they were talking ONLY about the power stone when talking about any of the stones, saying it was the first one they had found, so I figured fuck it, that's a joke now
They actually didn't intend for that to be the mindstone intentionally. It was actually retconned in 2014's why it was blue originally. They specifically had a scene in avengers 2 where it is taken out of the scepter and it turns yellow immediately. It's stupid.

The Mind Scepter thing actually does make some sense. Thanos was simply hoping to use the power of one stone to help collect another. He essentially does this in Infinity War by using the insane power within the Power Stone to make collecting the others way easier. If you have a stone with the ability to mind control and manipulate others, who makes more sense to give it to? The mad titan or a trickster god? He knew Loki wouldn’t stand a chance collecting the tesseract and opening the portal to his army by himself, so he gave him the stone to help he do it. The main reason it was probably in a scepter to begin with was so nobody else would know it was an infinity stone. If Loki knew he had one of the strongest relics in all the existence, he might have ran away with it, but if he just thought he had a powerful staff, he would probably stick to the plan and return it when he gave the tesseract to Thanos.
Every infinity stone was put in some relic to be used. They explain this in Guardians of the Galaxy. It wasn't to hide the fact that it was an infinity stone, because obviously that doesn't hide anything if the relic itself is now as powerful as an infinity stone then power-hungry people will still want it just as much as they want an infinity stone. The Dark Elves got the Aether because it was powerful. It was powerful regardless of whether it could be converted to an infinity stone or not. The real reason that so many stones were in these relics is because directly interfacing with the stone is overwhelming. That's why Peter Quill almost died by simply holding the stone and so many explosions happened, because the stone was no longer being contained and harnessed by a relic, so it was just raw power. An infinity stone is nearly useless on its own except as a collector's item. But if you can put it in your hammer or scepter, then it's a powerful tool. Even Thanos embedded the infinity stones in a relic, his infinity gauntlet. This is like saying "the main reason we put our uranium in big concrete structures is to hide our uranium." No, those big concrete structures are nuclear reactors and that's how we harness the power of uranium. Hiding the uranium is just a byproduct.
Thing is after watching Endgame(I was gonna do that before infinity war) I saw them talk about the powerstone as if it was the only stone they had found, so I thought fuck it
Gamorra and Nebula were not aware that Thanos had known where all the other Gems were except the Power and Soul Stones for a LONG time. So their conversation you're referencing isn't a basis to say he didn't know what the Scepter was, although I can see how you could make the mistake. Unless you're a comic-nerd or something, most people don't know all the intricate lore behind everything. Thanos intentionally kept his knowledge of all the other gems a secret from the sisters, because he knew they hoped he'd never obtain them all. He knew Gamorra would be less likely to actually try and find the Soul Stone if she knew he was aware of so many others.

Thanos is not a spell wizard, nor is he a wizard of impulse. He does not need something so crude or combersome as a spell to summon his power and yet he is not so skilled at his craft that it can call upon it with a thought or on a whim. He is a wizard of the hand. Though he does not need to move his hand per say, he must impose his will unto the world with a gesture, be it a glance, a wave of the hand or... a snap of the fingers 👉
Just wanna say, I'm sure you can tell from analytics, but THIS particular video I really look forward to. Definitely think your onto something big I'm subscribbing.

I like the idea that Thanos didn't know the mind stone was in the scepter.... but he definately did. I also like the idea that Thanos is only just now fighting a bunch of weirdos, but between his candor and the fact that he's a galaxy conqueror, he's probably met a LOT of "weirdos."
Pretty much anyone's perspective opposite of Walt's would be kind of funny. This high school chemistry teacher comes out of nowhere and mucks everything up
This was so fun and I love this pov series, but I am soo disappointed that you skipped over the Doctor Strange versus Thanos fight! He'd be like "the magician is tryna scrap so I oblige cuz I'm at my prime, I finally get to throw down, this is my moment, my destiny, so I'm throwing out combos using multiple stones at once, thinking on the fly, then he throws a dimension at me and I'm like oh yea? So boom I counter with a black hole! The fcker turns it into butterflies, I'm lowkey shook. He tries to psych me out with shadow clones but Ive got the reality stone so this is child's play. All this and he didn't even use the time stone once, lol"
Reminder that when strange clones himself, Thanos use the reality stone to reform strange into one, but he also uses the soul stone to assess which one is the original. The Russo brothers were absolutely cooking.
