Yeah for sure. I expected CARmageddon 🔥💥👋 but luckily barely anything happened other than the body and splitter. Also the body is quite thick. It has to be a 2mm thick body which also helps. When I flipped I might have flipped over the curb or just grazed it. A direct hit into the curb probably would have bent the chassis at 119Mph. This car is now all fixed and peacefully sitting the winter out in one piece. The carnage will resume in the spring...hahahaha.💨😵🤦♂️💥🔥🙈😱🚀😂😂 The slash is getting run tomorrow 🙏🤞

That sucks bro, reminds me of my crash 2 weeks ago very similar and a week later a back flips but landed. I'm out 2 gt bodies 2 cvds a control arm and pins. I fixed both cars the infraction is the only one getting a gt body the limitless is gonna be my speed bash/drag car with an infraction body and my Outcast 8s electronics. I picked up another limitless to swap my good electronics to and will run open wheel for now. Crashing sucks but it's part of this game we play.

I got a little too close to the curb where sand like to accumulate..that and cold roads, hoons instead of foams, 8s, and I probably pinned the throttle because I start to run out of road. I try not to...lol. I'm also running thicker fluid in the rear diff and the front looser. I probably need thicker in the front and lighten up the rear fluid. I have the rear open to let air out. maybe a limitless wing added for stability and a little more downforce on the rear. my first high center of gravity slash 4x4 speed run car used to skate sideways at the rear from one tire spooling up because I had thin oil in the diff. After I thickened it up it would run straight. I'm not totally sure why the Felony did that but maybe a combination of factors. It sound like you had a rough go of it with the crashes as well..sorry to hear that brother. You have a good plan to mix up the cars a bit. Have a few for all out speed and a few to drag and play with. I hate putting all the chips on the table and risk it all for a high number but at the end of the day the car doesn't feel special to me unless it's been pushed to the limit...hahaha. Then I can look at it on the shelf and it means something to me. Even if it sits there in pieces at least I tried. I just need to be a little more cautious about it. I don't get to go out speed running very often(maybe once every 2 weeks) so I need to make it count...lol. 😄 And like you say the crashing is part of game we play. When I watched the footage and heard all the bangs in the distance I had to laugh...😂

Plus it was only 3 degrees C out so the tires were cold. I will try again in the spring unless we get some warm days but I kinda doubt it.

Agreed that body is unstable for high speeds..the rear wheel wells catch too much air. Yeah I swapped the diff front and back for Typhon gears(13/43) to make 3.30 diff ratios like on a Limitless. I damaged the original rear tire hitting a curb on my first parking lot bash and rear tires weren't available yet. Plus I wanted same size tires all around. I did put M2C wider rear Hex's on to bring the rear wheels out a little to fill the wheel wells out.

Yeah too cold here in Toronto now to speed run. I'm glad I ended the season with a 132Mph PB on my Slash. I was bummed about crashing it a week earlier. And I do have some BSR purple foams and will probably be running those more next season...140 and 150 are just around the corner. I will try and get some clean 120 runs on the Felony body and then probably switch to a GT body.

@@PadrinoRc ahhh faaak! Sorry brother. You can bend all that stuff back except shocks. I know people will say it won’t run straight but unless the chassis has big dents I would straighten it. After you rebuild it you will have to go slow and dial it in again. The speed run game seems like 1 step forward and 2 steps back...lol. But you will slowly get faster. It can be very disheartening when a crash happens but you will keep pushing forwards.
This lock down got me bored, my plan is to buy an X01, Rewire the motors using electronic magnets, incorporate lithium batteries (iPhone) to harvest the energy generated from the centripetal force , have my relatives build me a customed Gemera shell, along with patented tyres. (>Military-grade) Then build my circuit board to include the rest of the iPhone. (SIM for true remote capabilities, (WiFi/etc) plus an advanced camera system for security/entertainment) Could also buy a DJI to track it long distance while exploring from the comfort of my home... If you connect a PC fan to an LED and blow into it, the bulb will light, just need to figure out a way to store the energy and I'll have a permanent 'Bodyguard Drone' for my Gemera. (Plus no battery changes required, ever) Could even take it a step further and have Apple supply/fund me, cause I'll be developing apps aswell and with the new AR technologies the possibilities are now endless.
Hey I have a question I just brought the 4050 3150kv tp motor I blew two castle 1717 1650kv motor I had a 20 gear but running 8s can u bash with 8s because I don’t understand why I blew the motor if the gear wasn’t high
The 4050CM 3200kv motor is rated for 6s max. I took a chance and did a few passes on 8s. I don't recommend this at all. Its way too high a kv for 8s and even for 6s on such tall speed run gearing. It seems to handle 1 speed run pass with cooling. To be honest it better to use a lower kv motor and just gear it up more for speed runs. A lower kv motor will have more torque needed to push through the wind and turn those tall gears.
Warming it up wouldnt have mattered that much at that speed the steering has to be set to a negative aka low power so it corrects in very small amounts at high speed.... When you tried to steer it back it over-corrected and rolled it
Just saw this. I do have the steering exponential down so in the middle of the steering travel there is a very small amount of travel so you can't over correct. I probably went outside the exponential and then the steering cranked to the left. But I think it was going to do a flip either way because the rear end came out sideways. Next time I will turn the steering rate down and use exponential.

