I miss the old infomercial presentation style where some dude was just doing his best hi-ya at the slab of pork instead of looking like a deleted scene from Sicario. This has some kind of weird dungeon-porn snuff-film vibe to it.
I have carried this knife for just about a year. Excellent outstanding backup/defense folder. In fact best I have found so far. I have several large folders from CS (Voyagers, Rajaha, ElVacaro) ..to Spyderco XL Manix, Tatanka, Camillus Cuda Maxx, REKAT SIFU, all have short commings and advantages. Some are too heavy, others too thin to grip or too fat to carry as an EDC. The Frenzy gets almost everything right. Light enough to carry all day, just thick enough to get a solid grip. Strong lock, good steel.
@@kashgoat1361 Love the knife. Extremely comfortable in the pocket and probably the most versatile in the CS line up. Great for food prep, defense, utilitarian, etc, etc. Awesome wicked blade!
Maybe I'm wrong physics was not my strong suit, but I think the blade is too long for that to work out of the pocket. Plus you'd wack your friend in the shins.
This is a martial blade. It's made for fast delivery into vital organs. The modified sheep's foot is not ideal for everyday cutting tasks. If you want an EDC, get a Spyderco Manix 2.
@@9unslin9er What are you talking about it's perfect for cutting boxes and ripping through carpet. Cold steel even makes one called the Tuff lite. The style of tip makes it so it can rip through the target without needing a longer blade. Also the Frenzy isn't exactly fast delivery. It has thumb studs, but the triad lock makes opening it slightly awkward and stiff. There are way quicker knives out there.
My god i wish i could carry that knife for work (im a gardener) but alass i live in England. Where you can't carry knives over 3 inches( 7.62 cm) legally anyway. *sigh*
Rope, yeah- overstrikes, spine whacks, static weight, yeah. But ballistic gel hand? Meat in a glove? Come on, man- put those comic books away- how old are you now? Might as well see how it does against your stuffed animal collection. Ha! You impressed me with your consistency and repeatability for a minute. Can't resist the silly shit, though.
Володимир Когут I disagree yes the knife is big but so is the recon 1 XL and that's been my edc for about two years now. While cold steel makes some folders a little on the big side if you're in an area where you can carry a knife that big then it absolutely is a decent edc and the length and extra mass adds more functionality than your average folder.
+zachary glynn I never told it was too big - big folders are the best. What makes this knife awfull EDC, even among other bigger folders, is it`s blade geometry. It is good for penetration but bad for *everything* else. Check your everyday knife applications - 95% of those require decent cutting and slicing abilities, and thin blade (less then 3 mm). It is not a matter of opinion or taste - this is historicall fact - good blades for EDC should be good slicers and cutters. Google how did knives look in 19th century, when people actually did not buy crap made up by marketologist to make more money. Love Cold Steel. Love big folders. I carry Spyderco Resilience for 2 years already whenever I go. Have a good day.
Володимир Когут I mean they show in the video that it's a pretty strong slicer as well. I mean they carve up that glove and balistic gel hand like it was nothing
My absolute favorite is the Voyager Vaquero XL serrated. But I never sharpen it. Is only for self-defense.And I live in Germany. Unfortunately I'm not politically correct Lynn 😅😉🫡

You folks at cold steel have a sick since of humor we appreciate that
Mine is on the way. Can't wait!!! Blueberry handle was my choice. Good call Mr. Lynn Thompson.
Just got mine how do you like it so far

@@kashgoat1361 Awesome!
Butt can it still slice a Tomato?
No, but it'll stab the little red bastard to death.
@David P. Uh yes they are
Cold Steel, after Rawles Voyager, LT Vaquero - dont you think a "Demko Special Frenzy" with DLC coating and thumb assist would be a winner ???
My absolute favorite is the Voyager Vaquero XL serrated. But I never sharpen it. Is only for self-defense.
Really like this knife but knife prices are disgusting here in Germany...
Jaaoood : Machs so wie ich und bestelle es dir in den USA fuer die Haelfte des Preises.
Interesting... did not expect the g10 to hold up that much weight. Especially since the whole knife is held together with just a couple of screws!
Totally digging the new format for the Proof vids 👍😁👍
Knife is nice, but that bass guitar is terrific!
a 4 inch version would be better. and why no wave feature? if this is marketed as a tactical knife a thumb plate is necessary.
Maybe I'm wrong physics was not my strong suit, but I think the blade is too long for that to work out of the pocket. Plus you'd wack your friend in the shins.
@shaunpearson7905 the XL Espada has a wave, people put snaggletooths on Frenzys, very doable.
Nasty...Absolutely Nasty What A Good Knife Can Do...But Sometimes Nasty Is Required.
Cold Steel, please build a 4" version and a 3" while you're at it. The current one isn't exactly an ideal everyday carry piece.

I would like to have a Frenzy with a 4 inch blade.
@@propanedaddy5577 you can flick or drop flick a frenzy without using your thumb
How to get a knife like that? Is't too long to be kept in the pants pocket?
I’ve carried my XL voyager tanto for a couple years with no problem
you know what's too long to keep in pants....wink wink
hahahahahaha
Anyone else feel every ounce of this? 6:29. O.O
6:36 was where the love was..😉
OK you guys know I’ve got to buy a Cold steel frenzy 🇺🇸🤘🏻☘️⚡️⚡️💯

I recently got the chance to hold a frenzy at a knife shop and I seven bigger than it looks on video, so awsome
Wrong way to use a lanyard.
It's like a pocket butcher's knife ..love it !!!
My only concern is that tip...
This why I sure choose cold steel products
Expensive price but great quality
Krishna Kalashnikov fair prices if you compare them to other companies
Malcolm Townsend yes better than spyderco or ZT knives
Yeah!!! the beard man! Rock on!
Needs liners
Good work thats a very well made knife ps yall 1917 cutlass i bought its slicing and dicing through brush and trees amazingly till this day.
Excelente, propongo a su empresa, que sus suscriptores.tengan un regaló de su parte por medio de un sorteo,o como lo dispongan ustedes.Saludos
Other knife makers should pay Demko not to test there knifes😂

Dude, wtf do you think the knife is for??
Cold steel is a marketing company 1st.
ouch!
It`s a collectors piece. Knife if fun, but it will not be a good everyday user.