1:34, 6:13, One interesting bit about the Mind Stone, they never explain where Thanos got it but it being the first stone he ever found and the fact that it and things associated with it like Wanda's powers can cause visions, there's the sense Thanos started his quest because he interacted with the Mind Stone, which gave him knowledge of the other stones (and maybe was how he knew his civilization was going to end up destroyed). So there is a chance he knew what the scepter really was and had concealed the stone in the scepter to hide it, and was either very arrogant or very patient when it came to the idea of losing it because he somehow had the means to easily find most of the stones and he knew with his abilities, resources and the other stones he'd get his hands on, any opposition or obstacle would hardly matter to him. While he did underestimate his opponents enough to allow them to nearly beat him a few times, he was ultimately proven correct, successfully completed his mission and died thinking he solved the universe's problems. 14:39, Also, thank goodness more people are pointing out the fact the "kill half the universe to solve the population problem" is short-sighted and born out of a twisted fixation on death.
Ok that was pretty funny. But I think the minion reporting the thanos is the best part, your accent just lends to that polite reporting of bad news to Thanos.

@@BioHunter1990 i'm not a native english speaker, but i consider "person/people" all fully sentient beings with self-conscience (who am i?) and agency (i do this because i have made a deliberate, free choice). Vision is a person by my definition, he just isn't human, but an AI. He's very similar to the Geth from Mass Effect, minus the hivemind.
Thanos was not using the power stone at all. It was not glowing in the scene. Thanos is at least as strong as Hulk, but he's more durable, AND on top of that, he's a far better and coordinated fighter. Thanos didn't need the power stone to beat Hulk. The truth is literally right in the scene.
@thenovicewhispers I'm really sick of people using that argument. First off, the whole point of that scene was to exemplify Cap's mental fortitude and determination. It was never about it being a feat of strength. Secondly, did you not see how cleanly Thanos knocked Steve out after the fact? Thanos was briefly caught off guard by the strength of this seemingly normal human before he gave in more output. It's like you trying to squish an ant, only to discover this ant is strong enough to barely withstand your force. Eventually, you just put in a bit more strength, but it's still a seemless effort, as you are still exceedingly stronger. That's essentially what had happened. You could put Hulk in the same position in that very scene, and the outcome would have been the same. Captain America is strong enough to at least catch the higher tier characters off guard, but it is clear whenever he's still outclassed. Also, Spider-Man "holding back Thanos" on Titan was only possible because Thanos was momentarily distracted by the other fighters working in unison, and Thanos was also not anticipating how nimble and fast Spider-Man actually is. There's also the fact that Spidey is stronger than Steve. That still doesn't mean much because Thanos almost immediately regained his footing and casually dispatched Spidey. Even in Endgame, Hulk has retained the same physical stats he's had the whole MCU. It's just that Bruce is in mental control. Look how Hulk struggles to harness the energy of a fully powered Infinity Gauntlet vs. how Thanos has much less strain coursing through his body. The MCU makes it very clear that Thanos is among the ultimate top dogs in terms of physicality. Yes, Spider-Man and Captain America at their best can stagger much stronger opponents(which is indeed a testament to their own individual power), but they will still get negged by opponents that far outscale them. This can happen with Hulk, and it most certainly can happen with Thanos.
@CyreseParrish I see. I wasn't arguing with you. I was genuinely curious. I know my comment might have come across as argumentative, though. Thank you for your insight!
I really thought the most hilarious part was when finally, after living peacfully for 5 years knowing what you achieved is done, they suddenly come back, and behead you... What I also like is the evil plan sounding like a great idea from the villain's POV. Conquer the world? Well the world isn't the best place anyway, so you have to reorganize it. Everyone else are so rude.
I always thought Thanos knew the mind stone was in the scepter and gave it to Loki because he could easily retrieve it earlier But him not knowing that is hilarious 😂

The name Thanos is of Greek origin. It is actually the short, familiar form of the name Athanasios. Which is as cool and threatening as being called Joseph in the UK or America. Marvel, thus, has a supervillain that's basically called Joe.
