I am so grateful that we are seeing some attention paid to father’s visitation rights and custody rights. Some father’s really want to show up in their child’s life. Kids benefit for having whole hearted , loving supportive fathers. Family law has been so unfair and inadequate in making sure kids get what they deserve, meaning kids and dads should not have to fight to be in others lives. I see my 9 year old son 1 day a week for an 8 hour day thanks to the failed family law system.
I won primary custody of my son after a 3 year custody battle. I can tell you that my judge was definitely gender biased against dads. But I overcame her gender bias by focusing on the best interest factors as stated in the law. I proved I was a better parents across the board. And I gave the judge no wiggle room or ability to figure out how to rubber stamp the mother for custody.

My wife is threatening me that she'll win custody and get child support. How does this work if she refused to get a job despite me asking multiple times?
BEWARE! This firm misrepresented me during my divorce. My attorney was inexperienced, failed miserably, and ultimately withdrew from my case and quit the firm. Joe Cordell does not respond to complaints and completely ignores issues with his employees. Not a partner you can count on...
My husband’s ex alienated him from his children for so long that the daughter who is now an adult wants nothing to do with dad because she doesn’t know him, damaged their relationship permanently. He is 250k in arrears But he lost that job back in 2007 he was only making 8.50 per hour after that and it never got changed. He loves all his kids she kept them away to make him pay more in child support, And to financially hurt him and emotionally hurt him, she used his daughter like a pawn. He had not seen his daughter for 10 years. Can he sue mom when daughter is no longer in her home.

I changed jobs so that I could be there when the kids went to school and when they came home from school. I hope this helps :-)

Most state websites have self help forms and even a financial form where you can claim financial hardship to help with filing fees.

What a wicked women! Karma will come back to hit her in the worst way. Poor father and child.
