4k now for Starfield specifically. While I stole my prebuilt Omen 45L with 14900k and 4090, 64gb of ram and 2 tb nvme for under 2k, I am concerned about the issues with the 14900k, so I am keeping an eye on it, could always swap in an AMD setup assuming the DD5 Memory will play nice at 5200?
Hey Jason my friend was looking at $315 refurbished prebuilt from Amazon that was a 3770 with a 1030 and asking if it was "good". Thing is it even included a super cheap monitor. I put together a list using lots of your advice but I can't seem to get lower than about $400-450 using rx580 and ryzen 4500 and the monitor always breaks the budget. Would you ever consider an ultra-ultra-low budget build guide or boost my build maybe like $300 without a monitor? Love the videos! Stay far away from brands like Dell, hp, lenovo, and Alienware. The components such as the power supply, motherboard, and RAM are extremely cheap. I got my prebuilt from Build Pro PC. Pre builts are an awesome option for people who aren’t confident enough to build they’re own. I got one a couple years ago and after quite a few upgrades. I’m confident enough to build my own next time.
Nice to see some non-scam pre builds from time to time. As someone who builds his own PCs I still have 2 problems with prebuilds (if the price is actually decent for what u get): 1.) The description mostly doesnt tell what EXACT parts are used, like what exact PSU, what exact SSD etc..And they usually cheap out on those. 2.) Build and transport quality/damage. Often enough they dont screw everything tightly, like the motherboard etc cause those builds are being rushed apparently. Or they forget to remove the protection stickers on NVMEs before dropping the headsink on it. So there is a lack of quality control sometimes. - Plus, when those builds are transported, sometimes they dont accurately fix the GPU being in the socket, which can damage or destroy the entire pc. So even if u expect everything to work on arrival, there are still a few things to check before running the system.
The prebuilt market is way better than it used to be, and I'm happy to say I've spoken to several of the brands (and they've told me they've watched my videos and ones from GN) on how to improve. The major brands have figured out the transport/packing and is the reason why I have specific brands I recommend over others. I don't recommend a lot of "fly by night" brands as you'll find that while they might be a bit cheaper, you'll pay for it in other ways.
@@PCBuilderChannel Yes, Ive noticed that too lately, especially when it comes to price to performance (at least the builds recommended by some known tech tubers). But its nice to hear that those selected prebuilders aspire to improve build and transport qualities
Skytech Archangel Gaming PC Desktop INTEL Core i5 12400F NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060 1TB SSD 16GB RAM Windows 11? Is this better than the (850$) skytech nebula ?
I found a great deal following your link to the Skytech 4080 S 7800 X3D. I wanted to upgrade from 1 to 2 Tb SSD and 32Gb to 64Gb RAM. When I did this the price DECREASED BY $30. The price went down from $2,279 to $2,249. This is no joke. Go take a look. Follow the link above then just change the ram selection or ssd.
I would never buy these brands, Skytech is good, but nah. To many issues from what I've did research on. I stick with MSI, since you know what parts you're getting or Dell, yeah hate me if you want. All my Dell products, including Alienware have been flawless. And I got them on sale. Don't go for Cyberpower, or Ibuypooper, absolute loud, cheap, broken down junk.
If you’re watching Jason’s great videos, you probably wanna build your own with his part recommendation. My Skytech 7800X3D/4070TI Super came with a horrible Asrock B650M mobo which went bad on me in the first 2 weeks. Skytech’s CustomerService is top notch unlike the parts used for the build.

Interesting video, thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, the Skytech PC I'm interested in doesn't come with a European socket input. I'm not sure about the other PCs. So, I'm looking for recommendations on a 4K gaming PC that ships to Europe-one that’s compatible with European voltage out of the box, so I don’t have to worry about using a transformer. I’ve got a budget of up to 4000 Euros. Since I’m new to building PCs and a bit nervous about getting everything right, I’d really appreciate any suggestions for solid pre-built options. However, if there's a good step-by-step guide for a certain build that you recommend, I'm open to building one myself. I need something that’ll last for a few years and can handle both 4K gaming and demanding design tasks like 3D rendering, video editing, and Photoshop. Thanks in advance for any advice!
For a warranty and reliability(although anyone can sell you a bad PC). And they don't know better. I bought my computer from BB yet I've learned a ton from googling PC advice and finding channels like Jason. Plus eBay has that stigma from years back where people would put a rock/brick in a PlayStation box and sell it for full price. 😨
Re-watch the first 6 minutes of the video which is a detailed buying guide. If you are still unsure, check out the links in the description where I have specific models I'm recommending right now. Hope that helps!