Nice! ..the 150C SMC's are awesome. I was running 34/34 gearing here. I pinned the throttle I think as it went by me which is part of the reason it lost traction. It was cold out as well and I think one tire may have spun up faster on the rear. Another thing...that 3200KV motor isn't rated for 8s. I don't recommend doing it. I wont do it again. Get a TP 4050 2300KV motor which according to their site can handle 8s. Or a Castle 1717 is a good choice and run overdrive a little like 36/34 gears.

The CM motor have slightly higher performance. Also the CM's use thinner motor mount screws I'm not sure why. One thing that didn't impress me on TP motors is that the end bell anodizing went inside the motor mount screw holes and I ended up snapping a screw mounting the motor. You need to tap the screw hole to clean it or before you mount the motor I recomend putting the screws in and out in increments to clean the holes of anodizing. 2300kv CM motor can handle 8s just watch your motor temps and gearing. Gearing for drag racing would be different than for speed runs.

Yeah I thought it was BIG damage for sure. I ended up with body scratches(no cracks even) and the front bumper bent up. That's 191 Kph!! hahaha. My God. You see how my hands are shaking before and after a run?
Yes you could do it but not with the stock Esc and motor. You need a motor that can handle 8s. It would be better to run 6s and change the center diff to a spool and run a 34T spur gear.

I think it stands for Competition Motor. They are slightly stronger, can handle more voltage and can handle higher RPM. But they don't have any warranty. So a motor of the same size and KV if it's a CM motor will be faster and stronger in theory. One weird thing is the mounting bolts on the CM motors are smaller. You would think they would be bigger. Either way they seem to be very good motors. I overpowered mine big time and they seem to be fine still...hahaha. 🙏😅
I feel for u man but that’s wat happens wen u do a 100mph speed run on a regular street.. I would of located a btr wide open parking lot for that.. it gets expensive.. but at least mission accomplished.. 119mph.. impressive!

What I could have done is just swapped the diffs(with ring gear) front to rear and left diff input gears alone. This gives you exactly 3.00 diff ratios front and rear...lol. I did it the hard way and swapped both diff ring gears and input gears for 13/43 gears to make 3.30 diff ratios. All this so I could run same size Hoons all around.
Yeah I did. I had same diff ratios front and rear. I got a clean 114mph just before this run. I got my slash to 132Mph recently too. Finally in the 130 club...hahaha.

Hahaha...don't get a Max6. I ran it on 6s with a 2200kv motor and it was ok for doing a few passes at a time. I ran it probably 10 times. But for bashing that's kind of a high kv motor. Not saying you cant use it you can but don't run it on 8s. Run it on 6s and use a smaller pinion. The max 6 is only rated for 1500kv motors on 6s. I tend to not read the specs and fried my Max6...too bad it was a good esc. I would say for that motor get a Castle Mamba Monster X8s esc to be safe. Are you bashing or trying speed runs?

You need to get a stronger ESC like the Castle MMX8s and run either a Castle 1717 or a TP Power 4070 motor. Plus you need the Limitless Spool instead of the center diff.
My next rc will be an arrma. I purchased a DHK Maximus from banggood and for a zombie 8e instead. That’s what I get for buying from the Chinese. Lesson learned
Well in all fairness Arrma's are made in china too...lol. But yeah not a Chinese company. I have a lot of Arrma's and I have never got a bad one. But mine are all 6s cars. The Typhon is a good deal and it jumps amazing. The Kraton is also awesome. I'm also a fan of the Traxxas Max and Xmaxx. You can't go wrong with any Arrma or Traxxas products. Lots of parts support available too. That's very important.

