This was such an amazing time! Your video captured the trip perfectly! There was literally a “want” for nothing! (Except maybe a bit warmer weather) I had so much fun riding with everyone! And to clarify. I called my bike “Grandpa” because I was straight chillin on that thing! 😅
This was an AWESOME REVIEW!!! Guy below NAILS IT.....Harley pays Jason Mamoa a couple million bucks and I saw the dude take spray paint to a Harley that anyone would give their right arm for (And not only that, they cut loose Adam Sandoval a year ago, the guy traveled around the country for 4 YEARS promoting your brand in the highest light!!).....Indian spends less than 50-100k and brings 20 of the most popular UA-camrs and turn them loose....THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!!! While I literally JUST BOUGHT a Brand new Road Glide, I sure as hell wish Harley treated people like Indian does!!!
Awesome video. Ever since I saw these bikes drop, I've wanted one. I don't ride yet but when I do I think will be the bike. Except with forward controls as I am 6'2 209lbs lol. Keep making great videos and stay safe out there! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Brought my first bike home today...2021 softail standard! Thank you blockhead for all your content and inspiration that helped me pull the trigger on this!
Jealous... i bought a vstrom 650 for my first, now, after 5000 miles, I'm ready for some of that HD Love !! Just made my last child support payment !! LET'S GOOOO 🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
I took the super chief out for a couple rides in Ocala. It's a great ride. You do sit forward a tad bit at 5'10". I had the 116 which was pretty powerful for a small bike. The control was made easy for the rider by Indian. Just about everything you could improve from the last Chief was done. There wasn't anything I didn't like on the bike. The new controller was great! Indian is doing everything that HD should be doing but refuses.
Ahh, 89A out of Sedona into Cottonwood, up to Jerome, up over Mingus Mountain into Prescott. Now you ARE in my old stomping grounds. Great riding, great views, great food.
Sharp looking bike. Like the wheels for sure. Some fellow riders and I saw a road runner in the Arkansas Ozarks. We spooked it and it ran between bikes. When we stopped, we were like "Was that a road runner????". It was indeed.
Glad they got people like yourself, HerTwoWheels, and Killswitch Queen out for this. You know, actually cruiser riders! A lot more in touch than putting Walterific on a Ultra Classic.
Get the nicest, fastest, best motorcycle you can afford. The grin factor when you ride a highly refined motorcycle with all the modern features, and a really well tuned engine, is pure bliss. One thing about the Indian bikes, is they have incredibly good engines with a ton of power. Power makes for smiles.
Give it a couple years and you might. The only thing that's gonna hold Indian back is the availability of after market accessories. Even Hondas suffer in this regard (I have several items on my Shadow which were made for Sportsters and I had to modify them). Harley definitely has the market cornered when it comes to being able to customize their bikes....so much so that they're actually designed for it. That's why Harley engines are turned way down in terms of usable power. When Indian sells enough bikes that private companies start manufacturing more accessories at a palpable price, there won't really be any reason to own a Harley over an Indian anymore.
always always always remember; Indian shut down three times after the brand was revived. Polaris may back them now, but they also did Victory. Victory is a memory.
@@deangullberry5148 It would have been silly for Polaris to have two competing lines of motorcycles. Indian has name recognition Victory hadn’t gained that much yet. I can understand why they made the change. I forget which Victory was rebadged to become the Challenger. The Octane became the Scout. The Indian Chief didn’t really look very good. Making this new style for the bike was a solid move. I don’t think Indian will be going anywhere.
With all the bullshit people calling for cancel culture of well established business I'm glad Indian didn't become a casualty and I am a Harley Davidson Guy, but I don't think any business deserves to be shut down or changed because people are offended.
For scientific moto studies & reasonings hopefully next time your able to bring BaggerBro into the mix, so we all can enjoy, I mean collect data on the Blockhead and Baggerbro Experience!
Being a Victory owner...this bike looks like it’s a crossbreed of the Victory Vegas and the Victory Gunner, minus a mono shock. If you look at 2016 Vegas when the brought the round headlight in, you can definitely see the resemblance between that and the Chief Dark Horse. I’m liking it. Once I decide to move on from my Victory Magnum, Indian is looking like it’s in my future. Also, awesome vids Blockhead. You’re killin’ it!
Got a '21 Silverado Z71 Trail Boss (blacked out) and a '19 Blazer Premier (blacked out) in the garage and looking to get this next year as a retirement present to myself after 24yrs in Army and USAF finishes next October ('23). It was between the Scout Bobber and this one but the Scout Bobber seems smaller/shorter and, being 6'4, gotta go with bigger/higher option... Chief Dark Horse it is then... blacked out of course. Can't wait... and thanks for these cool videos. Already saved your instructional ones for when I test--brilliantly put together for new riders such as myself, much appreciated. (Just noticed you mentioned mid not forward controls but the option to have forward controls so, again... 6'4, gotta go with forward controls then for me.) Oh and... 15:22... beautiful shot of it.
My thoughts too. I have a Judge in nuclear sunset matte paint. It was a dark horse in 2013. The four gallon tank on this bike looks better than the five gallon tanks on the Victory steel frame.
Now your talking.. polaris had me with the victory.. there own built bike and brand and style.. they sold there own name to buy someone else's.. what a shame
I smashed that sub button right after you said you were going to ride it with forwards and a stage 2! At 5'6", I'm really digging the new Chief lineup and can't wait to hit up my local dealer when they have a demo day this April!
Love that video! What an opportunity for you all. Thank you for the video and your reviews and thoughts! I’m a Harley gal.... but wow those are nice looking!

Imagine that. You make the best possible motorcycle, without cutting any corners, and giving people the best quality, and best engineering, and the people buy the product, and they tell others to buy the product! Harley doesn't deserve people's money, because their approach has been based on marketing, and greed. Indian build quality and engineering is outstanding.
Great review and super of Indian to have you all out there in Sedona to ride these bikes! Can’t wait to see one and test ride it at the local dealer. Ride safe brother!
Congratulations 👍 to Blockhead on going from a gun instructor to You Tube motorcycle critic. And just think, it all started with him having bought & learned to drive his first bike, a Harley 883 Iron!!! I find his remarks to be some of the most real & informative.

I'm not super well versed in Harley models but it seems like this is Indian's version of the Dyna! Indian just keeps on putting out amazing stuff, the scout when it came out was the bike that got me interested in motorcycles and the scout bobber is one of my dream bikes
@Blockhead How does this bike compare to the Low Rider S? I know you mentioned you would likely be purchasing the Chief. If you had to pick between the Low Rider S and the Chief, which do you think would win out, and why? Thanks, love your videos!
I live about 180 miles from Sedona and really enjoy riding in the back way from Prescott through Jerome and down to Sedona...great road..great ride ! Oh and I'd live to be able to afford a new Indian Chief nice bike !!
