I have heard that her grandfather once told her to never do anything you are not proud of (or something to that effect), hence the mirror of introspection. The "waitress" played herself in a way. A lot of aspiring young artists would like to get a chance, but to put food on their table, they have to work odd jobs. Now Miss Angelina is known as a springboard for the career. When THE BOSS (Angelinas nickname in the industry) employs you, you are very good and a many doors in your future will open for you. This is what I heard/read from different sources over the last years. Miss Angelina has the freedom to hire and fire as she sees fit.
