+Dakota Wentworth Thanks! I fish both fly and spin, for me both are tools that have their uses, and on a quick evening outing like this, spin it was. Whatever gear I'm using, I do try to practice catch and release as much as possible, especially for trout.
Hey man I saw ur post on NJfishing.com and I have to say, awesome video. I just moved here from Boston and am new to trout fishing. If u ever have the time and want to go fishing together id love to. I live near Paramus!
+Justin Komins Welcome to NJ! Fishing time has been tight for me lately with the holidays, but for some quick fishing local to you, make sure to check out the Saddle River. There is great access via a bike/walking path that runs the length of the river through a county park. It holds the usual local freshwater fish as well as getting stocked with trout in the spring. Good luck out there!
+Justin Komins saddle river is a sweet river but just keep in mind if u fish the saddle river, there is a wild brown trout population there. if u catch a brown its wild. if u catch a rainbow its a stocky. much appreciated if the wild boys go back in the water. pass it on if u love fishing for trout. too many times ive seen retards with browns on stringers at the saddle. most of the browns are under sized anyway to be legal keepers.. Ramapo river is a great "put and take" river if u like to keep the trout... tight lines!!
+Zelig Mestel There are a lot of places to go. The DFW stocked several locations as part of their fall (www.njfishandwildlife.com/trtinfo_fall.htm) and winter (www.njfishandwildlife.com/trtinfo_winter.htm) stockings, check out the links for locations and maps. Also, Trout Conservation Areas (TCAs - look at www.njfishandwildlife.com/accesscnty.htm) offer good year round trout fishing as well, but check the regulations before you head out for gear and creel limitations. Good luck out there!
Nice video!!!
I love that okuma reel
Great to see a catch and release spin angler! Rare sight in Colorado...
