- My buddy @BassQuest taught me a trick that changed the way I fish a Texas Rigged Worm. In this video I show you how to rig a soft plastic worm so you can fish it in a variety of techniques.

I just squeeze on a split shot in place of the second bobber stop. Works great plus you get a little noise when the tungsten hits the lead split shot
I have started to go more towards the free rig for similar reasons. It works great and once your used to it you can get an idea on how to make it fish more like a Texas rig where the weight stays tighter, or more like a c rig where the bigger rod bumps make the weight jump and slide away making it more of a c rig. But I still don’t feel like anything can ever completely replace the traditional Texas Rig.
Thanks for sharing
Awesome tip
Holy cow. 🤯
That's a pety rig.....Peter thilverious
Nice, thanks for sharing!
Outstanding tip!
Camera looks good. That's been one of my little tricks for a while now. I buy the cheaper bobber stops because they are a little smaller that the sixth sense. Also when you slide it wet your line because if you go to fast you can " burn" your line and make it weak.
I like it ! Versatile.
Unless you are fishing a floating soft plastic w a very small hook....your lure does not float up off the bottom....it is a more subtle presentation....but put it in a pool....they don't float.
Camera looks really good!! I'd add a 3rd bobber stop to back up the 2nd one, and maybe add a bead behind the weight for a little extra clack. Just my 2 cents. Great tip, especially for us kayak guys!
Mikey, you have a great channel. You are always high energy and passionate. You are very conversational and you give great detail on techniques. Thanks for your great efforts.
Video looks great. We can tell it's an upgrade. Great stuff as always Mike.
I just like to slide my weight up about 10 inches and do the old toothpick trick to peg my weight in place. Doesn't budge at all, even with a 3/4 oz weight. But that toothpick tip comes out really easy when I wanna change out or adjust the length. I fish shallow lakes covered in thick salad on the bottom. Getting that bait up off the bottom is a must. Bass don't eat salad.
I’m terms of bass fishing tournament tips this is genius, cost = 1 more sinker stop, effectiveness =2 whole setups
Great camera. I fish from a kayak and have been using this setup with success. Two presentations on a single rod and reel.
I’ve done this procedure for several years now. You can change your fishing style instantly plus it’s one less rod on your deck. Great info.
Been using a T stop like that for years. OG Texas rig catches em super shallow or balzz deep! 💪🎣
Now this is an awesome trick. Multi purpose rig i love it. Never would have thought about it... Thanks.
