I literally just ordered these an hour ago. They will be my first aggressive skate. I skated in the 90s but could never afford aggressive skates. I am gonna cry when I open them. I bought a buckle as well.
Sasino _ Yes it’s going great I had to put them away for a little bit because of work but I just picked them up again today and it seems somehow I’ve gotten better without even skating. Lol. I think I just tapped into feeling it as opposed overthinking it. So far I got 180s down and switching to fakie, skating fakie. Cruising. They are everything I ever wanted. I did take the buckle off though. That thing just kept coming apart and it was making me nervous like there was something wrong with my skate so I just said fuck it and took it off.
Aeons are perfect for me. I realy like the stock liner, and that its tie-able up to top. Also the stock wheel was great in indoor skatepark, did not slip at all, while other guys had problems with grip. Kind of paint they used in that park. Now i have put in 64mm wheels in front and back, i skate antirocker. Fun fact: 64mm wheels fit front and back position without mods.
Would be nice if usd made a "spare soulplate" for aeons, like that from legacy but with better fit. And the next generations of aeons coming with the holes, just to put the soulplates when you want. I know the frame/soul/shell is not so expensive, but the problem os the fact they dont sell the coloured parts separetally, like the new brown parts from lomax skate
I like my aeon basic with my Reign Liner and Dead Wheels. but the video should be titled "USD Aeon the best all-around aggressive.... if you change everything that comes with it :-)

I miss my usd grycon clan. They were the best ever. They even got me first place in a national once. But that was 14 years ago. Tomorrow im getting brand new roces m12! now im 30 and im picking it up again!
The velcro gets better after 10+ hours. But it's a giant PITA those first 10 hours and pops open a lot. The model you show in the video - with the second skin liner and the soft top boot. Is that the newest model? The models you link to don't seem to have those options, but are hard top and contain myfit skinny liners. (edit: nvm....I found out it was the USD Aeon 60 XIX).
Good info. I've been wanting to try the Aeons next so this is nice to see the good stuff and the best stuff. Also, I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect skate out of the box. You have to make it the way you like it which usually means changing stuff.
Hey Ricardo, great videos! How is the shock absorption on the Aeon’s? I have a bad back and need to have soft landing. Any tips for best shock absorption setups?
I like the idea with the soul part upgrade you did, but it is also possible to cut out and shape with right tools, to install a UHMW plastic plates to fit, they are available in diffrent sheet sizes and thicknesses, this is the same material that the Leaf frame company use aswell if i remember right,aswell as Moonshine wheels.. but anyway it was just a opinion for replacing /upgrade the souls since the uhmw material is strong :) love your channel ,keep posting :)
didn't know that about this skate. it would be awesome if USD allowed small plastic plate inserts or put teflon inserts like k2 did in there next Aeon mold.
Nice mod. USD should take notes and make limited versions with these sorts of liner+soul+wheel mods with a higher price tag. They're relatively popular rn so Ik anyone with funds who are USD fans would cop em.
Gonna try to find those Legacy plates to attach to my Aeons and see if I can get some slide going and begin to learn some grinds. I find the soul plates very sticky and as a beginner-level blader I need all the help. Great advice 👍

The skate is quite wide (not super wide) and quite long in 43/44. What's your size in mm? If you really are 44 you will be happy with the 43/44. Many people downsize on Aeons. The Second Skin liner is very thin. So the models that come with the Second Skin would be a save bet, even if your size is on the larger part of the shell. The basic black model has a thicker liner.
I got the Aeon 60 LE Team Red/White and I love the soft leather riveted onto the shell for the laces... I want to get a pair of black ones but it looks like only the white ones have the leather riveted on... do you know which if any of the other models have that? Great video I have been trying to watch all of your back log of videos.. lots in there.
I've been trying to psych myself up that I wont get laughed out of the park, but most current videos are not in the US. I hear aggressive online is still big in other countries, but man.
I'm You, You're me that was the same case for me when I started. I’m in NY and I haven’t seen more than 5 other bladers since I started. When I go to parks I don’t get laughed at; they kinda respect how I want to roll, but since they’re skateboarders they really only like to skate around other skateboarders
@@myriggatony ah, no way hah - that's where I got introduced to it ! Long Island and back in like 2005 - there were soo many people at the parks doing aggressive inline. But I'll probably still just do it. The only people I see now are on skateboards, or chicks on quadskates
I resonate with this. I live in California in a very heavy BMX and skateboard centric town. Growing up at my local park I would get threats. Most notably, a guy told 14 year old me that he was going to hang my by my laces. After 2 ish years of serious hazing, I was accepted in the park and recognized by my skill. I ended up taking 6 years off of skates and on my return I see the park full of roller skaters and some blades.

You mentioning the bad sole plates makes me reconsider buying these skates. It's because in my country it's so hard to find skate parts. And ordering overseas costs double the price. Can applying wax on the sole be a workaround or is it a bad idea? (I'm new to aggressive skates)
Does the cloth top result in less pressure on your foot/arch? My Aeons push down on the top of my feet, and I was wondering if the XIX might fit better.
Spot on review, especially about the straps. They are no good. Can I request a review of skates that might be good for people with flat feet (de pés chatos)? Always have trouble finding comfy skates....
@Houston Skater seems that the 2019 version the Velcro becomes undone easily. Check Ricardo lino previous video with the XIX he experienced that problem right out of the box
@Houston Skater don't worry, if you ordered the Sam croft pro like me. They don't have the cuf buckle in Velcro. So only the 45 can be at fault and as you just seen you won't need it that much if is faulty. And you can always replace the strap

My last agressive skates have been the USD ALL Star 2010. I loved them. Now 2019 i want to start skating again and can not decided which skates i want to buy. I thought of the Aeons but i'm not sure about the 4 wheels when they have the same size. Maybe i go with the USD Carbon Team II Brown 2019 Fluid IV Setup. What do you think of these?
Would you recommend the new white ones or the Sam Crofts? I'm trying to look at the differences but apart from the strap/buckle they look pretty much the same. Was going to go with the 5th elements for the nostalgia vibe but these Aeons look pretty damn good.

