That startup was done in sport mode just for the video. You can start them on silent mode and you won’t even hear them turn on.

@@kenroot5682 Thanks Man..The 34 Costa has some beautiful lines, and I appreciate the yacht like quality compartment doors and parts. I'm hoping for a low to mid 70's mph boat with twins once they tweak it out.

I have a Yamaha on my boat and I really like it with no issues and I never experienced the mercury but from the outside mercury seems to be on the cutting edge

It’s conventional but a Mercury system which is more reactive to the touch.
It is a little humorous watching CCO ride around on pontoon boats lol. Not that there is anything wrong with 65mph pontoon boats. Mercury just coup-d'etat Yamaha & Suzuki overnight. Suzuki was really taking control of the 350 market with no competition and Yam 425's controlled the market for 400hp motors that had gobs torque. But the Mercury 400's are almost 300 lbs lighter than Yam's 425 which is a clear shot across the bow and the 400's are even lighter than the Suzuki 350's. The only market left for Suzuki will be people looking to save money but with million dollar boats how many people is that?
Suzuki 350s have horrible reliability with there lowerunits.

I'm no expert on reliability of Suzuki 350's but I fo know charters love them. I find it hard to believe it's unreliable if charters swear by them.

Not sure yet but we’ll find out for you. We know the 400 is in the mid 40s.
I dunno if this is a true "win" for Mercury, a Yamaha VMAX 200 with a Nizpro supercharger gives you 450HP, weighs around 150 lbs less and would more than likely save you around $10k 😅
yes but you will destroy out drives every time you use it.
@@herygarcia6193 Nizpro has ran the 450's for hundreds of hours without failure, they are currently getting close to 600hp with these motors as well but are still in testing.

Merc 450 R is a complete disaster are we supposed believe as merc customers who have had nothing but problems and can't get parts that this is any better?
are you really comparing a marine Engine with Superchargers with a naturally aspirated engine? you realize there is a reason it's under the "RACING" umbrella, right?
