Each time after seeing these sad stories I always feel my heart in grief 0f sadness, especially with the young ones. I remember hearing about this case when i was a teenager. It made me really angry then and still does now. Sad to see no flowers for her. At least you wiped it clean for her. I also hate that you cant just walk doing your work without an issue at times. Disgusting judgemental cruel world. You are a good man. God knows!

I'm Martha's age and have followed this murder for years. The old pic of the Moxley house you showed was actually the Skakel home. You missed so many opportunities walking past houses she visited that night. Also around the corner was Marjorie walker Martha's friend and Marjories father was Mort Walker the creator of Beetle Bailey cartoon script. Now Martha's mother lives 2 blocks from my daughter in Summit NJ. Dorothy Moxley is the sweetest and most kind heart woman you could ever meet. RIP peace Martha and I'm glad your story is still out there and you are being remembered. So is her mother.
Margie's mom is actually the one who discovered Martha's corpse on the Moxley property, she was in the unenviable position of having to inform Mrs. Moxley.

The law is about a socially desirable asset: fairness for ALL. Justice is blind. Twelve years out of twenty is still punishment. When someone is given, say 15 years , they rarely serve all the yeats.

I thought the same thing. Or any of their graves, her dad's grave as well. Maybe her brothers don't live in the state anymore. I was a toddler when this happened but it was always talked about in our area and never really forgotten.

Wow you have seen this story in South Africa. Can't believe it was a story that reached worldwide attention. I guess it got this attention because of their connection to the Kennedys. Meanwhile other than Robert they probably didn't pay any attention to this lot.

There was another murder 17 years before this one that a Skakel was responsible for, he also got away with it.
Her murder was on 20/20 again this past week looking into her case. So sad and a beautiful girl.
I remember watching a documentary about this murder. Thank you for bringing attention to that young lady’s murder.
After all the shows I've seen on this case, I still am skeptical of who did it. Tommy Skagel was the one who kept coming on to her and she kept refusing his advances. The police also asked his teacher about the Lincoln assignment and there was none. So why did he lie about it?
i'm sure they all knew who was responsible. More people should have gone to prison
I still think the family allowed Michael to take the rap, more or less, because he was a very minor minor, compared to Tommy. The max he could have gotten as a juvenile would have ended when he was 18, IIRC. As it was, Michael spent time in pricey drug rehab, where he alleged made incriminating statements (the person to whom he made these remarks conveniently died of a drug OD some years later.) However, that strategy changed-- they even tried to blame their new tutor who had just started work that very day and only saw Martha for a few minutes as she walked through the Skakel house; in addition, the club used on her had belonged to the late mother, and the kids had left it in the yard somewhere. that only they would have known about. The new tutor could hardly have found such a weapon in a dark, unfamiliar yard! It didn't help when the poor guy developed drug and mental issues later, though. In later years, efforts were made to blame a cousin of Kobe Bryant and his friends, the only Black person around the neighborhood that night, apparently. He has denied this!. THEN I go back to the way Martha was killed and found. Hitting her with a golf club until it broke, then pulling down her pants to humiliate her in death without actually doing the deed does seem like something a younger boy would do. One would think the older brother, being a bigger stronger person, could have forced himself on Martha; then, if he wanted to kill her, strangled or knocked her out by hand. Dorthy Moxley is still alive, about 90 years old, and after decades of chasing Michael Skakel through the court system, has finally hit her limit. Martha has an older brother too, but it seems the family accepted this matter was taken as far as it can go.

I live in Connecticut, I hope you didn’t get pulled over for a DWB after this! I wouldn’t dare even drive through that neighborhood, much less walk around there. I worked for a large catering company that did a lot of catering for the Kennedy’s, and to be honest they are mostly pretty great. No complaints. To me the most shocking thing was that everyone knew that Teddy left that poor woman to drown in his car and got away with it. The Moxley case was terrible also.
I never thought about Ted Kennedy leaving that girl to drown, I had thought he went to the cottage and got a few other fellows to dive for her. However he swam across a channel thereafter and why would the other fellows let him do that?

I think their yards (around the houses) are very very large, and hard to search in the dark as they are partially wooded.

The younger brother served 12 years and was bailed out, anyways hard to tell who commited the crime but my guess is the older, not the younger. The motives for the older Thomas Skakel
1. He was angry because he was kicked out of his varsity team, as he was not good on school, that means soccer is everything for him. And he might have been extremely angry.
2. He was rejected by her when he tried to touch her and stuff. Later at night he was seen pushing her to the ground.
3. And the way she died is evil. The killer was vicious, and less likely for a stranger to kill a teen girl viciously. The head of the golf club flew because he was beating her so badly, and when the head flew off, he stabbed her with the handle.
4. His polygraph test came inconclusive twice.
However still nobody knows what happened.Someday justice will be served even though it will be late.

I would say Martha died at the hands of someone she knew very well, probably one of those teenage boys she hung out with .Looked a very personal attack. Obviously covered up by other family members ( brothers).

I love your videos Lamont. Those snobby people are worse in my eyes. You’re not a homeless person begging for things. Ugh. If Michael Skakel had been named Michael smith for example, he would have been jailed and they would have thrown away the key. But since he’s Ethel Kennedy’s nephew, and we’ll off, he got a slap on the wrist. He killed Martha and got away with it as far as I’m concerned. He will have to face his maker one day and will probably be sent to hell. Poor Martha. May she Rest In Peace with her dad.

One of your more researched videos. Great job. I spent a few months with a Portachese family in the poorer areas close to the Kennedy compound and everyone I met in the area had low opinions on the Kennedys.
Sadly, the Kennedys have been unfairly linked to this case, and they had NOTHING to do with it. Ethel Skakel Kennedy's brother's children were the subjects.

I’ve remembered this case since I was a little girl. I was so intrigued by it that I followed it growing up. I always thought Michael did it bcuz that was the narrative that was put out there and bcuz they said he confessed in a drug rehab. And also bcuz he was a drunk so I thought that was his guilt. I now KNOW Tommy did it. I’m older and I have heard most of the evidence. Michael was drinking already since he was a little boy so it had nothing to do with his guilt. But long story short this is why Michael and Tommy’s relationship is estranged bcuz Michael knows Tommy did it but he doesn’t want to rat on his brother. If you listen to all of the evidence it’s CLEAR that Tommy did it. The only reason they indicted Michael was bcuz that drug addict informant claimed Michael confessed and you can clearly see he said that for attention and 15 mins of fame. And Martha wrote in her diary that Michael said she was leading Tommy on and I’m pretty sure Tommy felt the same way and bcuz he was spoiled and felt entitled he got tired of it and lost his temper due to the fact that he was drunk and killed her in a drunken rage. The house sitter gave him an alibi bcuz Tommy confessed to him and he felt sorry for him and he was loyal. PERIOD! I would bet my last dollar and anything else that Tommy did it. If anybody does their research I promise you that you will come to the same conclusion.
Nope Michael did it. Tommy slept with her that night. He was not being led on at all. She wanted Tommy not Michael. Its true Tommy lied but that was to conceal that he had had sex with Martha. Michael actually placed himself at the crime scene in numerous ways and tried to explain his semen being found
