The only reason I'm skeptical about Richards winning is that Dr. Manhattan has literally never actually shown to try and beat someone. He has always just erased anybody that stood in his way, he has never actually fought seriously.

I don't know. When we get to such high power levels it is hard to tell who is more powerful. I think the battle between them might never end. Franklin could create new universes, but Manhattan can alter the timeline within them. Manhattan's best bet is to go back and prevent Franklin's birth. The real question is if Manhattan is immune to Franklin's reality warping. Manhattan has demonstrated the ability to reform himself after complete disintegration after all. I think the battle goes on forever, literally.
I remember in a comic it's said doctor manhatten is still tied to his human emotions and doesn't completely understand the full extent of his godly power because he lacks the knowledge and that's why he is constantly experimenting with them.
If Manhattan was born before Richards, he could prevent Richard's birth or Reed's/Sue's birth, etc. Same goes for Richards. The one born later couldn't prevent it otherwise they would cause a time paradox.

The fact that a 5th dimensional being is afraid of Dr. Manhattan pretty much makes him stronger due to the implications of such a thing, however his powers are inconsistent and that's a highball. If he could only destroy 60% of Russia's nukes he's pretty low powered and fodder compared to Franklin Richards.

This is quite a toss up both their power levels can't be measured definitively due to their lack of frequent appearances using specific plot mechanism doesn't tell the whole story in order to come to a conclusion. Same holds true for Mr. Mxyzptlk "fearing" Dr. Manhattan which is solely a plot development scheme. Lucifer/Michael/The Presence would all easily one shot manhattan, he's nowhere even remotely close to their power. In terms of franklin richards vs. Dr. Manhattan, it's close but I think franklin would win. He is capable of just about everything Dr. Manhattan is and then some. His power nullification, his powers protecting him reflexively and his ability to control the laws of reality would likely be more than Dr. Manhattan could handle. He's got better reaction time than franklin but since franklin has precognition that basically cancels it out anyway. Franklin wins mid/high difficulty.

Dr manhattan was created when his body was destroyed but his soul which was tethered to reality didnt detach itself. So he remained in reality and learnt fundamental forces of nature. In short He is just a soul who was left in this world. And franklin cannot destroy soul. I'd say, you can get a weakest character from anime, dc or marvel, if anyone of them, has the feats of functioning as a soul, and can destroy soul, it can destroy both of them.

Franklin loses this because he's still alive and in general cares about people. Manhattan doesn't share his same level of care, in fact, his _care_ for humanity is warped. Franklin may be more powerful, but I don't think he's as dangerous in a fight. While Franklin is doing some absurdly awesome & flashy with his powers, Manhattan could just change the composition of a molecule to send out a spectrum of light that only effects human and causes him to have a seizure. Manhattan is also was an actual scientist and his powers can be somewhat explained. Franklin's powers are just, "poof I can do anything because I'm awesome!". When it comes to these kinds of power levels, typically the power that you can base in some kind of science will win out. The only option Franklin can counter with is that he's an older character in design and has had more appearances and so-called feats. Anyways Great video!

Dr. Manhattan simply alters the timeline so that Reed and Sue never meet, or go on the test flight where they received their powers, and Franklin is either never born or is born but not from super-powered parents. Easiest way to win is not to have to fight at all.

I'm not sure any analysis of Dr. Manhattan can be entirely accurate. He has insinuated that he can do many other things than we've seen him do such as create life. Franklin Richards powers are very well documented but Dr. Manhattan's just aren't , what Danco did was work with what he had but that leaves a lot of room for error and assumption. I'm not ready to hand a victory to one or the other until I see more feats from Manhattan.

Two points I have to point out. First: Dr. Manhattan powers and feats are unknown on how powerfull he is and will be. Second: a 5th dimensional imp name Mister Mxyzptlk doesn't even want any from Dr. Manhattan. Franklin is very powerfull but he has limits reaching his (peak). Where as Dr. Manhattan has only shown us the tip of the iceberg and really in my opinion he really restrains how strong he is.

Oh man had this convo so many times - it’s hard for DC fans to understand but this is a Franklin Stomp. There are real moments in the Hickman run that visually explain that Franklin is God. The stomp comes from the origins of both Franklin and Manhattan - Manhattan was human - his powers were gained. Franklin was born with his powers. He’s written as a universal constant meaning his existence exists if the universe exists. The fight simply goes like this - Manhattan - “You no longer exist” Franklin - “You never existed.” And Franklin’s powers remove any human timeline of Manhattan meaning Manhattan gets erased as never having gained his powers. Franklin’s powers are constant Manhattan trying to just remove him would do nothing. Franklin stomps this fight - he is not “god tier” he is legitimately God.

