At 75, I love what is now in my hands. I have photos, birth and death information, letters, greeting cards, newspaper clipping scrapbooks and more, dating back as far as the 1880s because my grandmother saved and my mom saved and I also save what documents life. I discovered an envelope full of beautiful sympathy cards I'd never seen that my mom kept after the loss of my identical twin. I'm so glad I have them. As I sort by decade and keep a spreadsheet of milestone happenings I'm grateful for feeling even closer to these women I've loved. I periodically declutter my household otherwise and understand that my children and grandchildren will have a different perspective, but for my life these heartfelt items are irreplaceable joy.
I tossed My Personal Diary that I wrote when I was around 13 or 14 years old. I tossed it when I was in my thirties, and I have regretted it several times since then and I am now in my 70s
😢 i’m decluttering for a man in mid 60’s . Using my iphone to take digital pictures of photos and then duplicating . Also many small items I can take pictures will be enough to exercise my memory . Fear of not remembering the past what I forgot as I get older .

We had a neighbor many years ago who was a profession artist who worked in oils. He wanted to repay my husband for helping him do some work around his house. Yes, I think in the Kon Mari method you can use many of your products on your body. I love vintage clothing and still regret decluttering a blouse that was so unique and worth a lot in reselling. I used to love that blouse. 😔
I wanted to let people know a thing I started doing before decluttering anything that has really been a helpful and useful thing for me. I first will go and research thoroughly “alternative uses for” any item that I want to declutter. You may find many uses that you didn’t know about for something. Additionally, I will also look up exactly how to use something if I don’t know. I decluttered a bench scraper (cooking/baking tool) I received as part of a kitchen basket gift, because I never used it. I honestly thought when I got rid of it, that it was just taking up space unnecessarily. I was shocked how useful it actually is when I accidentally came upon a video that showed how to use it. So now if I don’t know for sure, I will look up a tutorial on the object as well. One thing I definitely regret getting rid of is good quality denim (Jean jackets, shorts, jeans) from the 80s and 90s. Wish I still had a few items. No acid wash lol but the classic stuff.
Exactly! I use the old skin care on my body, especially feet! I’ve also used old perfumes and added alcohol as room fresheners. Also, it is refreshing to hear that we can keep more items and not be shamed into decluttering them. Thanks 🎉

For whatever reason, it was not opened until we got home. Hubby opened it and it had a box at the bottom with a bunch of jewelry. Yikes! Luckily we had their phone number! We called them at about the same time the wife was probably screaming at her husband because he was quite relieved to get our call. We didn’t go through the jewelry but I’m guessing it was all her good stuff. Um…..the guy was sure happy to see us the next day….😂

