- Shortly after 4p on Memorial Day, multiple calls rang into the dispatch center reporting a house fire on Linwood St.
With heavy smoke showing from a distance, companies knew they would be going to work. The house was well involved upon arrival and a 2nd alarm was immediately struck.
Neighbors helped get an occupant out of one side of the duplex. Nobody was home on the other side. A dog and 2 cats perished.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
Wow, That Was A Bad One, Happy Everyone was Safe. Great work Brother. The Dizzy One.
That's to bad that a couple of beloved pets were lost 😢
But a good thing that all occupant were able to get out in time and praise to the nabborors who were able to help get one of the residents out.
Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
Definitely too late to do much when you arrive and it's that bad. You know it will take several engines and a good water supply when the flames tornado out of the windows.
Just another reason to NEVER live in a duplex, one side catches fire, your side is also gone!
Always buy renters insurance, if its available, especially for a wooded construction building.

When it's not available for whatever reason, ppl like you can go to their rescue!!
Could be your side that starts the fire
@@philindiss "NOT my side"!!
I'm not living in duplex ever, for MANY reason's!
@@markmullin4246 Well YOUR house then... SMH. Most houses DON'T catch on fire...
@sparkywfd I'm glad they got the human out yet the 'babbies' didn't make it. I hope the smoke got to them first and not the fire. 😿It's always my first question when watching things like this. "did everyone (incluging pets)make it out?" Thank you for answering before I asked.
I’ve seen the this house when I passing by uxbridge and it was very sad..
01:40 The fire in the house was so intense that it melted that plastic fence almost what, 20 feet away?!
Madness!
That's called radiant heat, you must've missed that day in science class...
It was the explosion from the propane grill that was on our back deck that blew out the fence.
Sad😭
Great vid!
the house was 4 house away from me😮
It must have been an impressive looking house. In the end it was just a cheap 2x6's and plastic matchbox. It is unbelievable why people in the USA accept those third world living conditions.
That looked like a bad fire
When a structure is so far gone why bother to try to extinguish the fire..just let it go.
Because our pets were inside.
I'm guessing the house was also older because of how fast that seemed to burn. Wow, good video as well I hope owner's get through this ok.
Houses made with modern materials burn much faster than ones built with legacy materials. The difference tends to be in construction method. Older homes tend to lack fire stops in the walls, or those stops have been cut through for plumbing, hvac, electrical, etc.
@@whowey100 I would think the wood would be much drier in older homes then newer. Newer homes (in the past few decades) use light construction, where roof trusses, etc. use webbed nail plates which are inferior to using traditional nailing methods. These nail plates will completely fail when exposed to fire, causing roof collapse.
This is our home. It was over 100 years old, it had been in our family for generations.
Don't see Uxbridge's Avenger anywhere on scene. Was it there?
I am amazed that white car in the driveway didn't catch. Given the amount of collapse evident on the Charlie side, I would have thought a wider collapse zone would have been established. The interior attack on the Alpha side through the front doors seemed an unnecessary risk, given the apparent total loss. Great coverage, Sparky!
Gee look yet another YouToob firefighter wannabe pretending as if he has a clue what he's yapping about 🤣
@@virgilhilts3924 He probably has more of a clue than you. You sound like a noob
@@virgilhilts3924 umm... I actually was a firefighter at a volunteer company when I was younger. If you have expertise that contributes to the conversation that might enlighten the rest of us, then by all means, the stage is yours.
@@virgilhilts3924 look the clue less one has returned. When will you admit you have no clue about firefighting or do I need to school you again. I'm still waiting for you to tell us the difference between a gated Y and a siamese. It's ok expert we will wait longer.
@@virgilhilts3924 Tom is 100% right, it's clear that YOU'RE the wannabe pretender.
Has to be 500 degrees in those suits
Seems to be a lot of fires are happening in that area.
Sad very sad hope someone had took them in
Thanks to our heros the firemen
You guys need a pay of thousands of dollars like the ones in sports
good save
heat aware

So, when you build that dream home, make sure it's WAY out in the middle of nowhere, so far away the FD has to use GPS to find it. Also, make sure there are no hydrants within reach.
A tarp on the car would have been good. It was perhaps the only thing to be saved at this point.
I just love that when people like you criticize fire departments when you probably have no idea what the hell you're talking about
Why so it can melt all over the car?

You know whole world 🌎 is going bad 🤨🤨
Joke fire department. No master streams - only two 2.5" lines for fully involved fire. Looks like they saved the chimney.
That House is a Total Loss and I hope the people are ok .
2deck guns and return the other town this is a joke
