You know I actually watched the entire thing. Actually enjoyed listening to you talk. I have a screw on one which I can't get off. Maybe watching your video took my mind off of my problem. There is a lot of rust bridging the gland and cylinder . No joy yet.
To be honest I'm not comfortable banging dents into the threads. I can't remember if yours had a spring inside. Mine doesn't. It has 2" wrench flats on the gland of which I have a crows foot wrench for. I don't know why I can't break it loose. What does the ball peening actually do?
I get it, I talk too much and repeat myself. My wife says I am too detailed and need to get to the point. I will work on that. ( And sorry about the sniffles in this video. I try to edit them out usually but I guess I forgot to in this one. @#$@% allergies. )
Thank you. I hoped it helped. I have been cutting out as much as I can of the chatter I video now. It's crazy though, even when I know I am talking too much and I cut back; when I review the video there is so much more I end up cutting out. Apparently I just really talk too much. Anyway, Have a great day.
@@SeidelRanch I was talking about this video and the couple before it. At this point, I gave up watching. You did eventually rebuild the gland but you never showed the detailed process that everybody needs to see before attempting to do it themselves.
That is a pretty good point.. Showing the actual peening would be useful. Perhaps consider a body cam and put it on time lapse for the stuff that takes a long time. 🙂Thanks again Seidel!

Did the ping method not work?

I just viewed the beginning of part 3 and realilized that your gland is not threaded. From a diagram I know that mine is!
You are the man👍your trick worked flawless. I was about ready to take the cylinder to a repair shop.
Glad it worked. I understand the frustration.
I’m going to give this a try. I had a terrible day today trying to get my New Holland cylinder gland off with no joy!
Hell it worked, it’s hard to believe something that simple works. Did not even need a pipe wrench for most of them.
It sure does. It was the magic trick for this gland.

You really really really need to listen to your wife. Since you did not, I stopped watching your videos. Made me mad.
@@HelloWorld-ql3ki It is long winded, but that's what fast forward is for. Thanks for posting @seidelranch !
Holy crap it workes! Thanx a bunch!🎉🎉🎉
Glad it helped!
Try a medium sized air hammer if you have access to air. Get the accessory bit set.
I do have an air compressor. I need to get one of those and try that. Thanks.
Thx for this. Your wife is right, like most wives are. Please condense next time.

I BROKE THE END OFF THE GLAND.IM HAVIN ONE HELL OF A TIME
Man, that really sucks. Are you going to weld something to the gland to try and get it out?
No I'm drilling some of the wire retainer out and used a ground down nail and drove it out..I had a gland made.130 bucks
He never does take off the gland and rebuild it.
I do actually. There are 5 video parts that cover the whole process.

That video was way to long for what it was
Just easing the tension...
Waffle waffle waffle and you still didn't get it off.
I prefer pancakes.
Yap talking to much, fired .5h talking done nothing
Thanks boss. I promise to do better next time.
What a waste.........Z
Yeah, I talk way too much in that video; but the peening method is pretty awesome no less.
@@SeidelRanch I have to disagree...thought you put just enough detail and explanation but showing it actually being done woulda been a little better