When you save letters, newspaper clippings, cards, etc. you never know who may be blessed by them one day. Several years ago my sister and I started to work on our family genealogy. I had an old beaded purse that belonged to my grandmother from the 1920s. In the purse were old pictures that looked to be from the mid 1800s. There were names on the back, but we had no idea who these people were. We decided to have our DNA done by Ancestry and my sister had a match to a woman in WA. She turns out to be a third cousin. She had an elderly aunt who had a shed where she kept a lot of things and she gave those things to our cousin. There were letters, news clippings, and pictures that our cousin was trying to figure out who these people were. It turns out that her 2nd great grandmother and our 2nd great grandmother were sisters and they had a brother. Her great grandmother married a man who decided to move from PA to CA during the gold rush. He took his family to San Francisco and then moved to Bellingham WA and became one of the original pioneers there. Our great grandmother was writing and sending family pictures to her sister and she in turn was sending pictures and letters to our great grandmother. There was a news clipping of the brother's trip to Wales in 1900 to visit their family still living there. Aunts, uncles, and cousins were all named in that article. This was an amazing find that connected the dots.
Super cool story. I also do genealogy and you just never know where something will turn up. Have had several cousins send me pictures of people that I was able to figure out (at least some) of the relatives.
@@sandracommager9367 One thing we did before our mother passed was to get my grandmother's photo album and try to figure out who some of these people were. One picture we had looked like it was taken in the early 1900s during a 4th of July celebration. My grandmother was from Frackville Pa and I bought one of the history books about the area. In it were pictures of the 1914 homecoming and it matched our album pictures.
Found out that Rebbeca Nurse is my 8th great Grandmother. She was hung as a witch in the 1600's. There are books about her and you can go thru her home and see her tombstone.
Oooh, I just went through this. I had waaaaaay too much body wash that I thought would go bad eventually. I actually, woke up in the middle of the night and thought duh…….use as hand soap too, duuuuh. It’s amazing what we don’t think of in the midst of a “ flurry” declutter.
OMG! Diaries! I was depressed and upset one day about my life and I burned, yes, actually burned my old diaries - I have regretted that so much over the years! Please keep the pictures - especially the old ones. You may not care but going over family tree stuff with my grands - they loved when I put 6 generations of pictures in a row showing the women in 'their' family (one was a tin type).... all these people lived, so you can too! They loved it and asked if, when they had babies could I show them again. I had put many pictures on digital (a zip drive and old stick) and have lost them because the digital device can no longer be accessed (even had a professional try on the zip drive) .... glad I kept the original photos. Great video.
This is great and.... something that ppl should really take heed to. I've given things away even years ago I wish I had now. Out of sight....out of mind. You forget what you have. Recently I realized the same thing about food. Canned goods...etc. Food in the freezer. I've told my family...go through every single solitary drawer, cards...everything. Thank You for this video. It's Honest and Real Truth.❤
I had my Covid stash of canned wild caught fish, but didn't eat through it fast enough. Some of it expired. Ouch! The silver lining is that I was babysitting a dog with a stubborn skin issue that wasn't responding to other diet changes and additional supplements. The fish still smelled fine (and it smelled absolutely wonderful to the dog in question!) And she Has very much enjoyed copious amounts of fatty fish this week! And just that short amount of time, the crusty skin has started renewing and doesn't have any crusts on it anymore. The tumor is no longer hot and hard, it is smaller, cooler and more mobile. I think we just figured out The right nutritional support for that dog! The expired fish in my pantry went home with her today. Her owner is very happy with the results!
Agreed. If there's a moisturiser I don't like, my hands and feet will like it. Shampoos I don't like are fine for cleaning hair brushes and rollers. A lifetime ago, my father decided to purge a cupboard, and threw out a tiny pile of small sheets of plastic in bright colours. A couple of weeks later, my mother needed to replace a red window in her camera. Didn't we have some small pieces of red plastic I can use?
Great tips!!! A couple years ago I was declutterring and added to the bag, a classic Coach purse from the early 80’s, that I received my husband. It was in mint condition but I wasn’t using it so it went into a donate bag. I could kick myself! Makes me sick and sad to this day.😢
thx to you Taryn Only kept one full length wall to wall closet with clothing including jeans- now onto 15 coats & jackets lol granddaughter about to be 11 and 5 ft tall plan to give to her first
Taryn, you always amaze me with your videos. There is always something that pertains to me in each one..Such as todays with the creams that you don't use. I've got two jars of face cream that I did not really care for and I was trying to figure out someone I could give them to...Yes, my legs can always use a slathering of that cream...You had amazing ideas on different things. Thank you as always for making us smarter about our possessions.
oh today cleaned hallway closet found a beautiful mans full length coat size 44 wool -tags still on it - never used - about to donate it but gave to my friend & he was Grateful fit perfectly he loved it But it was a new coat that my deceased husband never got to wear , but glad to make someone appreciate it
from Flylady, I learned that diluting the leftover shampoo in a shampoo bottle is a great daily soap for A quick scrub of the toilet each day. In my observation, some of the women who use the most skin care product end up with the oldest looking skin when they are older. And we absorb all of the chemicals through our skin. Just something to think about. Stay hydrated from within, and avoid seed/Bean oils the oxidize inside the body (or are often deodorized and rancid before you eat or apply them). eat plenty of your best animal protein to rebuild your skin. You can save a fortune and a lot of real estate in your bathroom if you just switch to something as simple as beef tallow and/or castor oil.