As far as the battle goes, I think it is hard to say who is more powerful (if you replaced Franklin with Molecule Man, it would be more clear). Currently the best I know of from Franklin is taking on Celestials while Manhattan has thru a blanket over the eyes of the entire DC universe. I think I would give it to Manhattan because of a change that was made in him. In Watchmen he was powerful but I would have thought him to be dropped by Surfer like nothing (he was essentially a modified Captain Atom who he was based on) but in DC rebirth, they made him 100x more powerful and made him whatever they needed him to be. He stopped a White Latern. He is now a plot device which means he has no limit. I hate this version of him though. Also Manhattan thinks more like a computer than a man while Franklin seems to still have emotions and thinks more like a brilliant human.

@@poweredbygarri1 Yes they are, and a lot of them are under utilized or uknown to know the fullest of their powers or they are insanely overpowered that pitting them together will take a lot of assumptions. I try to make match ups of characters that might get DanCo's attention because there are several connections people can draw from both characters. Sometimes, he doesn't even use comic book characters in his match ups to make a battle analysis. You have to clarify more about what you mean about being creative. Being creative doesn't mean pitting two characters because you want to, even if the match doesn't make sense. And to answer your question. Let's say New 52 Superman and regular Spawn ( I leave that part of for any who thinks which version would be the most appropriate version for the fight).
Dan only chooses his battles. The battles you listed wont get his approach. Meaning, use more marvel characters. Lol. The version matters. Different version, different ideology and different psyche/ poweset. Knowledge of character and the hierarchy of power are essential tools on designing a noticeable battle. Superman vs h weapon. New 52 is vastly stronger than injustice superman. Injustice strength base is higher than h weapons. Durability is drastically higher also. Yeah, superman is overkill for most versions of hulk. If it strong or stronger version of spawn would win will most likely win
Franklin Richards is impressive, without a doubt. I have to go to motivation, though. What motivation would either of these characters have to come into conflict? At this level, I see Franklin as being highly motivated to protect his family, whereas Manhattan is largely indifferent to the concerns of all humanity. So Franklin for the win, although it would be a matter of a shoulder shrug. "Eh, so what," as Dr. M wanders off into the universe.:)

As said before, it's too early to declare whether Manhattan is more or less powerful than Franklin Richards, Franklin, though a reality wrapper, has not been shown to create something out of nothing. He has to manipulate what is already in existence. Creating alternate universes/timelines is at the upper limit of what he can do. It's not been shown whether Manhattan can create alternate/pocket universes. We need to wait and see. For all we know all these alternate timelines in DC might actually be the result of Manhattan's tinkering .... not just the New 52 timeline.
I'd had a long-standing theory that Franklin is TOAA, in disguise (maybe even on a 'unconcious' level, literally enjoying every kid's fantasies come to life as a kid himself), though I could admittedly be completely wrong. Whether he is or not, though, doesn't change the fact that he's going to win. Dr. Manhattan, while I love him, has never been shown to be able to create entire universes, he very well may be able to, but we've never seen that, only him tinkering with the 'clockwork' of various universes/timelines.
Why can't they finish the damn Doomsday Clock already. They've finished like 5 different major crossover stories since Doomsday Clock started.
Its because DC had no clue where their story was headed so they decided to stretch it out so they can get their shit together. And by making it a monthly series, it has gotten a lot better.

I don't know. When we get to such high power levels it is hard to tell who is more powerful. I think the battle between them might never end. Franklin could create new universes, but Manhattan can alter the timeline within them. Manhattan's best bet is to go back and prevent Franklin's birth. The real question is if Manhattan is immune to Franklin's reality warping. Manhattan has demonstrated the ability to reform himself after complete disintegration after all. I think the battle goes on forever, literally.

I remember in a comic it's said doctor manhatten is still tied to his human emotions and doesn't completely understand the full extent of his godly power because he lacks the knowledge and that's why he is constantly experimenting with them.
If Manhattan was born before Richards, he could prevent Richard's birth or Reed's/Sue's birth, etc. Same goes for Richards. The one born later couldn't prevent it otherwise they would cause a time paradox.