Whats crazy is thats a 6s motor. But u running 8s on it. That dont pose potential problems??? Just curious cause I run 8s too. And have been contemplating getting a tp motor. But I want it to ba an 8s motor...but I don't want to have to do extra modifications to make an 8s one fit. So is that why everyone's using a 6s to run 8s.
What do you mean extra modifications to make an 8s one fit? You mean flipping the motor mount and running a longer motor? TP does make a 4050CM motor like the one I used(in size that will mount in the stock location) that is rated for 8s but it's 2300kv. I'm definitely risking cooking this motor and I don't recommend anyone else try it. The 2300kv CM motor is rated for 8s and has the same watts and max rpm rating. I was just trying to get as much speed as I could get. I probably won't run 8s on this motor anymore. I was also running 6s on my 5s rated motor. One pass then let cool for at least 20-30 min.

TP4070CM 2200kv on 8s same Batts and ESC with cap packs and external Bec geared 34/34 is a starter recipe to be in the 140+ range with no issue and more room to gear

I was accelerating still..lol. Yeah it hooked left hard but I think the rear end slid out first. I don't know why. It was pretty cold like 40 or 39 degrees. Maybe I punched the throttle too hard there and the power started the wheels spinning. Also maybe not enough downforce on the rear end. I have thicker fluid in the rear diff and front but the rear is thicker. Running a center spool. Air could be reacting to the back of the car in a weird way. I have the piece out of the center back end of the body so it's open but the rear wheel wells could be acting with some parachute affect. I'm thinking I need the GT body pretty soon. And yeah it sucks to be up here in the wintry north eh brother....definitely trying to get out as much as I can. Five months of waiting for spring so we can get the RC's out...hahaha 🤦♂️😖

I totally agree with the rear of the body causing a parachute effect. When you get A GT body on there you can cut out the back and let out trapped air like you said. TP is TP Power motor. It's a brand of motor. CM is the line of motors. They have regular line of motors and this CM line. The CM motor are a little stronger.
You jumped on it to early and we're to excited you definitely should have warmed up with a 6s separate pack from what you were running still a newbie I guess take advice practice warm-ups

Damit..I hate to hear that brother. Are you sure it's melted? After this run I ran on 6s and my motor stopped working like it was fried. It was like one of the three motor wires wasnt connected. I had fried a cheap motor before and this is the way it acted but that motor was cooked for sure. I could smell it. So on this TP I was bummed outand went home. 2 days later I cut the thick shrink tubing off my motor wire extensions and the bullet connectors I shrink tubed over were actually melted. Not just the solder but the actual bullet was melted! so that's why it was acting like it fried. Are you sure you cooked yours and it's not a connector?
@@KaizerTest yea the problem I’m having is u can spin the pinion gear and the motor spins with 0 resistance.. u know how torquey tp motors feel where they click very strong as u turn it.. this has none of that now
@@Djreversal My motor may not be 100 percent either. It runs and revs high still but feels a little less torquey. I did notice that. I have to run it to see still.

I hate putting all the chips on the table and risk it all for a high number but at the end of the day the car doesn't feel special to me unless it's been pushed to the limit...hahaha. Then I can look at it on the shelf and it means something to me. Even if it sits there in pieces at least I tried. I just need to be a little more cautious about it.
I don't get to go out speed running very often(maybe once every 2 weeks) so I need to make it count...lol. 😄 And like you say the crashing is part of game we play. When I watched the footage and heard all the bangs in the distance I had to laugh...😂

Thanks brother...with the stock body too...hahaha. Im trying to see how far I can push that Felony body. I think I may have over corrected the steering but the 8s power probably spun the wheels too. Plus it was only 3 degrees C out so the tires were cold. I will try again in the spring unless we get some warm days but I kinda doubt it.

Agreed that body is unstable for high speeds..the rear wheel wells catch too much air. Yeah I swapped the diff front and back for Typhon gears(13/43) to make 3.30 diff ratios like on a Limitless. I damaged the original rear tire hitting a curb on my first parking lot bash and rear tires weren't available yet. Plus I wanted same size tires all around. I did put M2C wider rear Hex's on to bring the rear wheels out a little to fill the wheel wells out.
I did get a clean 114Mph out of her on 6s just before this run. No Crash.