Then, among the various brands, I see the likes of ibuypower and origin. Is AMD only sponsoring these guys? No! We don't recommend anything with 14th or 13th gen CPUs right now due to the degradation issues. That's why you see prebuilts with them at lower prices. Check out the options in the description here, there are stronger options at that price point
Wow, that $2749 prebuilt is such a steal! How can Skytech afford to sell it at that price considering the 4090 is so expensive? They must be cutting corners somewhere, right?

Ususally building your own since the prebuilts will always add an extra cost for building and will often use worse parts than you would use for a lower price (especially the mobo and psu)
If you feel like you can build your own, then that is always the best value. But not everyone feels like they can do that, or necessarily wants to. So you essentially pay someone else to do that, and to support it if something goes wrong. That is why prebuilts exist! :)

Again no mention of MSI, Costco has a per built system for $2399.99 would you look at that and tell me what you think. I’m looking for a system to play Farming Simulator 25 on.
The RTX 2060 Super is about the same speed as a new RX 6600 8GB GPU. The 3700X is about the same gaming speed as a Ryzen 5500. So it all depends on your budget. If you are looking to spend about $900 or more I'd probably go with a new AM5 build (and I'd sell the existing build for whatever I could get for it , even $200). Pre builts are an awesome option for people who aren’t confident enough to build they’re own. I got one a couple years ago and after quite a few upgrades. I’m confident enough to build my own next time.
Yes! People turn to prebuilts for a variety of reasons, I myself have bought prebuilts during periods that I was just way to busy to build
4K PC is nice for a prebuilt. Amazing how much people can save DIY, especially at the higher end.
Jason, the hair is looking great! Really makes you look younger. Not that you’re old in any way. Love your channel.
Nice to see some non-scam pre builds from time to time. As someone who builds his own PCs I still have 2 problems with prebuilds (if the price is actually decent for what u get):
1.) The description mostly doesnt tell what EXACT parts are used, like what exact PSU, what exact SSD etc..And they usually cheap out on those.

Why are people buying $900+ 3060 prebuilds when you can get them for $600 new on ebay and other retailers?
Most people view Amazon more favourably than eBay. Not aware of any other options outside of whats in front of them.
Same reasons why I bought a Dell Alienware back in 2014; (1) convenience and (2) they’re intimidated of building their own PC.
900 for a 3060 pre build is crazy. I built my 4060 i5 12600kf for just under 750

I've decided to make the move off console to PC for FPS games like Call of Duty. I aim to play in 2K resolution and my budget is ~$2500. The thing is I'm not interested in Prebuilt gaming PC because they tend not to list details of pc parts such as brand, model name, etc but the advantage is worry-free once you buy it and you have some issue with your pc you just have to contact the dealer directly
They do tend to do that! Which is why we recommend ones that do make it clear what you are getting. (:
What’s better pre-build or making your own budget pc?
Ususally building your own since the prebuilts will always add an extra cost for building and will often use worse parts than you would use for a lower price (especially the mobo and psu)
Forgot to add that I’m only using this pc for competitive gaming
If you feel like you can build your own, then that is always the best value. But not everyone feels like they can do that, or necessarily wants to. So you essentially pay someone else to do that, and to support it if something goes wrong. That is why prebuilts exist! :)

