Willie Scott is amazing, stop it. Yes, she is spoiled and self-centered, but she was actually stronger than most fans make herself out to be and did some really heroic stuff throughout. Plus, she's hilarious.
@@TheMovieHowze Same. I like Willie Scott because she's the only one of Indy's companions to actually develop as a character. Marion at the beginning of Raiders acts the same way as she does at the end, likewise Elsa. Willie goes from being a screaming damsel in distress to punching guys off mine carts and stomping on Mola Ram's fingers, and is the only one to call Indy out for all the shit she goes through (IIRC, unlike Marion and Elsa, Willie never asks or volunteers to go with Indy; it just kind of happens).
I watched Temple of Doom 30-40 times as kid on VHS which I had recorded off HBO. Still love the movie to this day and tonight I had the pleasure of seeing it on the big screen. It was a magical moment to experience this on the big screen in 2024.
I always wondered how they did the bridge scene. 3 different sets to complete all the elements. Those kicking mannequins were so realistic I thought they were stunt people!

Just watched this last night on a whim, again. I have seen it countless times and every time it keeps me for the entirety of the movie…brings back childhood memories, along with appreciation for good classic movies! This is my personal favorite followed by raiders and crusade (do we even count the last two at all?)
I like the villain of this film, Mola Ram is the perfect blend of Manson-esque cult leader with the wicked manipulative intelligence of a Bond villain, a balance that suits the films dark tone. Add in his plan to desecrate all of the world and their religions with the mystic stones, Ram is on the level with Donovan or Spalko as a monster.

And seen behind the scenes and all the work that went into pulling it off I really have to respect how well it was put together and the great lengths they took to achieve all these amazing scenes truly a work of genius and great skill via the crew the cast and the production!

I was living in Twin Falls, Idaho and the raft going off the canyon was the Snake River Canyon just to the northwest of Twin Falls. Now, I see crazy lunatics are base-jumping off the Perrine Memorial Bridge which is about 2 miles from where the raft went off the canyon. But they used the Snake River Canyon for the raft fall. Good choice...

Four questions I've always had about this movie. 1. Why were the sacrifice's arms being held high up above him? 2. Why was a Thuggee wrapping his arms around the sacrifice's neck and holding the sacrifice's head back? 3. Why did Mola Ram stare at the sacrifice's chest for a few seconds after he held his hand over it? 4. Why did Mola Ram wriggle his hand around while it was going into the sacrifice's chest? If someone knows the answers to my questions, please reply and let me know. Thank you very much. 😊
1. To expose more the chest (something like in crucifixion) 2. Same as above, to keep him straight and with chest exposed 3. It's part of the dark magic involved in opening his chest to extract the heart 4. Same as 3. Just my two cents
