Way to problem-solve! The screen printing communities are fantastic. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Jerome, just found your channel. I love the authenticity and down to Earth manner of your work. Keep it up. I go through the same things you do. Thanks! - Alex

I've read you shouldn't wash out from the inside, only from the outside (shirt side) of the screen. I made the same mistake. Another piece of advice, watch out for dust. I wasn't paying attention to how I stored my screens and when I had trouble washing one out, I noticed all these dust particles in the emulsion. It made the emulsion come out in chunks in places. I also recommend filling all your ink cartridges on your printer with black ink made for separations. I found some at an online re-ink supplier for around $70 for a large bottle.

You might want to rinse your screens out on the print side of the screen, rinsing from squeegee side could cause a lot of problems.

Yes. Always the print or substrate side. Squeegee side tends to put to much pressure on the image. Also, wet it on both sides, let it sit for a moment then washout. Less water pressure hitting the emulsion.
Dope videos, I’m a commercial screen printer and brand owner. I’m always learning. I have been listening to your videos while I’m in the shop. Great content!

I find it best to soak your high detailed screen in warm water for a minute or so and use a spray nozzle with all the different types of adjustments (Jet, soak, shower, mist etc etc) to get your stencil. Power washers tend to cause major halftone blowouts or very subtle ones where it tends to effect the print quality.

To get a darker film positive.
Turns out my issue wasn't that. I had a starter exposure unit and half tones just wasn't going to be easy on it
