You're looking much healthier now mate, so based on that alone I'd say you've made the right choice. YT really can be a brutal grind and it's certainly not for everyone, so good on you for recognizing that and making the necessary changes, I know it can't have been easy. Good luck with the new job and I hope we can still catch up from time to time and play some Fortnite :D

@@bigturkey1 Its amazing how you came here to show the toxic-immaturity that more than likely helped lead to poor Timmy's breakdown/exiting the platform, just in case ppl didn't understand how damned awful it can get (like coming to a video discussing someone's mental health and future plans to rant about immature fanboy bullshit that not one mature person gives a solitary fuck about). If anyone didn't understand how disgusting ppl here can be you sure helped illustrate that. Nice...

Did UA-cam full time Dec 2020-Mar 2021. Working alone and constantly churning out UA-cam content during the shortage burnt me out, so I silently stopped uploading in early April and looked for a full time job. I was scared and saddened to tell people too so I just let it be.
I started work in June and I love it. Just like you said - the benefits, consistent schedule, steady paycheck, and working with other people are fabulous. These are all things I lacked with full time UA-cam. I realized that I enjoy making content, but making it my means of living sucks out the fun. I just do it as a side hobby now, almost like when I first started. Much better for me.
It’s a hard decision to let go of something you’ve put so many hours in, but at the end of the day it’s the right choice sometimes. I needed the 5 month break to recoup & clear my head.
I’m so glad to hear you’re doing well TJ! ♥️ Thanks for sharing your story

I can totally relate, that must have been a tough decision, I hope you are doing better now. For me, it was not so much about the pandemic, I had family reasons that pushed me out of the content creation-- turned out despite hard times, it was just healthy to get out of this UA-cam "loop". It's hard when you're doing it all on your own and trying to make something professional out of it, difficult to keep it healthy, you keep pushing yourself and end up sacrificing way too much without even realizing. I feel EXACTLY the same about ads, I hated doing them and felt they ruined my videos-- especially considering smaller channels mostly gets offers from crappy sponsors you don't really feel proud of making ads for. It's tough, because you have to make the channel profitable, so you start looking around and feel like you should do like others, but not everyone can feel good about this. It's forced, it feels bad, it sucks, I mostly turned these crap sponsors away, rather keep my pride than try to sell stuff I don't believe in. I feel the same about doing content on the same/similar parts-- once it's done, it's done! Having to refresh just because UA-cam needs constant uploads is ridiculous. If you can continue motivated on that, yeap, more power to you, but I can't, I think it's stupid. I think YT content creation is still going to drive a lot of people insane, sometimes a FORCED BREAK is the only way for you to see how much better off you are. My best wishes, hopefully there will be some random crap here every once in a while!

@@twizz420 Lmfao. Wow dude, way to misinterpret everything I said. I genuinely have no words. Not even my entertainment. My entertainment comes from TV series, movies, and my plants. Not so much TJ. What I was implying was in the future after getting things taken care of, that maybe we'd still hear from him from time to time to see that he's doing okay. Some of us in the community care more than just the videos. Hence why I said the videos I did, because they're funny, lighthearted videos that are more personable than the ones that take forever to produce and put together. Streaming is not the same as making videos. Being able to talk with somebody while doing something, is not the same as creating a video with a set topic that requires lots of time, money, and effort.
But hey, what should I expect in the age of offeded dipshits. This isn't a "YOU ARE MY ENTERTAINER HOW DARE YOU TRY TO LEAVE FOR THE BETTERMENT OF YOURSELF, YOU NEED TO ENTERTAIN ME MORE!!" you waste of resources. Stop reading into things more than what's actually there. All that was implied was that I hope he doesn't disappear from the community entirely because lots of us genuinely care about the dude and would like to know from time to time how he's holding up.
Go crawl back under the rock you came out of.