This is quite a toss up both their power levels can't be measured definitively due to their lack of frequent appearances using specific plot mechanism doesn't tell the whole story in order to come to a conclusion. Same holds true for Mr. Mxyzptlk "fearing" Dr. Manhattan which is solely a plot development scheme. Mxy has displayed world scattering feats all the same and can easily be placed in this conversation which goes without saying in fact one can argue Mxy can bring down Manhattan without breaking a sweat such as reverting him to his humanoid self since Manhattan came into power rather than being born into it which make his abilities a "by product" what was given can be taken.

Lucifer/Michael/The Presence would all easily one shot manhattan, he's nowhere even remotely close to their power. In terms of franklin richards vs. Dr. Manhattan, it's close but I think franklin would win. He is capable of just about everything Dr. Manhattan is and then some. His power nullification, his powers protecting him reflexively and his ability to control the laws of reality would likely be more than Dr. Manhattan could handle. He's got better reaction time than franklin but since franklin has precognition that basically cancels it out anyway. Franklin wins mid/high difficulty.

Franklin loses this because he's still alive and in general cares about people. Manhattan doesn't share his same level of care, in fact, his _care_ for humanity is warped. Franklin may be more powerful, but I don't think he's as dangerous in a fight. While Franklin is doing some absurdly awesome & flashy with his powers, Manhattan could just change the composition of a molecule to send out a spectrum of light that only effects human and causes him to have a seizure. Manhattan is also was an actual scientist and his powers can be somewhat explained. Franklin's powers are just, "poof I can do anything because I'm awesome!". When it comes to these kinds of power levels, typically the power that you can base in some kind of science will win out. The only option Franklin can counter with is that he's an older character in design and has had more appearances and so-called feats.

I'm not sure any analysis of Dr. Manhattan can be entirely accurate. He has insinuated that he can do many other things than we've seen him do such as create life. Franklin Richards powers are very well documented but Dr. Manhattan's just aren't , what Danco did was work with what he had but that leaves a lot of room for error and assumption. I'm not ready to hand a victory to one or the other until I see more feats from Manhattan.

Two points I have to point out.
First: Dr. Manhattan powers and feats are unknown on how powerfull he is and will be.
Second: a 5th dimensional imp name Mister Mxyzptlk doesn't even want any from Dr. Manhattan.
Franklin is very powerfull but he has limits reaching his (peak). Where as Dr. Manhattan has only shown us the tip of the iceberg and really in my opinion he really restrains how strong he is.

Oh man had this convo so many times - it’s hard for DC fans to understand but this is a Franklin Stomp. There are real moments in the Hickman run that visually explain that Franklin is God.
The stomp comes from the origins of both Franklin and Manhattan -
Manhattan was human - his powers were gained.
Franklin was born with his powers. He’s written as a universal constant meaning his existence exists if the universe exists.
The fight simply goes like this -
Manhattan - “You no longer exist”
Franklin - “You never existed.”
And Franklin’s powers remove any human timeline of Manhattan meaning Manhattan gets erased as never having gained his powers. Franklin’s powers are constant Manhattan trying to just remove him would do nothing.
Franklin stomps this fight - he is not “god tier” he is legitimately God.
You really don't understand how powerful Manhattan really is.. It's pretty clear you aren't caught up on Doomsday clock and DC Rebirth. Manhattan has feats that makes Franklin Richard resurrecting galactus and defeating the celestial look like child play. Manhattan is ridiculously op and has one shotted heavy hitters in DC.. So read the comics before claiming a winner. DanCo is a marvel fanboy, He made a video before this one on ten heroes who can beat Manhattan, which was a ridiculous list, and got more dislikes then likes. Ceaser A - you have no idea how ridiculous Franklin is, Franklin himself doesn’t even know how powerful he is, and it’s all irrelevant because of time, and how they got their powers.
But when you say heavy hitters - Franklin as a child, casually creates EVERY MARVEL HERO in their full form in an alternate universe. Meaning he literally as will creates the entire capacity of every marvel hero whose power scaling is far beyond standard DC. Then at a whim he destroys it all. He’s seen outliving time, the multiverse, and then recreating it all before Galactus to start again.
What you don’t get is Franklin is god, he can go back before Manhattan obtained his powers and just blip him from existence - you can’t do that to Franklin because his a constant. Manhattan has been said to be afraid of normal Superman let alone Thought Robot whose the only being shown to exist in control outside of the multiverse in Limbo. Not even Manhattan has been shown to break out of the multiverse itself and enter Limbo.
Franklin - CASUALLY - rips open space and time to rip his Grandfather out of Limbo, hold him in pure fear of being destroyed in Limbo - sits down and CASUALLY explains to his grandfather that “Reality and all things is what I make it.” Explaining to his grandfather he IS God.
Franklin’s feats aren’t in whom he’s “blipped” but his greatest feats are in his Casual control of the Marvel multiverse, Limbo, time, space, etc.
When he talks to Black Bolt he says “look at me, closely.” And you can see that in that moment Franklin shows Black Bolt that he is God.
Try to understand this from a different perspective it Franklin as a child created the mirror universe and everyone, every celestial, that universes constants eternity and infinite were all created by Franklin - then Franklin is God of his pocket universe, he is above all of those beings, and then at whim he casually destroys that universe from space and time. Feats far far far far beyond anything Manhattan has ACTUALLY been shown doing.
Scarlet witch asked child Franklin how powerful he truly was if she attacked him, and he said his powers without his will would kill her for him in yoctoseconds, or faster to an immeasurable point. Meaning his powers innately if Manhattan even flinched a thought would dismantle Manhattan for Franklin.

