Really fair analysis. The biggest issue is definitely his lack of 3pt self creation. But at the same time damaged confidence, added weights, and lack of players setting him up are also big reasons to take in. It’s definitely possible that with a full off-season to restore his confidence, regain his fitness, and expand his outside scoring skills, and just knowing what’s at stake he will be better.

Just started the vid but in one sentence “Brandon ingrams problem is he attempts the same move into a contested midrange 90% of the time he touches the ball”
I'll be brutally honest, I just don't see how you ever win at a high level building around a player like Zion in the 2020s. The margin for error with being a TOP contending team is slim, and having your franchise cornerstone be constantly hurt AND no spacing with mediocre defense is just not gonna cut it, but crazier things have happened.
3:12 This appears to be a coaching/spacing issue. Just don’t have these two players beside one another. If the guy between them is a good outside shooter then the defense either leaves him open, doesn’t double Zion, or doubles Zion and helps off of Ingram to hedge on the outside shooter in between them. That leaves Ingram the ability to flash to the basket to either receive a good pass or a put back as Zion has excellent court vision.
Ingram doesn't want people to say his game is just catch and shoot 3's and drive and kicks. Brandon has always wanted to have a KD/Kobe esque style of fading mid-range jumpers too.
really good analysis bro. You say it the problem with this team is the spacing. Ingram has shown us that he can be a playmaker. Now, the coaching staff need to figure out the game of this team and if it's will work. I think you can trade Ingram at the deadline if it doesn't work
As a Pels fan, I would like it if we keep BI, but we do need a center that can space the floor and rebound. Trey starting would be amazing too. Honestly, Willie Green is the problem for the team. I don’t think he’ll be able to take us anywhere. So many choke jobs were because of his lineups and decision making.
Willie Green is one my favorite coaches from an Xs and Os perspective but this year is do or die for him in terms of optimizing their lineups and drilling in a consistent gameplan on offense
I think the pels problem is 3 fold. Zion is so great the offense needs to be catered around him but he's never healthy which is why having BI who is a great scorer is great. 2nd, is BI and zion are similar on offense. Both like to play with the ball, walk it down, and score. 3rd there will be too many chefs in the kitchen with dejounte, cj, bi, and zion and only 1 of them is great defensively. The pels would be better off starting herb and trey murphy next to zion and dejounte and cj because they defend, space the floor, and don't need the ball. I'm not mentioning the center spot because that's obvious. If I'm Nola moving bi is the best move because cj can at least shoot well and be an off the ball scorer. BI isn't built that way and neither is zion.

In todays game his skillset doesnt fit to be the 1st option. He should be a good 2nd option, but needs to take more 3's. Cj should be a 6moty candidate
Ingram is having a Will Smith moment
You paid an injured Zion but cant get a deal done with Ingram
But when Zion plays he's basically unstoppable

Because Brandon is always high and it slows him down. He forgets plays and his turnover are crazy .
Personally I’d take the 6’7 wing that can score from anywhere but prefers the mid over the always injured 6’6 paint guy. I know he’s unstoppable when healthy but he’s less healthy that embiid and I think they can get good players out of him. Rockets are trying to give away sengun and green. If I’m the pels, I’m fleecing them
The Pelicans tried to trade Ingram for Sengun and the Rockets said no.
@@derrionarringtonhe’s talking about trading Zion for pieces.
@@Taxthechurch Yes, but he said they were trying to give them away. They clearly aren’t if they wouldn’t take Brandon Ingram.
I wish my bulls would've traded Zach to the pelicans for Ingram before they gotten Murray.

The dejounte trade makes even less sense
What r they gna get that's better then Ingram instead? Let them actually play a full season together, you're only gna get worse
I just find it interesting that Brandon Ingram is held responsible for the team’s 3 pt shooting numbers in a way that Zion isn’t and McCollum isn’t.
I kinda respect the fact that he doesn’t shoot 3’s just cuz 🤷🏿♂️
He’s hurting his team and costing himself millions of dollars.
@@GoZags43 and Zion ISNT? Y’all pick and choose who u want to be responsible, and it ain’t never the OWNERSHIP 😂😂😂
Nobody should want his next contract, that's why the Pellies are still stuck with him.
