This was a wonderful production at the Piccola Scala. It was such a treat to hear the great Luigi Alva live! The whole cast was splendid. Truly unforgettable. Thanks so much for posting this!!
Wonderful!!! and Bravissimo!!! Carissimo Maestro *LUIGI ALVA*!!! sing this time in andante and also in tessitura somewhat low for your rope of "Tenore di grazia" however with a beautiful expressiveness the most beautiful performance by the transport us to that Romantic era!!! Many thanks *Dear VivaTenors*!!! for this Beautiful continuity!!!
There were so many operas written during the 17th and 18th century that so many folks will unfortunately never hear. Composere like Conti, Vinci, Cavalli, Hasse, Charpentier, Scarlatti, Mayr, Steffani and so many, many, many others. The melodies and singing are elegant and superb if the singer(s) have the talent to interpret them. The American tenor now singing Michael Spyres is a superb singer and interpreter of this music, has a range of at least 3 octaves and could be right up there during any "Golden Age".
Luis Alva, maravilloso tenor ligero, el mejor del mundo de los años 50 y 60 . Timbre bellísimo, único.
Great sensitivity and elegance. Thank you.
Bravo maestro Alva!
