JULIUS RANDLE AND DIVINCENZO HAVE BEEN TRADED AND I’M A MORON
Which tier do you put the Knicks in 👇
Tier 1 - legitimate threat to win it all
Tier 2- can compete with tier 1, but probably can’t go the distance
Tier 3 - middling contender, would need a dark horse run

I’ve waited so long for a creator to acknowledge that Randle isn’t a problem, especially not a “fit” problem. With the amount of shooters we have around him, teams will no longer able to zero in on him and help off other perimeter players. Teams were consistently helping off of RJ Barrett to double Randle and that led to a lot of the issues we saw in the playoffs. I can’t wait to see a healthy Randle with Bridges, Donte and OG surrounding him.
If we trade for a backup center without losing a core piece, I find it really difficult to see us losing to any playoff series this year.

I honestly don’t think it makes any sense to somehow the Knicks will stagnate or somehow be worse now. I just don’t see how anyone who knows this team and these players would think that. Bridges might not be a great 1st option but he’s a good second option and a phenomenal 3rd option. Keep in mind what I just said, even with multiple injuries this team will still be capable of taking on most teams in the league and at their best I honestly think they have the mold to take on the Celtics and make it competitive for sure. Randle has the perfect situation to succeed with less attention on him now and he really didn’t even get to benefit much from OG last season if at all, now dudes got both as well as the best player under 6’2 Ive ever seen in person at the point so it’s lookin good. I believe Leon Rose has a plan already for the trade deadline. Ever since he took over, the Knicks make a midseason trade every year that is followed by a win streak and a strong second half of the season. I think they’re gonna use the first half of the season to evaluate, and then solve their center rotation problem by the trade deadline. If that’s the case, then I believe they have a really REALLY good chance at beating Boston/making the finals.

The Knicks def. went about the 4/5 correctly.
If youre not going to have a PF or center who is a first or second option, AKA, "that guy", the next best thing is to fill the 4 and 5 with versatility and diversity, so you can throw any mix of big men types on the floor.
OKC was one of the best examples of this in 2015/16 where they could throw out any duo mix of KD, Kanter, Ibaka, Adams, Collison, Mohammad at the PF+C positions and that ended up being too much for a lot of teams.
While the Knicks dont have the star power of KD, they do have that diversity and the ability to always play in front and make the other team always having to adjust.

Brunson is clearly a star, i still have no idea how Dallas let him go because IMO it was very clear what he was developing in to and hes probably the best PG in the East.
Second, while dude is a baller you have to be fanboying out to place him anywhere near KD, at this point in time. Who knows what the future holds, that could change, although i seriously doubt that. But.... yah..... KD as a player in his whole, is vastly superior to Brunson. Even at his current age theres still no one who can consistantly and effectively deal with him. I really think randle should start and play as center with Brunson, Josh, mikal, OG and Div as 6thman. they will have a similar line up like the Celtics with 5 people on the court who can shoot, defend, dribble and esp know their role but just playing with small ball line up.
jb will focus on offense while Div is gon score coming off the bench.
Jhart should start over Div to help randle in rebounding since theyre playing small ball line up. he also leads guards in rebounding prob better than most of the centers in terms of that and you're gon need a hustle man.
Defense is also not much gon be of a problem since they got two of the most elite role players and defenders in the league. mikals a two way player and can be an elite poa def like he was wih the sun's while OG is an elite versatile def who can guard bigs.
Randle has the fundamentals to excel at the 5, a pick n roll between him and JB would be lethal. he could mismatch bigger opponents like porzingis with his offensive skills. this would also help mitch to play less min and avoid injuries.

Julius Randle is an above average INTERIOR SCORER that demands an automatic double team every time he touches the ball, thats an archetype not often seen in the league anymore. Even Joel Embiid now prefers to get the ball on the 3 point line, not opting for post ups as much as Randle. What this means is that whenever Julius gets the ball anywhere inside the 3 point line the other teams defense will collapse to prevent a one on one scenario. Randle excels scoring in one on one scenarios and teams know this, so they try to turn him into a passer, something he struggled with up until last season. Last season the Knicks finally surrounded Randle with top tier talent, letting him settle into a role instead of having to carry the team. What also happens is just by virtue of existing, Randle is creating open space for his teammates, resulting in Donte Divincenzo and Jalen Brunson having their best spot up shooting numbers in their careers. People love to shit on Randle because he isn't Paul George or Jayson Tatum, guys who rely more on their ball handling skills instead of their strength and post up fundamentals.

I'd say they're arguably better with him than ihart. But he has to remain healthy but that is true for any team. Is Philly not in the same boat with embiid? Indy with Hali? Orlando with banchero? Nuggets with jokic? Thunder with SGA? NO with Zion...Literally every team is a walking train wreck if their center of gravity player is removed. Why would the Knicks have that special concern.
