Some people have a special air of warmth and kindness about them that is infectious. The Emperor is that kind of person. Just seeing him makes me feel happy to be alive.
I agree with you completely. The Emperor radiates warmth and kindness and a complete lack of aloofness and one feels naturally drawn to someone who is demonstrably a thoroughly good man. As an Englishman I’m very pleased that he has been received with respect and honour from the British people and is obviously a friend of our own excellent King and Queen. This State Visit has been a great success and seems to have been one of mutual respect and admiration and that is heartwarming. How refreshing and life-affirming to get away from the ugliness and pettiness of ambitious and self-serving politicians and this State Visit illustrates perfectly the wisdom of our two constitutional monarchical systems.
I agree. He is a lovely human being, and his Empress seems to be so too.
It was lovely to know that the Emperor and Empress ,despite not usually going to funerals overseas because of their strong religious beliefs, came to our much loved late Queens because he said ‘ he always remembered how kind she was to him while studying over here’ . The dear Queen would have loved that compliment. Thank you. 🙏

In my Homecity Bonn in Germany there is also a japanese Garden, it was a Donation from Japan❤❤❤❤
Many examples were removed from Kew in case of German indiscriminate bomb damage there abouts. Lot's of lovely trees and orchards were transplanted in Napsbury Park in St Albans. Still there in fact!
The Emperor of Japan has such great dignity about him. So gracious, well-spoken. Very cultured man. ❤🇺🇸

I, like many British, followed the Emperor and Empress on their State Visit to England, with great interest and have to say Thank-you Japan for the opportunity of having us experience the regal grace of your Monarch. Both the Emperor and Empress gave the impression of openness and approachability that was nothing short of transmitting a warm glow feeling towards the people of a country that we, here, know so little about. I personally look forward to learning more. Many years ago we sent a pop group to your shores and had the members briefed at the Japanese Embassy in London, on Japanese protocols to follow during their visit. The group was The Hollies and I was their overseas publicist..
Oh wow! A truly amazing sucussful group 🎉

@@kazumiwilson3165 Thankyou so much for your reply to my comment "Kazumié, (I presume that that is your name. I had some problems with your English but your kind effort is highly commendable. I am 75 years old and obviously, in the free society we had in Britain in the 1950s, little boys played war games and the enemy was still seen as the enemies of the second World War!! All rushing around with sticks for guns and making "boom! boom! noises"! The freedom of little children but it was drilled into my generation that the Germans and the Japanese were the bad guys. then, in the late '50s there was the epic film "Bridge Over The River Kwai"!! In the 1960s/70s I worked extensively in Germany and fell in love with the country and the people. This Royal visit has (I think and I hope) changed all the prejudices that were implanted into the minds of small children all those years ago regarding Japan. Japan, a fascinating country and oh, if one was younger, how lovely it would be to learn by experience, the culture of the people and their heritage. Thankyou once again!!!

I have always thought the Emperor to be a really lovely man. He has such an air of kindness, gentleness and calmness about him. He really seemed to enjoy his visit to England, as did Emperess Masako, who is so graceous, kind, and loved by so many the world over. A sincere "Thank you " to them both, and to all who made this visit possible.
A lovely gentle and polite couple. Thank you for your visit🇬🇧
A very successful visit which is wonderful ❤
It seems to have been the most genuinely happy state visit for some time.
The Emperor is positif vibes ❤

No Translation at the Speech from the emperor😢😢😢😢😢
イギリス滞在中の有意義な思い出と深い感謝を述べられていましたよ
Just heard his speech through translated cc. Excellent, very touching. He does have happy memories of his time there before and I'm so glad he, and the Empress, received such a warm welcome from everyone. Loved all the videos of the visit highlights.
I’m sad that I had no translation of what the Emperor was saying, would have loved English sub titles.
He really appreciated what the UK did for them. He is interested in global warming and is a resarcher of warter as well.
You can use the translation system of UA-cam. Then, you can see what he said in English.
such gracious man, we british have been blessed with his visit with the empress. our connection with the japanese people will grow stronger.
His Majesty is the embodiment of courteous attention and respect, qualities that endear him and Her Majesty the Empress to
the British [people..
Emporer Naruhito cool AF. He and KCIII's interest and championing of the natural world is so needed. Dang, right under that Heathrow flightplath though 😬
As you can see many people in the UK enjoyed the visit from the Emperor and Empress. Japan and it's people are popular here. Thanks for the visit and safe return home.

no sound - ?
The correct form of address for an Emperor is “Your Imperial Majesty” rather than just “Your Majesty”. The young Japanese lady, on being introduced to the Emperor, bowed three times - no doubt that is the protocol in Japan. In this country, ladies, on being introduced to a Sovereign ruler of another country, by convention, drop a formal courtesy. The English lady behind the desk gave a very brief nod of her head. Probably, better to overdo the politeness, when dealing with the Japanese, as they do like to have everything done properly.

It's a shame when they built Kew,that they didn't forsee the invention of the aeroplane.I am sure it would be a more tranquil place if it wasn't underneath the flightpath!
Think about the wonderful diversity afforded to Our World from Air Travel. I still don't know how they fly Giraffes on a plane.

Since the history of Kew gardens can be dated back to the early 18th century I think the gardens came long before the airplanes. Shame that the planners of Heathrow didn't consider where they put it
