This is a geniously designed case in many levels. You build is as you go, making placing components and pluging in tiny connectors a dream. It has modularity built in with those holes. Hopefully cooler master makes replacement panels to customize the case. Also, the shipping footprint is tiny, they can ship more cases and have more stock in stores.
I'm 1:16 into the video and I'm already giving a thumbs up like for presentation. Nice. I just got this case myself last week and I am very impressed. It can work as both a conventional pc case or a work benchtop. Whoever designed this was a pure genius.
If IKEA did PC cases! Am glad to see there weren't pieces left over at the end of the build! Exceptional video as always Matt. Keep up the excellent work.
I think it's not a coincidence.. Want to build my first PC after around 20 years and I came across this case this morning. My first thought was you Mr Matt Lee. How would you build it? Just to come home to see this video :) Awesome as always, truly appreciate your work.. everything is so clean and pleasing to watch. Thank you!
Welcome to the club. I am in the exact same boat. I built one PC for my son about 3 years ago. Side note, I’ve been a Mac user since 1987 and I’ve come to the gradual realization that apple now builds needlessly closed hardware which put me on the fence. Since discovering this channel I took the leap and am now in the midst of buying parts to build a replica of this machine. This love this build.
You built this case so cleanlyyyy. Not to rag on other pc builders on youtube... but this is probably what cooler master was aiming for when sending this case out😂 HOWEVER... I seem to recall that you can place a handle in the front to protect the front ports... you might want to consider placing it there... Personal anecdote.. I think our cleaning lady was having a bad day.. but she sent my ssd flying across the room with a force as strong as a furious hurricane 😅 I do hobby video editing and all my files for the past 10 years, along with some family pics and past pets are gone.. It's been a week, and it still hurts😅😂🥲😭 darn it hurts 😭
When it comes to these builds, I would love to see temperatures for the GPU and CPU in stock (no overclocking) so we can see how cool it get while on Idle & Load.
Thanks to this video I bought this case and was able to easily set it up and get running. It's pretty intuitive with a video, but the manual is...a lot. I put in a 12900KF, and MSI 4090 Suprim Liquid cooler. The only downside was CPU&MB power runs alongside a GPU AIO. If you make an error, you'll have to undo something, so be careful with AIOs and PSUs with short power cables.
The SFF has too many compromises for me to justify the smaller footprint. I am sure in some situations it is called for but for most, it is just a challenge This is portable(relatively)and except at the highest level without compromise on the parts you can use. For me this may be perfect, I wanted the smallest nice case I could fit an ATX Board( EVA 2 Asus) for a nice theme build. I already have a Corsair 7000d but am undecided if I go David or Goliath for a theme build. I have no space concerns but sadly I do have budget considerations so can only make one every few years.
I still use the Cooler Master HAF 932 case, got it 14 years ago in 2009 because it was huge and had many 5.25 and 3.5 drive bays that require no tools/screws to use. I have done about 4 rebuilds with it. Although I dont need all the drive bays anymore, its still an amazing case. It came with 4 case fans, I have had to replace 3 of them, the front intake fan is still working like a champ. Just moved from a CPU air cooler and installed a Corsair 360mm radiator AIO liquid cooler in it with no issues at all, plenty of space.
Man, THE QUALITY OF YOUR VIDEOS IS OUTSTANDING! HOLY SH...! I'm building this PC with a few twists of my own and watching your videos just makes me more and more excited about it. Thank you for your awesome content!
I don't know when I'll build another PC but I love this build, especially the case. I like that there are 3D prints that you can add to the holes in this case. When I do rebuild my PC this is the case I'm going to use.
Seriously the Qube by other youtubers doesn't look as good as yours..👍 and really alot of work in your videos when you record in different places, different angles.💯
Just built a system with this case and am very happy with it. The instructions are a bit scattered but far from as bad as some youtubers say, and honestly, if you can't build a case this simple, you might want to give a second thought about building your own system. The design, materials, paint and fit quality are excellent. It's compact and has huge breathing room (it's 07/07/2024 and mine already came with the higher flow dust filters). I did purchase fans for the bottom of the case to make it a positive pressure chamber. After my experience I bought three more for systems I'm building. If you want a very compact full ATX case with great configuration flexibility, I'd highly recommend the Qube 500.
Fantastic! Build Matt, I do indeed like this chassis :-). Dang! that air flow is some thing else. The smoke just bellowed out of every orifice during the visualization test. Possibly one of the better air flow chassis I've seen to date. Muchly enjoyed all content as always. Your creativity never ceases to amaze! Cheers - Jass & Jacqui E.
Great video once again. And you showcased (pun intended) the build up of the case awesomely. Now I‘m thinking of getting one of those for the next build. 🤩
I know it's not ideal form the perfectionist point of view, but I would really like to see a video with most of the "failures" like falling screws and stuff. I think it could turn out really good, because the quality of the video is so high, everyone would enjoy it. We all know how long it takes and how hard is to make this videos. Keep up the amazing job! Cheers!
Really intrigued by the potential of that case, easy to build in, easy to use as a test bench, customisable. yea, flatpack to reduce shipping volume so a bit kinder to the planet. And the story of the build so nicely told.