Agent Smith from The Matrix, Emperor Palpatine, Borg Queen in First Contact, The Wizard from The Wicked Years, Davros from Doctor Who, Vulture from Homecoming (wait. This kid dating my daughter.... jesus christ), Fisk from Into the Spider-Verse I know these aren't all gold. Instead of telling me why one of these is a bad idea, comment below with what you think is a better one you would replace it with
What I don't understand is what the Time and Mind stones contributed to the snap, they feel pretty redundant. Like you could probably do the snap with just the Soul and Power stone, and I could see a justification for why you might need Space and Reality as well, but Time? Mind? Especially since they were the two most heavily guarded stones, it feels like they were overall unnecessary for the plan
I would say you need mind to be able to focus on half of the universe. Maybe see it less as a broad wish but him focusing on every single being and killing them individually over an infinite universe. Which is where also where time would come in. To do that instantly instead of taking forever. But thats just my headcannon
I mean it's kinda mcu canon that Thanos's planet was destroyed by a celestial emerging from it, which is caused by high populations, hence, he tries to reduce populations, and his motivation is not just the fact that he believes species are killing themselves with overpopulation right?
Right! Thanos plan was to stop the Celestials by killing their food, but he discided to keep that a secret because why not. It's a shame the Eternals didn't figure out what Thanos was doing and explain for the audience. Also Thanos could have explained his strategy better in 'What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?' instead of just conceding to attempting genocide.
the bit pointing out that thanos had to test to see if gamora still cared before he threw her off of the cliff on vormir..... how did i not get that earlier?????

It's interesting you did it by accident, though. It shows how much this band was a part of us back in the day (assuming you grew up listening to them as I did).
I also like the references to Thanos' motivations from the comics, even though I never read them. I'm aware of it.
Anyways, discovered your channel with John Wick's video and I'm really enjoying this video concept.
Thank you and cheers from France! 🍻
time?
@@agustinfranco0 around 19 minutes 🤘
"The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" from the perspective of Tuco would be a hoot.
The film kinda already is.
Hilarious. Can't believe I never heard the "why couldn't it be the other daughter" joke before. Genius. You have to do Endgame though if you haven't already.
Btw, second video I watched of you. Discovered you through the ATLA one. Keep it up!
New sub! This is a brilliant idea for a video series!!
Palpatine would be a fun villain to do for one of these. Both for prequel and original trilogy.
Mugiwara no goofy would love this vid💀😆
3:42 Don't forget the smart murderous space raccoon and his animate giving tree.😌
President Snow throughout the Hunger Games series would be great to do in this format!
I love your videos! They’re so funny XD
I’d love to see a Darth vader pov video if possible
I got the Linkin Park reference "One step closer to the edge and it's about to break" around 19:00
nice one
This new style of video is fantastic. Your LOTR one is great.
This is the best content I've watched in a long time. Hilarious and gripping 😂 a story we all know but truly from a different perspective. Like u aren't just narrating the events of the movie. The puzzle pieces u filled in is cannon. I swear to God bro 😭
Honestly this video in particular is doing less good than my previous ones but it's okay, just gotta be patient, I think this video is pretty good and I'm proud of the work
I mean starlord is half celestial so he isn't that normal.
nice video format, hope you can start gaining more subscribers. keep up the good work.
15:36 dude lmao
Let us never forget Thanos was in love with the literal embodiment of Death to to point of curing Deadpool with life since he kind of slid in Death's DMs and clapped soooo yeeeah
17:14 Almost swung on you for pod racing 😂
Remember - Quill isn’t a regular human. His father was Ego.
I still wonder, could Hella have beat Thanos? Great video.
If she was on Asgard and Thanos had max 2 stones, I'd say yes. With 3 stones, it might go either way.
18:08 the MCU would never...watches Agatha All Along... Well Thanos isn't Death's type 😂
Hulk if
Hank's perspective of Breaking Bad would be funny
Pretty much anyone's perspective opposite of Walt's would be kind of funny. This high school chemistry teacher comes out of nowhere and mucks everything up
Odin and hela vs thanos would slap
Odin and Hel would win for sure
21:22 bruhhhhh😂😂😂
I love that this format of video is catching on, videos like this are great!
Did you just call Star Lord a regular human?
Mr. I abducted several children and made them so competitive and STILL FAVOR only two daughters then turned one in to a cyborg
Reminder to everyone: the witch loses her mind because Thanos broke her…adult toy.
