    Excellent! You go through right from the simple explanations we all think we know already but then add layers and details on top. So good. I didn't know about the 3 cells that we have. It's so nice to not only have all this information but with explanations so I know why it is so. Fantastic! Can't wait for the next video. Oh and that cake looks amazing!! Xx

A brilliant video which everyone should watch, perhaps then they wouldn’t constantly complain at how the meteorologists/presenters always gets the forecasts wrong!!

    The hot side of a fridge, or hvac lines is actually compressed into a liquid. Then it goes through a condenser on the outside of the fridge (or at the front of a car, or outside of your house. Then it goes through either an oriface tube, or an expansion valve and expands into a gas again causing a very big temperature drop going into the evaporator core inside the fridge or car, or your hvac in the house.

    So, I was just looking for some easy peezy "How to make storms" sort of video. And I stumbled upon this majestic piece of knowledge that hooked me from the start and left me wanting so much more. I almost feel compelled to write a comment telling you the outstanding quality of your video, not only the graphics (That are breathtaking to say the least), but the way you explain the different things, it's so clear! So I'm gonna do like hot air does to the atmosphere and I'm gonna push that like and subscribe button as hard as I can. Truly an incredible job, I hope you kept on with the same (or better) energy! Cheers from Argentina n.n

    Always been fascinated by weather, went from astraphobic and dreading Summer storms to being disappointed when predicted storms wind up dissolving and/or passing Southwest of my house (I do have a minor fear of losing my computer to a direct strike but the chances are astronomically low considering the nonconductive nature and relatively low elevation of my house).
    I live in Mounds View so I'm curious if thermal rise generated from the buildings and asphalt in Minneapolis cause the storms to be diverted but this is all speculation on my part.
    Whoops, there's another one of my tangents. I meant to say that I'm glad to find something nice and simple like this, there's nothing wrong in having stuff explained to the layperson but my inquisitive mind usually looks up further and further into topics. Plus, I'm a very visual person so these simplified visuals with colored balls really helps visualize phenomena like this.

    • @ItsJustAstronomical
      @ItsJustAstronomical  3 роки тому

      Warm air along the tropics holds lots of water. And importantly, the air is rising all along the equator. And the air rises, it cools down, and then it rains. Around the tropics there's a band of very wet climate called the intertropical convergence zone or the ITCZ. I'll explain more about it in my next video.
