I like how they didn't try to redo it. They were honest about the thumb disc breaking. That's integrity folks. Cutting into that can hurt me. Made cringe like nails on a chaulk board. Brutal.. Lol that last stabby bloody serial killer move was awesome
I know a lot of people talk shit about the test. Asking when will you ever use your pocket knife for something that stresses the blade, lock up and handle? I was at an old fishing creek last weekend me and my brother grew up on. They dont let people fish without permission and we discovered quickly we were in prepared. My buddy had a cheap name brand machete that was dull as hell. I used my 5.5" talwar to fail several saplings in epic fashion. I was wishing I had brought the good ole voyager cause I didn't want to ding up my baby. It cut everything it put it through. Love the fact I can put everything I have in to swinging a big folder and not have to worry about a catastrophic failure leaving me without digits. Thank you Cold Steel. Btw we didn't catch nothing.
XHP is being phased out. From what I heard, Carpenter, the steel maker, has decided to turn their output toward making structural grade steels instead of cutlery grade. Sucks biiig!
I would have been happier without the thumb disc ! Thumb stud or oval hole is fine with me, either copy the Emerson wave n pay them or come up with another hooking device that's just as good!!! Hate the squarish thumb studs on many of CS knives because it doesn't grab pants without slipping ! Otherwise CTX-XHP is a mean cutting steel !!!
It's one of the more "one trick pony" knives I've seen. It's designed after a gladius, which is meant to stab. It stabs very very well, as this video demonstrates. But it clearly struggles in the utility work. You can see it right away when he has to reposition the blade to be able to make the cut at 7:50. It's design is meant for stabbing, and it'll stab like nothing you've ever held before, but it is by no means an EDC user.
This new testing style is tedious and boring as shit. Where is the steers skull displayed on a pedestal for the rotund fellow to drive the Immortal through the forehead of it while yelling KEYAIIIII!! Smh. What has the world come to when Cold Steel has done away with their magnificently over the top cutting displays in favor of this slow, torturous video of technical jargon? Urgh
Immortal is shit. I dropped it once on the concrete, it broke completely. One drop...a joke. I have dropped my cheap CRST perhaps 50 times and still works as new. The triad lock is a joke as well. After about 30 draws from pocket the thumb stud became wobbly and the screw on the top of it cannot be tighten. And yes it was purchased from an authorized dealer. Lesson learned. ZT from now on.
Please put this knife back into production. Out of all the knives, this is the one that stuck out to me!
Yep the Immortal is a powerful weapon which I carry everyday, it's just badass.
the knife is awesome but ironproof sucks😢i love the old tests😢
mmmmmm.... so calming
Why is it that where they work looks like a torture dungeon?

Finally a knife befitting for THE ONE ABOVE ALL
