  • The first-generation Ford C-Max, which rolled off the assembly line at the Saarloo plant in 2003, was available with one wheelbase option: 2,640 mm. The length of the car was equal to 4391 mm, width and height - 1825 and 1588 mm, respectively. The model was based on the Ford C1 platform, on which the Ford Focus and Mazda5 were built. Depending on the version, the equipped weight varied from 1372 to 1527 kg. The strong side of the Si-Max was refined handling. But the motors were ordinary. The series of gasoline units consisted of atmospheric "fours" 1.6 (100-115 hp), 1.8 (125) and 2.0 (145), and the line of turbodiesel engines included 1.6 (90-109 hp), 1.8 (115) and 2.0 ( 136). Gearboxes - five- and six-speed "mechanics" plus "automatic machines" with four or six ranges. The strictly five-seater Ford C-Max was sold in Europe and New Zealand, and production in Germany was discontinued in 2010.
