- Kazuya Taguchi is one of very few drifters who have competed in drifting at the top level in multiple countries. He came to the United States from Japan a little over three years ago and had to learn English and a lot more along the way. He came here to win and has been working his way up to being a force in Formula Drift while still making time for building cool cars with the JDM style we love so much. Kazuya is also part of the famous Japanese drift team Moccomans whose headquarters is Garage Yamaguchi. We get into Kazuya’s origin story back in Japan and his early days street drifting stories. Kazuya has a very high drift IQ and there’s a lot to learn about his evaluation of driving and techniques

I didn't root for anybody in FD since I can't relate to any of the drivers, but now I can. I'm just amazed with Kazuya's tenacity, resilience, and passion. It reminds me of when I was younger (I'm two years older and I fell in love with drifting the same way he did). I see here a future world champion. GO TAGUCHI!

Kazuya is definitely one of my favorite drivers. His style while driving and while not driving is just so good. Look good and drive hard at its finest. Great interview, so cool hearing from someone who grew up and learned drifting in Japan.👌

@@Goodestcast Cristian "Atila" Espinosa is one hell of a character that's for sure, but we have amazing talent over here such as Joan Caballer, Rubén Bolaños, Roberto Gallo, Arnau Gómez, Lluis Lopez (who drove in the EDC if I'm not mistaken). The people from 187garage are pretty rad, too.