I was just at a big box store with my daughter, and one of the things she wanted was a flapper because her toilet wasn't working right. They don't stock that one anymore. Having a few on hand makes a lot of sense. my vacuum is still working great after 22 years, but they no longer make it or the parts for it. They repaired by scavenging other Vacuums brought in for exchange. Buying quality products that are likely to be made by responsible companies who don't try to design something new every single time… Wise choice.
I was helping my relative declutter drawers at her request. She was looking for some coins her deceased husband had hidden. We didn't find those. But we did find cash in nearly every drawer of which she had forgotten. When i suggested we keep all of it in one place so she wouldn't forget, she refused. Basically, it's the same thing her spouse did.
A friend of mine had to have a home caregiver for the last few years due to an accident. The most recent one I got into her drawers and got away with $10,000 worth of jewelry. It's incredibly fortunate that they were able to track what she did, and she will be dealt with in someway in this inefficient system. If my friend had not persisted, communicated with the detective, provided information from conversations that led to some of the discoveries, she would've been just one of the many elderly people that have been robbed and defrauded. You might wanna tell that story to your friend. She might need a caregiver someday herself, and this particular caregiver had gotten away with doing it in more than one town.
I don't mind decluttering stuff that is readily available at any shop and at any given time. I do however still regret all my never-to-find-again that I used my special eye to pick. I feel robbed of my uniqueness😭. I've since learned my lesson
Thanks so much for this, Taryn. I'm just starting in earnest on my journey. I also tried the Kon Mari method and went a bit overboard, years ago. These are brilliant tips. By the way, you look gorgeous in that colour. That is your colour for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 🙌
Thank you! I’ve been trying so hard to declutter but these things you speak of are exactly my thoughts going through my head so often! I’d love more videos like this!
Great advice all around! I have downgraded several face moisturizers to hand lotion. I guess the best time to declutter seasonal clothing/items is at the end of the season if you didn't wear/use them.
True for sure when it comes to simple nice leather purses and shoes, winter jackets, etc. I'm 70 and have hung onto many of the better made things I've found in thrift stores, church rummage and garage sales over the years, especially things in navy blue and camel colors, though I have parted with a few things. "My" old favorite colors are so hard to find, if not impossible for years now. Durn those resellers anyway, grabbing all the good stuff in the thrift stores these days; takes the fun out of the hunt for me, but I don't buy much of anything and don't do much shopping anymore. And the heck with what's "in style" anyway, I say. When a teenager asks you where you got your navy blue or brown leather boots, you know you have a keeper. I love the warmer colors in clothing and household decor and will never get used to the cool colors.
🎯 on the color situation! Also when that color is paired with just the right fabric! Colors come in style and trend out of it, and I've learned to try to grab a hold of more pieces than usual when the right color comes around… Sometimes even if it's some thing I have to remake to suit me. I want a wardrobe that will last that I also love!
My mom (82) has been on my daughter (27, special needs) and me (50) to get rid of my daughters American Girl collection. She started collecting in 2002 and has 11 historical dolls, 2 today dolls, Bitty Twins and Bitty baby and almost ALL the items for those dolls. We spent a fortune at the time on them. ( She has hydrocephalus and has went thru so much, including 11 brain surgeries. We over compensated to make her happy). The collection has been in SEVERAL bins stores in our garage for years. But your video has made me reconsider getting rid of them. They were such a big part of her life and just the trips to the Chicago American Girl store are such great memories. I knew I wasn't ready to part with them, but my mom (who lives with us) is relentless. She has convinced my daughter and I to get rid of things we still regret years later.
Thank you for sharing! At the end of the day, it's your choice on what to do with them; you could consider keeping some for the memories and maybe selling the rest. And even putting the ones you keep on display if you have the space 😊
My daughter was ready to part with her Breyer horses, another high ticket toy collectible. Mixed feelings. But I did offer it up online and found someone who didn't have a lot of financial resources, but DID have a granddaughter enamored of all things "horse." I'm glad I have the memory of taking the time and trouble to find someone who might really enjoy them.
I love a video like this, and I think everyone is going to be a little bit different when it comes to wisdom in keeping some things. but yes, checking boxes before disposing of them is a really good idea unless you packed it yourself and sealed it to get rid of it by a certain date if you didn't need anything from it. Somethings are just not as available anymore. As the world gets Stranger and more politically censored, I'm finding that I can't just go to the library and get the same books again. They're not there! so if you love to read, think twice. (This comes from someone who got rid of 50 boxes of books, and has more to go, but just be aware!) memories. Wow. I have boxes and boxes of things for representing memories. The thing that struck me when I first started in on one box is that I didn't remember how awesome I was!😂😂😂 The little articles appreciating things that I did, the little notes ditto, I didn't remember those things! Dementia is coming for many of us 😲 So now I've started grouping some of these materials in simple binders, sometimes with sheet protectors. It's fun to go through them from time to time!
Have a bundle of old belts that my aunt pass along. Most of the time her waist is smaller than mine. However two different times, I was able to use a belt to replace the handle or strap a purse i loved. So glad I had extras
The beauty of leather is that it can be refashioned into different things! Or different lengths, in the case of belts, as long as the recipient is losing instead of gaining in the waist line!
Idk if I would say never declutter but be intentional. Never give something away without looking through it. Only keep cards that are actually meaningful for whatever reason... not every single one from every person every year. If everything is special, nothing is special. Also, if you are not sure go through stuff and put it away for a specific time period. If you never reach for it, then don't worry about giving it away.
