Vive a Barlassina vicino Milano.
salute to you, meastro Alva, one of the finest lyrical tenors all times perfect technique, and beautifull sound, the best of the best, bravisimi you are my hero
Bravissimo maestro!!!! Alva was (and still he is, even if he is over 80, he keeps that fresh and charming voice!!!!) one of the best of the best of all times in this repertoire.Bravoo maestro!!!!!
Great Luis Alva Talledo. He is a Peruvian and si his name is in Spanish. Italians translated his name. BTW. Spanish speaking countries use the mothers maiden surname. Talledo is for his mom
@TheVerdiBaritone Can you explain what you mean by that? I mean, I understand what mixed voice is, but not how this relates to modern methods for tenors - being a girl.
Although Mr Alva does use a bit of dynamics here in piano and forte, there really is very little difference between the two and he certainly does not have that flowing legato line that is essential for singing Mozart. I loved him in Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini roles, but this leaves a lot to be desired. Compare this with Simoneau and hear the vast difference between the two, but to hear perfection in this aria listen to Ramon Vargas in the latest Met HD production.
Greatest Don Ottavio of all times.
Strepitoso davvero.
Absolutely the best. simply superb 💐💐💐
gorgeous! superb breath control with his smooth pianissimo passages. He was as great as they come.

So amazing love everything about this performance , how beautiful and what a great legato and finessa, thank you !! BRAVO!!!
Greatest Don Ottavio!
His impeccable posture does that with the old camera work, lol! Alva always held his shoulders back and kept his lower body out of the way.
Such fabulous musicianship. Extremely sensitive singing, careful attention to dynamics, and a sure command of the Mozart style.
The good old days from the Festival of Aix-en-Provence.
Thank you
OMG! Thanks so much for posting. The finest Bel Canto Tenor of all time!
Fabuloso... Me gustaría conocerlo.. Gracias por estas bellezas musicales...

@1:54 i thought that Maestro Luigi Alva was missing a leg.
The best "dalla sua pace" i've heard so far, this was singing.
What a voice! What a performance!
My favorite anytime, anywhere forever
Wonderful Peruvian tenor.
Is it "Peruvian tenor" a fach?
Bellísima interpretación.
How elegant!
Sublime!
Fue un gran tenor ligero , exquisito.
Por si acaso, aun no está muerto.
il miglior Don Ottavio
Divino.
Cosimo De Martino

The best technik
Perfect.....
very nice.
Excellent! Much more "mixed voice" than most, and more than many are willing to accept today.
no itlaian baroquirisms in the interpretation :::::: beautiful

boring aria. very well done. best I´ve heard.
Truth is rare!

Really? How did you know that?I didn't read the news anywhere, and I searched with attention.
Glabrezzu: I believe you meant the great Spanish tenor Pedro Lavirgen

Andre de Kock I disagree, I find his line far more legato, but less silvery than Vargas. I compared as you suggested.
PONER COMENTARIO
Excellent technique, but I found it rather uninteresting. It lacks vitality.
One of the most whiny and annoying of Mozart's arias. And I think it was intentional.
Whiny, but gorgeous!
@@drcajus True.
Mediocre. Fantastic: József Réti!
Imbécil.