I will try and get some clean 120 runs on the Felony body and then probably switch to a GT body.

@@PadrinoRc ahhh faaak! Sorry brother. You can bend all that stuff back except shocks. I know people will say it won’t run straight but unless the chassis has big dents I would straighten it. After you rebuild it you will have to go slow and dial it in again. The speed run game seems like 1 step forward and 2 steps back...lol. But you will slowly get faster. It can be very disheartening when a crash happens but you will keep pushing forwards.
This lock down got me bored, my plan is to buy an X01,
Rewire the motors using electronic magnets, incorporate lithium batteries (iPhone) to harvest the energy generated from the centripetal force , have my relatives build me a customed Gemera shell, along with patented tyres. (>Military-grade)
Then build my circuit board to include the rest of the iPhone. (SIM for true remote capabilities, (WiFi/etc) plus an advanced camera system for security/entertainment)
Could also buy a DJI to track it long distance while exploring from the comfort of my home...
If you connect a PC fan to an LED and blow into it, the bulb will light, just need to figure out a way to store the energy and I'll have a permanent 'Bodyguard Drone' for my Gemera.

Could even take it a step further and have Apple supply/fund me, cause I'll be developing apps aswell and with the new AR technologies the possibilities are now endless.

Hey I have a question I just brought the 4050 3150kv tp motor I blew two castle 1717 1650kv motor I had a 20 gear but running 8s can u bash with 8s because I don’t understand why I blew the motor if the gear wasn’t high
The 4050CM 3200kv motor is rated for 6s max. I took a chance and did a few passes on 8s. I don't recommend this at all. Its way too high a kv for 8s and even for 6s on such tall speed run gearing. It seems to handle 1 speed run pass with cooling. To be honest it better to use a lower kv motor and just gear it up more for speed runs. A lower kv motor will have more torque needed to push through the wind and turn those tall gears.
Warming it up wouldnt have mattered that much at that speed the steering has to be set to a negative aka low power so it corrects in very small amounts at high speed.... When you tried to steer it back it over-corrected and rolled it
Just saw this. I do have the steering exponential down so in the middle of the steering travel there is a very small amount of travel so you can't over correct. I probably went outside the exponential and then the steering cranked to the left. But I think it was going to do a flip either way because the rear end came out sideways. Next time I will turn the steering rate down and use exponential.

Nice! ..the 150C SMC's are awesome. I was running 34/34 gearing here. I pinned the throttle I think as it went by me which is part of the reason it lost traction. It was cold out as well and I think one tire may have spun up faster on the rear. Another thing...that 3200KV motor isn't rated for 8s. I don't recommend doing it. I wont do it again. Get a TP 4050 2300KV motor which according to their site can handle 8s. Or a Castle 1717 is a good choice and run overdrive a little like 36/34 gears.

Would this be a good setup in my Felony for drag and plus speed runs also what’s the difference between none cm and cm Great video. I was thinking the Tp 2300kv motor 8s and the same castle esc you have you think that would be good?
The CM motor have slightly higher performance. Also the CM's use thinner motor mount screws I'm not sure why. One thing that didn't impress me on TP motors is that the end bell anodizing went inside the motor mount screw holes and I ended up snapping a screw mounting the motor. You need to tap the screw hole to clean it or before you mount the motor I recomend putting the screws in and out in increments to clean the holes of anodizing. 2300kv CM motor can handle 8s just watch your motor temps and gearing. Gearing for drag racing would be different than for speed runs.

Yeah I thought it was BIG damage for sure. I ended up with body scratches(no cracks even) and the front bumper bent up. I took the front end off and examines the chassis and it's still straight.😅 I really dodged a bullet on that one. I'm absolutely amazed that's all that happened from 119Mph crash! That's 191 Kph!! hahaha. My God. You see how my hands are shaking before and after a run?

Yes you could do it but not with the stock Esc and motor. You need a motor that can handle 8s. It would be better to run 6s and change the center diff to a spool and run a 34T spur gear.

