That man is a saint, instead of going into himself and spending his life grieving, for which no one could blame him,he has honoured his daughter in the most beautiful of ways, by helping others going through the same thing. I watched the Netflix documentary and he said he's the guy who can go to families and say ' I know what you're going through' and he does. I hope he's officially recognised in some way. I didn't know he was the one to find Laura my heart breaks for him 💔 but he's helped so many people in so many countries. His daughter would be so proud. I strongly recommend the Netflix series.

Hello. I grew up in the neighborhood to the right off Hobbs road and recently moved back to my parents so all this is right in my eyesight. These murders
Never got the attention they deserved. Looking back, I feel like this was kept locally quiet. I knew about the pay phone at the gas station from
Reading about the murders. I get my gas at that station and I always look at
That pay phone knowing it was used by one of the victims. They just removed it probably before you filmed this . It was to the left of the store front by the ice refrigerators. My friend lost her son when he was swept by the undertow in Galveston about three years ago. That’s where I met Tim. He had helped with finding the boys body. He really is living the life of not only himself , but of his daughter by bringing justice in the face such evil and
Tragedy. Even with so many years that have passed, and with an audience of only myself and two other people, he still talks about Laura. So when I watched your video, and learned about how he would wait in the darkness, I couldn’t help but to cry.

Laura is my cousin and we were very close. Unfortunately my family does not go by to clean very often. The graves are almost below ground level and the area there holds water and debris pretty often. They did clean last month around her birthday and when her killer was to go on trial..but i believe it was often too painful for them in the past as you might imagine. I have gone when i can but i live 4 hours away. Ive been down a couple times Just to clean the graves. We have 5 family members buried in that cluster. My grandma was the one who would always do this for the graves but she is now laid to rest next to Laura. I used to think this was morbid..always going to the cemetery, taking pictures of me and Laura there as kids..Grandma was 100% Scorpio and very connected to death. But now that I know they are not really kept up otherwise by the cemetery, i understand and respect her more.

I’ve known/know a few relatives of the victims over the years. Lived near many of the locations where victims were taken. It was until the last 15 to 20 years people have really been paying attention to these crimes. I can remember when I was younger asking me friends if they had ever heard about them, they didn’t but would ask their parents and they did. Just bc she wasn’t claimed does not at all mean she wasn’t missed. When they did identify Jane and Janet doe, both of their families cooperated with dna matching to identify them. But sometimes family is distant, didn’t know their last whereabouts to report missing or did report it, but in the hometown which isn’t near there. So that means not necessarily that the family did not care. As in those two cases. They were identified in 2019

I currently live in Texas City, TX. Grew up in Houston and made monthly, sometimes weekly trips to Galveston right past the killing fields. I was around the same age as these young ladies. I remember well some of them being listed as missing and when killing field discovered. It was chilling to think it could have just as well been me. Stopping regularly in area for gas or being a typical teen running the roads and being abducted. May they rest easy. May you be blessed Lamont for bringing these stories to light.

Heard about the story of Laura many years ago. If her father had of found the killer he could of easily got off on murdering him due to his mental state. Tim was very dedicated to bringing justice for his daughter and he did many things that most don't do. Thanks to Tim many missing children and adults have been found. They all had sad endings but at least that was one thing taken off the families mind. They no longer had to worry if they were alive and being tortured or deceased.
From the title, I was thinking that this was the work of 1 serial killer. After hearing that there were many killers over the 29 years it sounds like this is simply an infamous dumping ground for many to hide their crimes. It must be very dark and secluded at night and is easily accessible for someone to dump them and quickly keep going.
We have one of those types of areas here in Youngstown, OH. In July of 2020, my stepbrother was robbed, kidnapped, shot, and burned beyond recognition inside the trunk of his suv in this infamous local area. Many victims have been found here but each time it is the work of someone different because some of the killers have been caught. The victims have been men and women and ranged from teenagers to roughly 50 so there wasn't a specific profile. Our locals never suspected it was a serial killer even though the majority were shot then burned in the trunk of a vehicle.
You would think that they would have placed cameras where Laura and the others were found after the first few murders. Surprised Tim's organization hasn't done that. If it was believed to be only 1 killer one would assume that the killer died which is the reason the murders stopped in 2001. Thanks for sharing this story! Stay safe.

The movie sucks though. It’s “inspired” by the crimes but it’s very loosely based on them. Unlike the movie Zodiac for example which uses real names, real case files etc. “The Texas Killing Fields” movie really almost has nothing to do with the real crimes. Very disappointing.
