There were so many operas written during the 17th and 18th century that so many folks will unfortunately never hear. Composere like Conti, Vinci, Cavalli, Hasse, Charpentier, Scarlatti, Mayr, Steffani and so many, many, many others. The melodies and singing are elegant and superb if the singer(s) have the talent to interpret them. The American tenor now singing Michael Spyres is a superb singer and interpreter of this music, has a range of at least 3 octaves and could be right up there during any "Golden Age".

Search for Spyres singing, by Latilla, 'Siroe, re de Persia' Act 1 aria, ''O mio paterno...'
