Appreciate your concerns for this story...Sikhs have lost and sacrificed a lot not only in 1947 but also in 1984 and still doing the same. Those were the darkest days in the history of punjab. Many mothers lost their sons to these riots. Huge respect to you guys for doing this video. 🙏🏻

9:16 yes the small boy we see is the son of Gurdaas Maan ji and in 1984 he too is killed and Gurdaas Maan ji now cremate his son, earlier he cremated his mother/wife and now his son. And the girl we see is the grand daughter of Gurdaas Maan ji in the video.
In 47 he looses his mothe/wife and in 84 he looses his son.
So he passed on the Khanda that his wife/mother was wearing around her neck to his son and from him to his granddaughter.
He is the legend of punjabi industry 🙏

God I cried watching this, I generally don't talk on political issues but this breaks my heart as some people are still waiting for their family members for those gone missing in 1984, there is a widow colony in Delhi nearly a 300 widows lives there, their husbands were killed in that genocide...💔
There are many women and children in delhi who live with their relatives in Delhi as the fathers were killed by mobs.

It’s the story of Sikh family who suffered during Indian Pakistan division because it was only division of Punjab and Bangal.And then 1984,Sikh Genocide happened in their own country and Thousands of sikhs burnt alive by Indian Government.And Justice is not being delivered to those victims families even after 37 years.Cases are their in Supreme court of India from last 36 years and but still waiting for justice.It is clear that Indian Governments don’t want to give justice to Sikhs because they are Minority in India and constitutes only 1.7% of Indian population.

Colonialism has lasting effects, none too many positive. The boundaries and borders were designed largely by old white British guys who had never set foot on the Indian subcontinent. People are people, and the majority just want to live in peace with their neighbors.
This is an important piece of history that not very many Americans or Westerners in general know about.

9:15 you are right, the partition of India and Pakistan happened in 1947 and Pakistan supposed to be the Muslim majority state so people had to migrate due to this, Gurdas Maan is shown to suffer 47 and later 84, and the little sword that he pass on may be symbolic to the little dagger that baptised Sikhs wear like a gesture to continue fighting, and this video is directed by Gurik Maan his own son.