Sometimes the best thing about decluttering videos is that lots of people jump on board and get rid of really great stuff! 😉😉Lots of good items end up at thrift stores, charity shops or garage/rummage sales for many of us to purchase at a song! (And yes I declutter about twice a year so it's not as if I keep unnecessary 'stuff'.) My house isn't minimalistic but has little to no clutter.
re your last tent story - at 70, I have recently downsized from family home to small home. The over filled loft could have been emptied in a day by willing daughter BUT if I'd agreed to that, I'd probably be about £2000 worse off! Thnx for your wonderful vids. Mxxx
Regarding skincare, you might be allergic to an ingredient. I went for chemical testing. I am allergic to mineral oil. It would serve no purpose to keep anything with mineral oil. So know why you are paring things down. I am an older person who never had room or money for too much stuff, so I have always been thoughtful about purchases. I think the problem for a lot of women, especially, is that they have too much extra money, and believe the marketing hype. We only need one shampoo, one moisturizer for body and a lighter one for the face, etc. Just buy only what is needed. No clutter, no need to throw stuff out, no regrets over what you got rid of, a bigger bank account, and more for retirement. Trust me, you will need every penny.
My worst regret of getting rid of is... When i was a freahman and sophomore is highschool i enjoyed writing stories. Well one of them my english teach looked over and she said it was a really good story and even did any grammar corrections it needed. She encouraged me to maybe try to send it to an editor and see if i could get it published. I was a super shy girl and i feared rejection of something i enjoyed doing in my spare time so i never did anything with them. Somewhere along the way they didn't make the cut when i moved and im now wishing i had them and would love to have atleast tried to have them published.
A friend of mine got rid of a bag (I believe she sold it) with an expensive and sentimentally valued ring. An aquamarine ring, from the 70's, the really good ones.
My son and I once found someone's social security card in a purse that was in a thrift store. We gave it to a store employee, but that could have been very bad.
I've been stuck trying to figure out what to do with VHS tapes. I have some movies and various programs I've taped. I have a working VHS player and from time to time, I look at a video. I have so little room for storage, that I'm torn over what to do with them.
I had some collections to display and needed a riser so I could see the items in back - the VHS tapes were a perfect, free solution. I have pulled them off the display when I want to watch them, and back up they go when I'm done. Any little bits that are visible just look black. Not a bad idea to back them up digitally as well though.
If a skincare product cause outbreaks on one part of your body, I would think there is a decent chance they would cause outbreaks on other parts of the body as well. Your body doesnt like whatever chemicals are inside them, maybe a spesific allergy. Personally I would not take that chance, if anything you could have given it to someone else.
I have a very bad habit to put cash in my books and hear and there somewhere. After, I always forget and someday I will find cash money surprisingly somewhere. I tried to stop this habit but I can't 😔.
Maybe start a new habit of thumbing through Books that no longer serve you, and taking them to a used bookstore to resell them after you have checked what's inside!
If you are keeping sentimental items for yourself - fine. If you are keeping sentimental items for your children or others... I suggest that you either give them the items to enjoy NOW or talk to them about the item. You might be surprised that grandma's china is not something your newly married daughter has sentimental memories about. So why keep it for her until you die? OR she may love it as you do, so then pass it on NOW so she can use it and make even more memories with it.
As someone who likes to live intentionally and is actively decluttering my home, I was hoping this video (and Part 1) would provide helpful information. However, I think this was very personal to you. Instead, I believe the takeaway may be not to declutter impulsively. There have been numerous studies about how living with fewer things helps health and well-being. I know some personalities will have regrets with decluttering. Personally, I use a ‘time will tell’ bin before decluttering, especially for items I’m not sure about. This way, you are a lot less likely to have regrets. Instead of saying ‘NEVER get rid of these’ items, changing the way you declutter may be more useful.
It’s the rubber thing that lifts when you flush and lets the water out of the bowl :) apparently they need to be changed in our house more often because our water eats up the rubber on them!
I think clothes are hard for different people… What's your background? Is it about being frugal? A wonderful memory? A fantasy that you will fit into it someday because that's not actually a fantasy… It's a possibility? A personality that loves variety? Creativity that tells you that you can combine things in new ways, old ones with new ones? Is it because you were deprived of being able to dress nicely at some point in your life? Is it because you Want to sell them for a good price? Is it because you don't wanna give up any more closet space to a partner😅? When it comes to decluttering, sometimes it helps to figure out why you wanna keep things before you figure out whether or not Life will be better without them!
But you have few, some have drawers and drawers of stuff for skin, if they would have that mindset to use in other parts of their body, your validating their feelings of not getting rid of stuff. No hate here, it’s just all or nothing for me. 😊
@@tarynmaria_ I binged watch your videos, i like it being clear and straightforward. Yes there’s no one size fits all with minimizing but at the end of the day what’s important is we will be able to keep only what is truly important, i been decluttering for so long but still learn a lot from many UA-camrs like you.
If I wasn't a hoarder before, I certainly feel the urge to become someone who holds onto more, now that the WEF has told me that I'll own nothing and be happy. And basically they will own everything.
Today I'm sharing 10 items to never declutter! These are items you should keep while you're decluttering. #declutteringandorganizing #decluttering #minimalism