Because someone said the same exact thing to Manhattan, Reverse flash, trying to get manhattan out of the button, told him that he can feel his presence, and told him that he could cannot be killed, or erased, because as you just mentioned, he is a constant in a sea of endless possibility and will always reappear. When manhattan revealed himself, he pleaded for mercy, saying he did not know who he was, and didn’t begging and pleading saying that he didn’t want to die. His last words was “god”. As far as the battle goes, I think it is hard to say who is more powerful (if you replaced Franklin with Molecule Man, it would be more clear). Currently the best I know of from Franklin is taking on Celestials while Manhattan has thru a blanket over the eyes of the entire DC universe. I think I would give it to Manhattan because of a change that was made in him. In Watchmen he was powerful but I would have thought him to be dropped by Surfer like nothing (he was essentially a modified Captain Atom who he was based on) but in DC rebirth, they made him 100x more powerful and made him whatever they needed him to be. He stopped a White Latern. He is now a plot device which means he has no limit. I hate this version of him though. Also Manhattan thinks more like a computer than a man while Franklin seems to still have emotions and thinks more like a brilliant human.

@@poweredbygarri1 Yes they are, and a lot of them are under utilized or uknown to know the fullest of their powers or they are insanely overpowered that pitting them together will take a lot of assumptions.
I try to make match ups of characters that might get DanCo's attention because there are several connections people can draw from both characters. Sometimes, he doesn't even use comic book characters in his match ups to make a battle analysis. You have to clarify more about what you mean about being creative. Being creative doesn't mean pitting two characters because you want to, even if the match doesn't make sense.
And to answer your question. Let's say New 52 Superman and regular Spawn ( I leave that part of for any who thinks which version would be the most appropriate version for the fight).
Dan only chooses his battles. The battles you listed wont get his approach. Meaning, use more marvel characters. Lol.
The version matters. Different version, different ideology and different psyche/ poweset. Knowledge of character and the hierarchy of power are essential tools on designing a noticeable battle.

Franklin Richards is impressive, without a doubt. I have to go to motivation, though. What motivation would either of these characters have to come into conflict?
At this level, I see Franklin as being highly motivated to protect his family, whereas Manhattan is largely indifferent to the concerns of all humanity.
So Franklin for the win, although it would be a matter of a shoulder shrug. "Eh, so what," as Dr. M wanders off into the universe.:)

As said before, it's too early to declare whether Manhattan is more or less powerful than Franklin Richards, Franklin, though a reality wrapper, has not been shown to create something out of nothing. He has to manipulate what is already in existence. Creating alternate universes/timelines is at the upper limit of what he can do. It's not been shown whether Manhattan can create alternate/pocket universes. We need to wait and see. For all we know all these alternate timelines in DC might actually be the result of Manhattan's tinkering .... not just the New 52 timeline.

I'd had a long-standing theory that Franklin is TOAA, in disguise (maybe even on a 'unconcious' level, literally enjoying every kid's fantasies come to life as a kid himself), though I could admittedly be completely wrong. Whether he is or not, though, doesn't change the fact that he's going to win. Dr. Manhattan, while I love him, has never been shown to be able to create entire universes, he very well may be able to, but we've never seen that, only him tinkering with the 'clockwork' of various universes/timelines.
Doctor Manhattan is more powerful. So I'm going with Doctor Manhattan.