Name one AAA game. I need a PC to play
Yo bro quick question in my market I’m getting a sapphire nitro+ 6700XT and a refurbished XFX 6750XT without box for almost the same price with xFx being a lil more expensive. What should I go ? Both of them meet my requirements but would it be more future proof ? Spending estimate 5-6$ more
Get a new Rx 6700 XT the 6750 xt is only 5% faster
And you don't even have the box for the 6750 xt soo don't go for it
@@kelley09162 yep that's what i said
IMO I would take the new part with the warranty and box so the 6700 XT. The difference is about 6% which to me would be outweighed by it being brand new, the warranty and ability to return it.
Again no mention of MSI, Costco has a per built system for $2399.99 would you look at that and tell me what you think. I’m looking for a system to play Farming Simulator 25 on.
Yeah MSI are far better than any of these crappy brands. I agree
Im slowly starting to understand what any of this means, but im still struggling on the large assortment of letters for parts.
Glad to hear it! Check out our How To Pick PC Parts and How To Build A PC videos for some more info ;)
i have ryzen 7 3700x x570 g edge wifi rtx 2060 super 8gb ram 3000mhz.should i just upgrade to 5800x 3d or go for am5 build. staying am4 worth it?
The RTX 2060 Super is about the same speed as a new RX 6600 8GB GPU. The 3700X is about the same gaming speed as a Ryzen 5500. So it all depends on your budget. If you are looking to spend about $900 or more I'd probably go with a new AM5 build (and I'd sell the existing build for whatever I could get for it , even $200). If less than that, then I'd go with the 5700X3D and dump the rest into the GPU.
@@PCBuilderChannel really thanks for the input. budget is tight . if i wanna upgrade this setup what should i do. i play pubg its super cpu based game so 5800x 3d best right? again thanks for the info .
@@TuhinMAX105700X3D is good CPU too and is cheaper than the 5800X3D so I would go 5700X3D and use the extra money to upgrade your GPU.
@@kelley09162 ok thanks for the help
Yes Ty is correct the 5700X3D is almost the same speed and right now going for $193.
I can get an IBuyPower TraceMesh 7 with a Ryzen 7 5700, RTX 4060, 16GB DDR4, B550 MB, Wi-Fi/BT, 600W Power Supply New for $699 right now. Would you recommend this deal or would it be possible to build a PC with a different CPU/GPU Combo and get better performance. This is my first step moving away from Console so I'm trying to get the best deal I can on a Budget of $900 Max but I need a monitor as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW I know with my budget I'm only in 1080P range which is fine for now although 1440P would be nice.
You can build one for better price to performance.
You can actually go 1440p if you don't mind being a little over budget. This build is currently $903 + Tax
It's list / hFqkpB in PC Part Picker
We just need to see during Prime Day if there are any sales and if the 5600 CPU goes on sale to make it the same or cheaper than the 12400F.
I don't love that combo. Check out our options here! You'll get a much for powerful pc for not much more
@@PCBuilderChannel OK thanks for the reply, I didn't want to get something that isn't going to perform very well but when I looked at all the parts separately I couldn't build that PC for anywhere near that price so thanks again for the info.
is 4 sticks of 8gb ddr4 ram viable? I currently have two 8gb sticks, planning to add two more.
Only if it's the exact same kit
will that lower my gaming performance? I saw the stuttering issue with 16gb, and I dont really want to replace it with two sticks of 16gb.
@@NeverFrosty it should be fine as long as they're the same sticks.
Okay, thank you bro.
Should be fine as long as its an identical kit. That being said DDR4 is so cheap I might just buy a 2x16gb kit just to ensure no issues
great vid, also :
Legion Tower 7i Gen 8 Desktop: Intel i9-14900KF,16GB RTX 4080 Super, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD $2100
code Towerdeal15
The RAM sucks in this very high latency.
Just read the reviews below.
@@anshchandarana reviews are overwhelmingly good, there is a few issues with the bios
@@Synful_ I know majority are decent but the people are facing issues with latest AAA titles crashes and what not, sort the reviews from least rated to find what is the consistent/recurring issue. It's your choice at the end of the day tho.
Not that CPU if you haven't bought it yet! Its having all kinds of issues and Intel is currently refusing to RMA it so I just can't recommend them anymore