I’ve been watching so closely at your videos these last months as to what case to get after the tempered glass on my 011 Dynamic shattered to see what there is out there and this may be my next choice, not sure if you have a build don’t yet in the antec P120 crystal but would be more than stoked if you did. Much love MML and I always ditch whatever video I’m watching whenever I see an upload notification from you ❤
I’ve actually built in the Antec P120 Crystal a couple of times but sadly not on UA-cam as it was before I found my feet here 😮💨 That said, I’d be more than happy to get a fresh build with it on the channel very soon for sure! Stoked to have you here watching my videos every week too. The support is felt 🫶🫶
@@Mr_Matt_Lee I always do my best to support people no matter who they are or what their passion is. You sir have gotten me out of really bad days and I have watched I am fairly certain almost every video and have I’m pretty sure even followed you on other socials
Love it how you can disassemble the case down to the base for easy installation. Also looks like there are a lot of fan mounting options on the panels. Not to mention small packaging footprint for makes shipment easier. 😍
two exhaust on top, turn cpu fans around and use the back exhaust as dedicated intake for the CPU cooler as you are doing with the gpu - see temps improve....
@@Mr_Matt_Lee yeah, it's so good, obliterates any game I try so far! and the curved screen is so immersive! Been playing the new company of heroes, and victoria 3 - starting wars in Europe as Belgium haha!
One of the most satisfying and well-done build videos I have ever seen! Amazing work. I'm not sure I like the placement CM chose for the PSU, it's an aesthetically unimpressive component to put out on display like that.
Just came across your channel and finished binging majority of your videos; I also subbed. Do you plan on doing a white version of the thermal take pc case x noctua?
I can't recall the channel name but they suggested a new mesh design to help thermals on this case and CoolerMaster gave thanks and promised they will release a better one, as an owner of the previous Q300L I have my doubts about airflow as I had to cut the fans area of metal to improve my thermals
INDEED, "Valuable footprint" just like the one you've built here is awesome to #adopt by the next generation builders. Thank you for the time and effort of conceptualizing your awesome build. 🙏🙏🙏
that modular case + airflow focus case full of holes on all side, Top has enough clearance to mount AIO plus that's a case that is really easy to clean during maintenance and trouble shoot since its FULL modular. TBH if it were me i remove all those filters its clearly a high positive airflow case dust will be blown out of the case and that will increase airflow by doing so and you can lower RPM and get a more silent system then again cleaning maintenance with that case is EZ.
It is a great successor of Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L case, that solve it biggest issue - unable to setup long PSU with modern video cards longer than 360mm.
This is cool, watching you build a case around the motherboard. I love the industrial design metal, black very nice. This case is great if you need to change, clean or service something, besides looking awesome.
Very nice. I like the fact the case isn't covered in rgb fans or lights. Colored lights don't make the pc run better or make the build easier all they do is increase the price for no real gain, except for looking puurrrddeee.
Finalmente criaram o que eu vinha querendo / imaginando durante anos, um gabinete criado pensando em praticidade ao invés de visual mirabolante e "gamer".
Hey! I also bought and built that case. Awesome experience! I used a 240 AIO instead of an air cooler though. Tried to fit a 280, but didn't work out because the radiator was bumping into the PSU and I decided to abort that experiment. Anyway, any specific reason why you went with an air cooler? Can you please share your CPU Package temperatures while playing? Also, any reason why you used 120 fans instead of 140? The case seems to support the slightly bigger diameter. Thanks a lot and keep it up! 👍
Edit: cybernetics gave this PSU a very good review. I wonder if a better choice for the PSU could have been considered. My concern is that this PSU already has a fine mesh for intake, which may put more strain on its fan compared to other PSUs with a more open vent. Combined with the QUBE 500’s many small air passages, this could potentially increase the PSU fan speed, leading to more noise. Nevertheless, I believe this is a good PSU overall, and as always, this build is beautiful. I’m trying to build something similar while keeping budget constraints in mind.☕️🖤
This is by far the most industrial looking cases I’ve seen up to now. In love!
Wow... this case is something else. About time we see some innovation in the PC space
I agree with this 🖤
That case is so hot…. My jonsbo D31 is dead to me now.
First thing I thought too..modular PC case now that changes things up. Might be too complicated for the less savvy but options for those who can.
Would like to see the InWin Dubili, it’s also a flat-pack case! The gold color could go very nicely with Noctua.
That Airflow Visualisation fascinates me every time! never gets old. Mr Matt Lee is SERIOUSLY underrated on UA-cam I hope you get to 500k++ subs.
It's a q500l with different panels, same concept. Cooler master did it many times ago.
This is a geniously designed case in many levels. You build is as you go, making placing components and pluging in tiny connectors a dream. It has modularity built in with those holes. If I wasn't into SFF cases I might consider this. One of the things I like is it remains compact while offering support for fairly beefy components.

love your style to showcase the build!
Loved the build! keep up the great content.
thanks for the airflow visual, that was my main concern since its pretty small for an atx case
Like the style that you start with an open case and build it up like lego. Bit by bit.

The jigsaw puzzle case 🤣 thanks for another great video!
Marvellous build as always ~ Great one!
great video excellent work on computer editing quality precision....👌👌👍👍
It's a very grown up, clean look. It's like, I'm a gamer but I'm still a mature sensible adult!
