I'm with Sal on this whole thing but if you like a specific x Men writer then read all of the books from that person. Duggen wrote Uncanny Avengers, Iron Man, Fall of House of X, and X-Men. So as a Duggen fan with what he's done with X-Men, those would be what I care about. Just pick and choose, it doesn't matter at the end since it's all going back to issue #1s this August.
I agree thigh I do think marvel could've built more hype around the end of krokoa if they stopped the other books and just rise and fall weekly. Do similar release to hoxpox
It is becoming increasingly fustrating watching Benny try to argue with Sal when he clearly has not read or not closely read the material they are discussing. I’m truly not trying to be rude, but it is very difficult to listen/watch a show when one host has to constantly correct the other about what is actually happening in the comic. One of the great things about Sal and Comic pop is that while he is giving great insight, he is also able to give important context about the character history and whats happening to the artists/ writers . While Benny on the other hand seems to not fully digest the material they are discussing.

I think it hasalot to do with the amount of comics he reads. He's said before he reads tons of comics and flips through most of them. Whereas sal only reads and reviews what he likes for the most part. So it leads to benny not absorbing what he sees and just flips through
I agree, I know Benny has a specific case of ADHD, but if you are doing a Professional channel where you discuss media it can be frustrating for the audience if you don´t seem to have given it your full attention
I completely agree. I only watch this stuff because of SaL. I don’t watch Benny his constant talking over Sal is annoying.

What I've learned is the difference between an event and an initiative is that an event has the numbering on the cover and an initiative you just have to figure out the order on your own
I like how everyone agrees Benny is the problem here not Fall of X lol. Fall of X isn’t an event it’s a status quo, just like how Dawn of DC isn’t an event. That would be like trying to follow a main plot through all DC books even though they are telling their own stories. Benny just has got to stop ranting about fall of x. Dudes making it seem like it’s impossible to read

Okay so usually I’d disagree with Benny on FoX but this concluding chapter, like the X-Men Forever/Rise&Fall/X-Men/Iron Man 5+ concurrent series is actually a massive pain in the ass to read.
The actual status quo of post Hellfire Gala was nowhere as difficult as Benny was making it seem but right now he absolutely has a point. Cause Marvel is really cracking that whip and saying put 2 years worth of story into 6 months
Am I crazy or does benny now just want to do a manga podcast but sal just aint having it cause his arguments always come back to manga which have absolutely nothing in common with western comics other than illustrations in a panel lay out.
Benny is not that hard. It’s laid out in the back of the books and the FoX is a year long chapter of krakoa. Not everything will be explained in other titles.

Hot take; I prefer initiatives and “chapters” over events
Dawn of X, Reign of X, Destiny of X, and Fall of X are all initiatives as part of the Krakoa era with different status quos and Fall of X is merely the end point of it all.
I disagree with Ben here, I think it's mostly because you haven't been reading it but i don't think this should've been made into full event. I recommend the british trio (X-men: Red, Immortal X-men, Legion of X).

I read probably equally amount of both but the story telling in manga is very different than in comics
I'm just reading Rise and X-Men Forever. That's all I can recommend.
I really feel for you Benny, i’ve been collecting the trades to the whole thing over the last three or four years i’m two weeks away from getting inferno and have been buying the Dawn of X compilations on my way there i just ordered Reign of X 11&12 and next week i’m getting the last two 13&14 before getting inferno and Batman Contagion (to finish my Batman no mans land run up) and so i’m still buying the trades in pairs starting Trials of X up to 10 the fallowing week they only printed Trials up to 12 out of 14 in english or it flips to Destiny of X but we’re not getting english prints. From there i have to buy the individual trades add in captain marvel and invincible iron man (a few volumes but i think i’m just going to get the whole runns if i like them i mean for iron man it seems to be the first three volumes but C.M. Is volumes 9-10) still don’t know how many of each series it will take to get to Fall of X Rise of X but the last Two Trials books have overlap with the ones you’d need anyway so i’m just stopping those at vol 10. Then i have to get X lives of wolverine, Sins of Sinister, Dark Web, A.X.E. Judgment day, and Devils Reign at least the X-men tie in book maybe Empyer as well and then figure out wich order to put them on the shelf in.
TLDR: I’m with you Benny 👍

They should have cancelled all the x-books, and done Fall Of X, a 12 part series, like House/Powers that wrapped up everything. I expect they didn’t because they wanted the sales, but ironically I would have bought 12 fall of x issues, as it is I’ve bought nothing.
I sorta agree with Benny and I have been readijg most of Fall of X but ALOT of the related books were pretty pointless honestly
I definitely recommend reading the 1st issue of Dead X-Men!
It actually is a crucial part of the Fall story, some really cool stuff happens & you get to see timelines that we missed out in due to the Fall coming earlier than expected.
But ya, after that 1st issue they somehow made Dead X-Men obsolete and gave you no reason to keep reading unless you just wanted to go along for the ride. Everything after issue 1 is absolutely skippable.
It's exactly like Dawn of X just pick the titles you like and read them and well thats that, I guess the marketing is bad and the story since Hickman left is whatever but I agree it's not an event
Iron man jaeger suit is cool
Feels like a story line affecting a large group of characters rather then an event which usually involves a smaller group of key players and then it affects others as well, reminds me of Blackest Night of here’s the leaders of the corps but here’s tie ins of how the emotionally connected dead risen and the whole world deals with that. Probably would be best with a number system of parts then here’s other parts of the world dealing with the happening
Here's what I'm reading for Fall of X: finishing up Red and Immortal, Forever, Fall, Rise, then X-men #35. Everything else is just skippable to me, including pretty much all of Duggan's X-Men after #12.

I can feel Sal's frustration through the screen. Benny is making this way to complicated. Sal is on tho, read the one plot the writer yiu like is doing and youre fine. Its not wll going to matter to grand scheme, they are just putting out books

@AbsolutelyMarvelDC lol are u sure? Feel like every time other creators get brought up in the chat over there, Sal/ComicPop/Benny always gets love. Rob is a about to be on like next week. I'm sure he would love to work with you guys, I don't think I've ever heard him talk bad about anyone other than the incel ragebait guys like "Thinking Critical" etc. That community is basically all the regulars from these channels as well, especially the Xmen fans. I've been personally lobbying to get Tiff in on the post krakoa breakdown planned with Blerd W/O Fear because she is one of the best when it comes to Xmen coverage and actually reading the books and offering great takes. Hope it all works out, all u guys are awesome.

Yeah NGL Marvel is losing it with these 40 parts x-overs. Has there ever been an event this stupidly stuffed full of issues that actually worked? I know my DC stuff has Absolute Power coming soon and I’m not sure how much that’s going to fall out into everyone’s series or not nor how many damn tie in specials it will have. Is DC Infinite and its reading library still a thing? I mainly read DC anyway and would rather pay one low price a month and save some hard copies for the indie books that I find interesting
