The thing you’re not mentioning though is that he specifically asked legion what it was that he wanted to be judged on. His didn’t ask anyone else. And even when he gave legion the thumbs up Legion basically told him to “Fk off”

Franklin needed the power of his younger self and resurrected Galactus to take on a few Mad Celestials but the most powerful Celestial couldn’t even judge Legion. I feel like this is a mismatch. Franklin can manipulate anything in the multiverse, Legion can manipulate the multiverse.

Progenitor was just a random celestial that caught parasites and died on a random rock, he's responsible for the uniqueness of earth but that's it, no reason to call him the most powerful celestial but legion definitely stomps from what I've seen in this video
That was just bad writing characters power varys. Much lower tier characters have best celestials. Franklin should have neg diffed them. I'm not even saying Franklin win idk enough about legion but Franklin struggling with the mad celestials never made sense, was just a plot device.

David is VERY powerful but he has to convince the other personalities to allow him access to THIER powers....yes, the powers David uses are not actually his they belong to the other personalities he either creates or absorbs into his psyche, David has over time built a colossal mental prison for the personalities he can't trust, are completely EVIL, or too destructive to be allowed to influence his behavior. But there are good personalities that David lets live free productive lives within his mindscape and a THOUSAND personalities is being conservative by this point David probably has personalities in the TENS OF THOUSANDS
@@Vamroc that's where you're wrong. Every power in David's psyche is him own. Which is why he can get his power back without their permission. Yes it's attached to a personality but that's because ince he has DID and is an omega level mutant who gives himself powers, whenever he gives himself a power be it randomly or purposely, he then makes a personality for that power. His power is to give himself powers, not to make personalities with powers.

depends on thier mental state. bear in min that for MOST of his history, Legion had some serious MPD to contend with, and couldn't use all his power at once.(point in fact, the Xmen have pretty much ALL been getting some rather ridiculous power creep in recent years) Franklin has never had that problem... but let's say they both have full control, with no editor-created "oh no, my power is leaking" or "i can't focus because i'm craaaaaazy". Legion DOES have more direct experience in psionics...so he COULD theoretically get in a mental sucker punch. But if Franklin can repel mental assaults form multiple celestials, i wouldn't bank on that. anything other than that, Franklin can alter reality on a MUCH larger scale. Legion's reality-altering cosntructs have, in canon, generally been makeshift and temporarty things.

His greatest feat was probably taking out Mephisto (Or creating the Heroes Reborn reality .). He’s not up there with other reality warpers like say, Mad Jim Jaspers.

JobbersAndGoons you forgot to mention that Prof X said legion was the most powerful mutant alive and that his power dwarfs any one individuals power. And also that the circumstances in which he lives in daily would be unbearable for anyone, so the fact that Legion can do what he does while having his disorder basically shouldn’t be possible. This was in Legion of X #10

Franklin is stronger, but the concept of Legion- being power generation, if written well (like Si Spurrier does), could be like the ultimate plot armour... the creativity of the writer can introduce powers to negate any threat. And, he has built in fallibility too, with his fractured psyche, so you don't have to create unbelievable ultimate power mutants like bendis did... (the beyonder mutant, matthew molloy or miranda)
I don’t much about Legion, but it does get me to wonder: if Legion’s vast powers are derived from all the multiple personalities, then how much is he really in control of his own powers? If every personality has their own individual consciousness, personality, and morality, then how much can we really say Legion can control them and use these powers at will??
He's like Darwin I think, just does what he needs/wants in the moment.

one thing people forget about Legion is that his mutant ability is "Spontaneous Mutations" this is his Mutant ability. This allows him to create or manifest new Abilities all the time in which one of the thousands of Personalities takes over this New Ability.

With these characters being this overpowered, they won't have any adversity because of their power.
Who could they lose to that will make sense?
Plus everybody in the marvel universe is rendered useless and if they ever get into a jam they could just call up Franklin or Legion.
Truth be told these two characters just seemed like a clever plot device for the writers to reboot whatever series they want to.

if you eliminate the writers, then it would be a stale mate… only because if one starts to lose then can retreat to an alternate space and/or time. legion had trouble harming nate grey… franklin had trouble with celestials… so its left to the imagination.

Depends on their mental state.. legion often lost control of his power or not able to use his full power due to his disabilities, Franklin dont have to deal with that issues so he can manipulate and travel multiverse while avoiding legions rampage and wait for legions brain mulfanction and be vulnirable and he can use that opportunity to shut him down..

I definitely enjoyed your video, no question, but I've gotta be perfectly honest, I do feel tha you're biased, you spent three quarters of the vid detailing about legion, and when it came to franklin, you just mentioned some stuff with disinterest in your voice tone, I mean, truly, if you don't believe me, just run your own vid and let me know if I'm misinterpreting what I heard (I did watvh it twice to be sure), all in all a good vid, but by about two thirds of it, the disparity in details made it obvious who was your guy

You clearly don't know how strong Legion really is. Nate took over a Legion that was just having a mental breakdown not long before that. So if you don't know Legion is ALWAYS fighting his personalities inside of himself, so he's never fighting a real 1v1. But if he was to merge with all of his personalities/powers as he's done only 1 time then Nate would stand no chance. But also Legion already stated that he could easily transcend his mortal body but he doesn't want to. Because he wants his fathers love smh

Legion was equally as powerful as Uranus, but Uranus was created by Celestials, and Franklin was on the same level with Celestials. So imho, Franklin still scales higher than David (Legion)!

no you have to remember that Legion unlike most characters is never at 100%....when he's at 100% that's when he absorbs all of his powers/personalities back into himself, making him a guy with billions of powers with more than a thousand of those being omega level. So just imagine is Jean could only use 1 power at a time, that's how Legion always is, unless the personality he's drawing power from has more than 1, or unless he's just using his main abillities that he have. But in reality all of these powers are his, so just imagine is he could use all of them without being handicapped....the only time we've ever seen him at that level is when he rewrote himself from reality. He he underrated but also his power is incredibly misunderstood
@@lou98t I agree that Legion is not “explored” enough in terms of the powers he’s having, and it’s really difficult, even impossible, to do so, considering he has numerous personalities with different power sets, but I still think even at his peak he’s not stronger than Franklin. Franklin was destined to be the last one survives the collapse of this cosmos and to start a new one. Adult Franklin can builds multiverses not just universes like young Franklin. When he was a mutant, Galactus has stated that Franklin was the strongest mutant in history of Earth 616.