Whats the difference between no cm on the motor
I think it stands for Competition Motor. They are slightly stronger, can handle more voltage and can handle higher RPM. But they don't have any warranty. So a motor of the same size and KV if it's a CM motor will be faster and stronger in theory. One weird thing is the mounting bolts on the CM motors are smaller. You would think they would be bigger. Either way they seem to be very good motors. I overpowered mine big time and they seem to be fine still...hahaha. 🙏😅

So, did you change the rear diff out?
What I could have done is just swapped the diffs(with ring gear) front to rear and left diff input gears alone. This gives you exactly 3.00 diff ratios front and rear...lol. I did it the hard way and swapped both diff ring gears and input gears for 13/43 gears to make 3.30 diff ratios. All this so I could run same size Hoons all around.

Hahaha...don't get a Max6. I ran it on 6s with a 2200kv motor and it was ok for doing a few passes at a time. I ran it probably 10 times. But for bashing that's kind of a high kv motor. Not saying you cant use it you can but don't run it on 8s. Run it on 6s and use a smaller pinion. The max 6 is only rated for 1500kv motors on 6s. I tend to not read the specs and fried my Max6...too bad it was a good esc. I would say for that motor get a Castle Mamba Monster X8s esc to be safe. Are you bashing or trying speed runs?

You need to get a stronger ESC like the Castle MMX8s and run either a Castle 1717 or a TP Power 4070 motor. Plus you need the Limitless Spool instead of the center diff.
You can do about 90mph with the stock system and running the speed pinion. Only do one or two passes and then let the motor cool.

Well in all fairness Arrma's are made in china too...lol. But yeah not a Chinese company. I have a lot of Arrma's and I have never got a bad one. But mine are all 6s cars. The Typhon is a good deal and it jumps amazing. The Kraton is also awesome. I'm also a fan of the Traxxas Max and Xmaxx. You can't go wrong with any Arrma or Traxxas products. Lots of parts support available too. That's very important.

It was two 6s in parallel for a total of 6s. I believe it was a 36t pinion and 34 spur.

What do you mean extra modifications to make an 8s one fit? You mean flipping the motor mount and running a longer motor? TP does make a 4050CM motor like the one I used(in size that will mount in the stock location) that is rated for 8s but it's 2300kv. I'm definitely risking cooking this motor and I don't recommend anyone else try it. The 2300kv CM motor is rated for 8s and has the same watts and max rpm rating. I was just trying to get as much speed as I could get. I probably won't run 8s on this motor anymore. I was also running 6s on my 5s rated motor. One pass then let cool for at least 20-30 min.

TP4070CM 2200kv on 8s same Batts and ESC with cap packs and external Bec geared 34/34 is a starter recipe to be in the 140+ range with no issue and more room to gear

Yep its gettin cold here too in Michigan. I see you have been busy gettin in as many passes as possible before winter hits.
I was accelerating still..lol. Yeah it hooked left hard but I think the rear end slid out first. I don't know why. It was pretty cold like 40 or 39 degrees. Maybe I punched the throttle too hard there and the power started the wheels spinning. Also maybe not enough downforce on the rear end. I have thicker fluid in the rear diff and front but the rear is thicker. Running a center spool. Air could be reacting to the back of the car in a weird way. I have the piece out of the center back end of the body so it's open but the rear wheel wells could be acting with some parachute affect. I'm thinking I need the GT body pretty soon. And yeah it sucks to be up here in the wintry north eh brother....definitely trying to get out as much as I can. Five months of waiting for spring so we can get the RC's out...hahaha 🤦♂️😖

TP is TP Power motor. It's a brand of motor. CM is the line of motors. They have regular line of motors and this CM line. The CM motor are a little stronger.

Damit..I hate to hear that brother. Are you sure it's melted? After this run I ran on 6s and my motor stopped working like it was fried. It was like one of the three motor wires wasnt connected. I had fried a cheap motor before and this is the way it acted but that motor was cooked for sure. I could smell it. So on this TP I was bummed outand went home. 2 days later I cut the thick shrink tubing off my motor wire extensions and the bullet connectors I shrink tubed over were actually melted. Not just the solder but the actual bullet was melted! so that's why it was acting like it fried. Are you sure you cooked yours and it's not a connector?
@@KaizerTest yea the problem I’m having is u can spin the pinion gear and the motor spins with 0 resistance.. u know how torquey tp motors feel where they click very strong as u turn it.. this has none of that now