I was concerned the first time your videos slowed down and when you explained your medical issue you were dealing with. The second time, I honestly felt like if you weren't making videos, it was for your own good. As someone I like I was glad whether you were making a video or not, because I felt like you were doing it or not based on your needs and not someone else's or some feeling of obligation. You look great now, andd I'm very glad you are happier. you are very wise to think more about long-term goals and issues over short-term possible (if only thinly possible) gains, and I know that as someone notably older than you are I wish I had done the same by your age. Keep making yourself healthier. If making more videos becomes something you end up wanting to do again, I know I for one will be here to watch. He saw he was not making enough money, stressed out, had medical episode and then decided to just get a job. That's not maturing my friend, its common sense. He ain't 4.

Hey bud, you do what is best for YOU and YOUR family. I am sad I will no longer receive your content anymore as I really enjoyed your character and person spin on things but I can TOTALLY understand your reasons! I started my channel when things were "good" in mid 2019 under the same kind of niche your channel identified as, to appeal to the budget side of tech. That obviously is insanely hard to do anymore these days even more now as a small channel that doesn't have the big contracts to keep it running, as you mentioned. Keep doing YOU man and what you need to do to create the best life for you and your family. I'll always stay subscribed for the chance to catch your next video drop when ever you decide to make one AND you having done so stress free!. Best wishes brother!

I’m glad your leaving your pc content up because it’s awesome and definitely useful and informative forever. It sucks all this bs in the economy happened right after you made a big move to go bigger on UA-cam and it’s clearly something that made way more stress on you as well. Everything you have done is completely understandable and nobody should have an issue with it.

Its really sad to see you go. I loved watching your videos and it inspired me to start up my own computer business and completely change my current career path from welding to computers. You along with other youtubers videos helped me learn, and understand much of the things I needed to know to get started in this new field. I do understand where your coming from, and your doing what you think is best for you as you should. I do hope one day to see you make a comeback on youtube, and I genuinely wish you the best of luck Timmy Joe!

Well - it's still a lot of fun to watch your videos and I can totally understand your decision. Like I like to do a video every couple of months but I don't really have time for that next to a full-time job, a side job, being a volunteer firefighter and having a family and hobbies. There's just a limited time. And with my hobbies: Computers are one of them, actually guitars are another one and cameras are my third big hobby. And I feel the same thing with the interests changing from time to time. I wish you all the best and hope to see a video from you every now and then but without any pressure.

I recently had one myself - I thankfully wasn't sick but It's caused me panic attacks and general anxiety everyday since - the reaction I had was massive panic attack, seeing and hearing things that weren't there. This was after I watched your video - I probably should've also been more careful. Much love man and I hope the new job and life changes works out for the best - take care.

I wanted to let you know you and Dawid Does Tech Stuff are my two FAVORITE tech UA-camrs. I will miss your videos very much, but like everyone else I am very glad you are doing better in life and moving on to greener pastures. It really is unfortunate that COVID happened and was a huge contributing factor in the chip and GPU shortages. I will always remember your videos fondly. I felt so lucky when I found your videos. They were SOOO entertaining. You had a unique take and I felt like you were man of the people and shared our feelings. I will miss your channel dearly, especially since I only found your channel maybe 6 months ago. Today I did check you channel after you said you had over 800 videos and thankfully I had a backlog to watch that somehow I had no clue about. I am definitely going to go back and watch the ones I missed. In my eyes you accomplished what you set out to do, become UA-cam Famous. Thanks for all the AMAZING content you put out. Good luck, Timmy Joe.

Hi Timmy. I just wanted to say thank you for your different approach in PC tech for the time you did it. Very humorous and very informative, not to mention entertaining. It's funny that you and I seem to hit these milestones around the same time. The first when you mentioned being depressed with how things are now in the PC world, so you stopped uploading. I did the same thing around that same time. And then this announcement video was at the tip of me doing my own, but in a different way. I'm taking a break to revamp my channel. Not doing PC tech anymore but back to what I used to do, which is tech products. But I'm taking a break from it until I feel like I am mentally and financially able to do so. I lost my job this past April, so there went my funds for new tech! But enough about me, I'm going to miss your content. Glad you're doing what's right for you.
