- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- Julian Jacobs has drifted cars in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and of course all over the USA. His 1JZ S14, and his S13 Silvia are some of the most known vehicles in grassroots drifting and they have changed looks dozens of times. As one of the founders of Animal Style he continues to push his driving and the teams driving. Julian is also one of the founders of Super D, and he created Heat Maker as well. He has driven with a wide range of people in his almost 20 years of drifting from pros to Japanese legends.

This episode should be called "the foodest cast"
Oh yah, will you guys go over your various Assetto Drift sim set ups?? Wheels & pedals blah blah blah?! Thanks!
Everyone has something different. I think just get whatever you can afford and play as much as you can is the mindset.
Goodestcast Sounds like a solid drifting mindset too! Great podcast bro!
The early driftworks videos were out together by some Australians guys I think? I remember a burgundy R33 with a T67 doing siiiiiick pulls. Those video’s were popular before Phil and James started drifting and they came up with the name by themselves. It was only after they realised.
The early uploads were a lot to do with VRT (Velocity Racing Team) which at that time, had cool stuff like a Geocities pages. Mike, Rancho and Matt (DEKACHIN Racing Yokohama) had a lot to do with. Earnie Fixmer was in Japan in that era too, so he might be a good dude to talk to.
Those really early guys, that put content out there for guys like me (20+ club) deserve way more credit for their influence, if not, piracy skills 🤣
Can someone please let me know what podcast was mentioned to listen? S…something…mania or similar.

I'm the 69th thumbs up. That is all.
What FD has become in drifting, is what slalom is to skateboarding... taking something exciting and enjoyable, sucking out the soul and stuffing it into a box it has no business fitting in