Hey Ricardo, I was wondering if you knew whether or not you can use a Roces ankle buckle on an Aeon cuff? I don't have a pair of M12s, so I can't check myself without ordering a set of replacement buckles... The Aeon's top buckles feel like they're kinda loose, and have some lateral (up-and-down) play.
Does anyone know if Razors cuffs would work on USD Aeons if combined with a non V-cut liner? I'd like to give them a try but I've always struggled adapting to any skates with a v-cut cuff

Anything you can fit your feet in you can skate. They are releasing a new rose pink (I think it was) Aeon aimed at women in the future. Kind of sucks cuz I imagine they won't go above a size 8 or something, otherwise I'd love to get a pair from what I saw of the pictures.
Why is it USD can't use a harder plastic for the shell, if folks are out there skating carbon fibre shells that are even stiffer than glass-injected nylon?
i just bought these and feel like i have really bad heel lift esp in the bigger size. the smaller size seems to put pressure on my front foot. will they loosen eventually and do you have any tips on heel lift/other recommendations?

Get aeon 80s instead if you really want aeons but dint wanna do aggressive. Aeon 80s are expensive though so if you are on a budget, just get a regular 4x80 or 3x110 wheel skate
I've decided in the usd aeons now I cant figure out if I want the 60 or 72 mm coming from aggressive/hockey background I also haven't skated in a decade but I live in brooklyn NYC and want 2 be able 2 skate around and not kill my legs but that h block seems small but doable with practice???
They've actually had to cut holes out of the base of the boot for your wheels (like wheel wells that go all the way through!) so there's really not much material to work with. I'd imagine where those holes for the wheels are is also about where the UFS bolts would go, so you'd have nowhere to physically attach them to.
I think you either need to have an in at USD or get lucky and find an old set on eBay or somewhere. Your best bet is trying to find a similar soul plate and bodging that on. Or even just buying the right type of plastic and making your own soul plates. They don't have to be perfect they just have to raise the original soul up so it doesn't wear down anymore. Good luck.
This I'd something I had laying around. You can use a piece of cutting board or even cut a piece of some usd carbon souls.. there plenty of plastic stuff out there.. this is just an example. ❤ thanks for feedback
Go on eBay and buy a sheet of plastic. You can even get small sheets of oil impregnated self lubricating nylon for dirt cheap (including international shipping). Buy some countersink drill bits, a few sweet countersunk torx screws, a few tee nuts. You could make some stock-ish looking sliders with a few basic hand tools.
Cara eu uso AEON eu andava de Remz, tive que reaprender a fazer todas as manobras de Top, por ele ter a base alta fica bem complicado, hoje tá melhor, mas nem sem compara com o Remz, porém o USD achei bem confortável, só machuca meu pé quando fico 4 horas patinando direto, no osso do tornozelo na parte de dentro. Mas o patins é bem legal de andar.

Used to do this to all my skates with the stock souls would wear down. Works well with tall frames, not so much with normal size ones.

Easy, just stop ride. Every skates will damage your back in your situation.
So many aeons end up on blade trade, People rip the liner out and expect someone to pay almost full price for the rest of the boot. Quite insane.

I think razor sl with antirocker are the best beginner skate. They have a big soul plate and you almost never get wheel bite with anti-rocker.

I am very shit, but still able to do front slides on 72s. It is definitely doable, and definitely good for the NYC skate nights.

What do the bolts on UFS frames look like? Why can't they just use slimmer bolts?
They've actually had to cut holes out of the base of the boot for your wheels (like wheel wells that go all the way through!) so there's really not much material to work with. I'd imagine where those holes for the wheels are is also about where the UFS bolts would go, so you'd have nowhere to physically attach them to.

I think you either need to have an in at USD or get lucky and find an old set on eBay or somewhere. Your best bet is trying to find a similar soul plate and bodging that on. Or even just buying the right type of plastic and making your own soul plates.
They don't have to be perfect they just have to raise the original soul up so it doesn't wear down anymore. Good luck.

How can anyone find a USD Legacy soles? They haven't made those skates in over 10 years!!! That is not realistic for everyone else.
This I'd something I had laying around. You can use a piece of cutting board or even cut a piece of some usd carbon souls.. there plenty of plastic stuff out there.. this is just an example.

Go on eBay and buy a sheet of plastic. You can even get small sheets of oil impregnated self lubricating nylon for dirt cheap (including international shipping). Buy some countersink drill bits, a few sweet countersunk torx screws, a few tee nuts. You could make some stock-ish looking sliders with a few basic hand tools.

In my oppinion the Best aggressiv skates right now
I wear a 47 sometimes and they work for me, especially the XIX soft top Aeon shown here. I'd say try the 45/46 with a MyFit that comes larger.

Cara eu uso AEON eu andava de Remz, tive que reaprender a fazer todas as manobras de Top, por ele ter a base alta fica bem complicado, hoje tá melhor, mas nem sem compara com o Remz, porém o USD achei bem confortável, só machuca meu pé quando fico 4 horas patinando direto, no osso do tornozelo na parte de dentro. Mas o patins é bem legal de andar.
