    • @issambres
      @issambres 4 місяці тому +1

      @@fysalides1 it is very expensive… but very good. The worst part is that you will resell with 40% less after a year if it is in good condition ( like other Dacron kites ). So for people who can’t afford yet, their are already good aluula used kites out there that you can find with more than 50% discount of retail price 😉

    • @Sam.constable
      @Sam.constable 4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah it’s expensive but so are international flights or heaps of other things that we spend on every year and only provide momentary enjoyment. When you work out the cost per session number, it’s actually super low. If you’re into sky diving or bungee jumping type thrills, that has a rediculous cost per session.
      Theres still some great Dacron/penta tx kites out there that give great performance so you don’t have to buy allula. But if you want that extra looping or low end performance to turn an average sub 20 knot session into an amazing progression session, then maybe allula is worth it to you.
      I see the same comment about price every time an allula model comes out. Allula is optional. Xr8 is still a great kite for a different range of conditions

    I have very mixed feelings by watching this video. I really love your content, don't get me wrong! A year and a half ago everyone was praising and hyping the XR PRO as the best kite in the world. Many of us went and bought the next big thing.. Now the Pace is the next big thing and all the XRs that we own are kites from the old times? I have 3 XR8s and 1 XR PRO that I bought 1.5 year ago and I feel outdated... Yes the PACE must be great for those who double loop. No beginner or intermediate kiter should feel the need of buying a €3000 allula kite. I have the feeling that CORE is killing it's own flaship(XR) and along with it my trust and loyalty to the brand. Somehow I feel like tricked into buying the hype of XR & XR PRO.

  • @Paule.kiteboarding
    @Paule.kiteboarding 4 місяці тому +10

    Hi Mike
    I feel like nobody ever talks about it but the landings are much more difficult than with the xr due to the higher aspect ratio. So looping is the easiest thing ever but the landing is quite tricky because the kite has to be flown in a wider radius around 12 to maintain a constant upwards pull. Most of the times when I was landing I got dropped quite hard and had to land with my knees mostly. The XR much loftier.