As if she was stable before
1. Lost her parents in a useless war
2. Suffered poverty and hunger for years as a child
3. Sold herself into human experimentation
4. Everything in age of Ultron
5. Everything in CA CW
6. Went into hiding for months
Her love getting slaughtered was just the last drop
@@edoardoprevelato6577 Her toy getting destroyed was the last drop. Vision was a machine...not a person. But yeah...everything else is spot on.
@@BioHunter1990 Vision had self-conscience and agency. He was a person, just an artificial one.
@@edoardoprevelato6577 Machines are not people. I'm not trying to come off rude...it's a serious question.
@@BioHunter1990 i'm not a native english speaker, but i consider "person/people" all fully sentient beings with self-conscience (who am i?) and agency (i do this because i have made a deliberate, free choice). Vision is a person by my definition, he just isn't human, but an AI. He's very similar to the Geth from Mass Effect, minus the hivemind.
havent even watched the video yet but i know im going to love it
Do the "Night King" from Game of Thrones...
That'll surely be a great video ❤
Thanos only soloed Hulk because he had the power stone. Hulk can't out power the power stone.
Interesting. I always wondered why Thanos beat him so easily.
@@CyreseParrish Why were Captain America and Spider-Man able to hold his fist back if Thanos is stronger than Hulk?
10:00 agreed, really nerfed the green race ball
Alright, you can have my subscribe. This is not only gold but you woukd make an excellent vetinari from ankh morpork
Damn once seen that cannot be unseen
You do it completely off screen is such a great line!! 😂😂
I really thought the most hilarious part was when finally, after living peacfully for 5 years knowing what you achieved is done, they suddenly come back, and behead you...
And then maybe switch to past Thanos after they go back in time thinking: "Wow, im so OP they had to go back in time to stop me"
Truly a story of "if you want something done right, donit yourself."
My man here we go. This is your thing now i hope you understand. Youve hit your niche. Congratulations 🎉
I suggest aizen from bleach or Frieza from Dragonball Z. The weirdness of anime will lend itself to your deadpan delivery greatly
I would love to see a Thanos movie that's just every Thanos scene from the MCU dubbed over by you.
lol you did such a good job
What I also like is the evil plan sounding like a great idea from the villain's POV. Conquer the world? Well the world isn't the best place anyway, so you have to reorganize it. Everyone else are so rude.
Narnia from the Witch's perspective
Right makes sense Thanos woulden’t know he was half whatever ego is
I don't think Ego was really a consideration in his mind tbh I mean Quill is probably just another guy to him
Karate Kid from Johnny’s perspective…
Nice! Can't wait to see you tackle Endgame Thanos
I always thought Thanos knew the mind stone was in the scepter and gave it to Loki because he could easily retrieve it earlier
But him not knowing that is hilarious 😂
I gave myself whiplash when I saw this video show up
21:22 is a killer
That is undoubtedly THE moment of the video! Perfect line delivery!
Now i'm fully sold on my idea of a BG3 Resist dark urge run (successful) from Bhaal's pov.
how about Xehanort next? or may Bill Cipher? "I came here from a distant past in a different dimension, and this auburn-hair kid makes a fool of me with the power of friendship? I going to start possessing people just to mess with him"
The name Thanos is of Greek origin. It is actually the short, familiar form of the name Athanasios. Which is as cool and threatening as being called Joseph in the UK or America. Marvel, thus, has a supervillain that's basically called Joe.
Always assumed it was a contraction of Thanatos, seeing he's infatuated with lady death and all
At least Thanos got the dub in the end
Agent Smith from The Matrix, Emperor Palpatine, Borg Queen in First Contact, The Wizard from The Wicked Years, Davros from Doctor Who, Vulture from Homecoming (wait. This kid dating my daughter.... jesus christ), Fisk from Into the Spider-Verse
I know these aren't all gold.
I love the parts where he talks in the 2nd person, so great
I love the part where you comment on my videos, so great
I’m absolutely LOVING the perspective series, maybe do Gargamel and Captain Hook next!❤️❤️❤️
18:00 I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE
the bit pointing out that thanos had to test to see if gamora still cared before he threw her off of the cliff on vormir..... how did i not get that earlier?????
Out of all the things I like about thanos
Him respecting Stark for what he did and him respecting Starlord for thinking about sacrificing Gamora. (Which soon after he also has to choose)
I always thought it was odd that stormbreaker was able to out power an infinity beam
Oh wow I'm literally just from Re watching this movie and End Game like rn rn 🤯🤯😂😂🔥 Crazy Coincidence and Timing
