The one at the right, from the box, is the original, I have them and all their accessories for the shaft are 3mm, you can't use another servo arms on it
@@FliPastRC LOL Cool.... have you compared the ES08**II serries to the newer ES09** serries? Seems like they might be worth the extra weight. Thanks...
I'm in the same boat, my last lot of ES08s came in boxes (and have worked flawlessly), the new ones I ordered (pack of 4) arrived in a bag last week. I was planning to use the new ones in a reasonably 'decent' model (FlyingWings Falcon), but I think I'll use some Hitecs instead as 'fake' did cross my mind too.
I have the same servos in my Falcon Evo they came in a box and have worked faultlessly. The only dimension not given on the EMAX website for the ES08MAII is the shaft dia. I must email the link for video to EMAX & see what they have to say
@@codyknowland291 He said they were likely fake l but worked well... I got a few from Aloft Hobbies to try out and they came in a box with 3mm shafts and a scratch code to confirm the box at least is genuine and they work well enough to say you have to spend a lot more to get a better servo that won't match the price increase. Reminds me of the improvements in low cost audio gear available now. Seems like Emax knows about it and why the scratch code is added to the box... but I'd put it on the bottom of the servo as not all online retailers with employees are 100% reputable.
I own both, big and small output gears, they have centering issue.. Gears a bit loose...

Wow... over two years ago and no followup. What was the outcome?
Fake I am sure but worked really well!

@@FliPastRC 2 years and no post of the outcome? What did you learn?
@@JohnFHendry what he said... what happened? I've just encountered the same exact issue