One thing I definitely regret getting rid of is good quality denim (Jean jackets, shorts, jeans) from the 80s and 90s. Wish I still had a few items. No acid wash lol but the classic stuff.
I love that idea so much! And I so agree about the denim - I miss all the thick real cotton denim from back then!!

yep. fanned through every book, checked inside every vase of dried flowers, etc . Only found a necklace she'd hidden in a vase. But still -

Wow, what a great story!!!
What a wonderful treasure!
So true, right? Thank you for sharing!
OMG!
That is so amazing that you have six generations of photos!! Thank you for sharing!

I love your prudent approach to decluttering.
Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Great tips!!! A couple years ago I was declutterring and added to the bag, a classic Coach purse from the early 80’s, that I received my husband. It was in mint condition but I wasn’t using it so it went into a donate bag. I could kick myself! Makes me sick and sad to this day.😢
Urgh I'm sorry, I can imagine!!! :(
thx to you Taryn Only kept one full length wall to wall closet with clothing including jeans- now onto 15 coats & jackets lol granddaughter about to be 11 and 5 ft tall plan to give to her first
Great job, Theresa!!
I am so glad!! ☺❤
oh today cleaned hallway closet found a beautiful mans full length coat size 44 wool -tags still on it - never used - about to donate it but gave to my friend & he was Grateful fit perfectly he loved it But it was a new coat that my deceased husband never got to wear , but glad to make someone appreciate it
from Flylady, I learned that diluting the leftover shampoo in a shampoo bottle is a great daily soap for A quick scrub of the toilet each day.
Love how you think, great tips!
It sounds like a lot of people do these kinds of things. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the balance to minimalism.
You are so welcome!
I like your ideas and the reasons about them. Intelligently presented !
Thank you!!
I don't mind decluttering stuff that is readily available at any shop and at any given time. I do however still regret all my never-to-find-again that I used my special eye to pick. I feel robbed of my uniqueness😭. I've since learned my lesson
Thank you for sharing!
I have done the same & feel the same way. Later on, feel like I've lost parts of me.
I regret getting rid of all of my high school yearbooks. I could have kept the last year.
Ahh sorry to hear that! I have heard that they are putting a lot of yearbooks online -you might be able to find it!
@@tarynmaria_ Thanks for the tip. I will check.
Finally, someone who speaks my truth 😀

Thanks so much for this, Taryn. I'm just starting in earnest on my journey. I also tried the Kon Mari method and went a bit overboard, years ago. These are brilliant tips. By the way, you look gorgeous in that colour. That is your colour for sure. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 🙌
Thank you so much!
Thank you! I’ve been trying so hard to declutter but these things you speak of are exactly my thoughts going through my head so often! I’d love more videos like this!
Awesome, thank you so much for letting me know!
Excellent guidelines!
Thank you!!
Great advice all around! I have downgraded several face moisturizers to hand lotion. I guess the best time to declutter seasonal clothing/items is at the end of the season if you didn't wear/use them.
Thank you, Jenny! 😊
I have a whole bunch of beautiful wool suits from Pendleton that I intend to keep. They don't make suits anymore.
Love that!
My daughters deeply regret that I got rid of my clothing from the 1980’s-1990’s. Who would have thought they would be so popular again!
I know! I also wish I had hung on to some of my stuff!!
@@bitrudder3792 that is so awesome! ❤️
(This comes from someone who got rid of 50 boxes of books, and has more to go, but just be aware!)
memories.
Awesome! Love that you have those things to look back on!
You are so right
Thank you!
Have a bundle of old belts that my aunt pass along. Most of the time her waist is smaller than mine. However two different times, I was able to use a belt to replace the handle or strap a purse i loved. So glad I had extras
That is great!!
Thank you for sharing!
😃 Great video 😃 Thank you for the tips!
You are so welcome!
Very true - I have for sure found some amazing items at the thrift store :)
re your last tent story - at 70, I have recently downsized from family home to small home. The over filled loft could have been emptied in a day by willing daughter BUT if I'd agreed to that, I'd probably be about £2000 worse off! Thnx for your wonderful vids. Mxxx
You are so welcome, and thank you for sharing that!
My goodness! What an Amazing video! Thanks a ton

Somebody gave me a bunch of face moisturizer. It does not work on my face, but I have been using it for my dry skin on legs. It gets it used up.
Thank you for sharing! :)
You had some really good ideas , thank you for this video xx
You are so welcome!
Oh that's too bad! Maybe you can try and recreate them, if you remember some of them!
A friend of mine got rid of a bag (I believe she sold it) with an expensive and sentimentally valued ring. An aquamarine ring, from the 70's, the really good ones.
Ohhhhh that stinks!! :(
New sub here… thanks for the tips. Downsizing now. Very helpful 🎉🎉
Welcome, I'm so glad you're here!!
Good one!

My son and I once found someone's social security card in a purse that was in a thrift store. We gave it to a store employee, but that could have been very bad.
FYI, it might've been better to give it to the Social Security administration. You don't know who that employee was.
I've been stuck trying to figure out what to do with VHS tapes. I have some movies and various programs I've taped. I have a working VHS player and from time to time, I look at a video. I have so little room for storage, that I'm torn over what to do with them.
Hmm I wonder if you could send the tapes off and get them made into digital videos? I have heard of a company called iMemories that does this!
@@tarynmaria_ Thank you!
I had some collections to display and needed a riser so I could see the items in back - the VHS tapes were a perfect, free solution. I have pulled them off the display when I want to watch them, and back up they go when I'm done. Any little bits that are visible just look black. Not a bad idea to back them up digitally as well though.
@@heathrusty I have over 300 videos and not much wall space, its an idea I can consider. Thank you for sharing.

So if you choose to keep the skin care for other parts of your body, would you buy it again?
Unless I was seeing miraculous results, I wouldn't! :)
what is a flapper?
It's the rubber part that holds the water in the toilet :)
@@tarynmaria_ oh in bowl? btw why does that need replacement?
@@TheAdultContemporaryMusicCh the rubber wears out eventually and doesn't make a proper seal anymore.
@@margarethathaway6299 this is very old, what stops it or fixes it? and when do you know you need to do it?

Grandma used to hide money in pots, boxes, old clothing etc. Had to go through everything!
So many people hide money like this it seems like!
Yeah, hear you about coats and leather belts.

For me, my face skin is much more sensitive than other places so it works well to use the products elsewhere.
does that sweat shirt say oswego st?
It does! My sister went there for a bit and that t shirt is a hand me down from her son 😊

Great idea!
If you use coconut oil it will smell great too.
I have a very bad habit to put cash in my books and hear and there somewhere. After, I always forget and someday I will find cash money surprisingly somewhere. I tried to stop this habit but I can't 😔.
Maybe try putting the money in your pockets instead and you can check them when you do laundry?
Maybe start a new habit of thumbing through Books that no longer serve you, and taking them to a used bookstore to resell them after you have checked what's inside!
If you are keeping sentimental items for yourself - fine. If you are keeping sentimental items for your children or others... I suggest that you either give them the items to enjoy NOW or talk to them about the item. You might be surprised that grandma's china is not something your newly married daughter has sentimental memories about. So why keep it for her until you die? OR she may love it as you do, so then pass it on NOW so she can use it and make even more memories with it.
Thank you for sharing!
What’s a toilet flapper?
It’s the rubber thing that lifts when you flush and lets the water out of the bowl :) apparently they need to be changed in our house more often because our water eats up the rubber on them!

Why are clothes so hard?
I know - so hard!
I think the idea is to move the item from the "keep it" category to the "use it up" category.
Yes - if that doesn't work for you then don't do it. I will use my items up eventually though and not re buy :)
@@tarynmaria_ I binged watch your videos, i like it being clear and straightforward.
