@@franciscosoria9229 I didn't understand how it was possible for a game to inflict such emotional pain on me. And I still get damp eyes. Whoa.

Could you imagine the feels if they added voice acting just for the ending in a remake? Imagine actually hearing your character telling your partner the truth and telling them to move on for their sake, imagine hearing your partner break down in tears onto bidoof.
But then wouldn’t that kinda remove the fact that the player is literally you but as a pokémon because their voice would sound very different to yours?
If you play the game this scene will destroy you. You bring out the absolute best in your partent and you guys stick together through thick and thin with absolute trust in eachother. Saying goodbye to somebody like thay would destroy me.
Shout out to the realest MVP Grovyle. Loved you like your partner did and sacrificed himself for everything. Wish he came back to since couldn't have done it without him
If they remake this into the switch i WILL buy it no question! But srsly, i just wanna share some pep talk... Few years ago... I was a pikachu and my Partner was a Riolu named Zen. After playing PMD blue rescue team i thought PMDEoS wouldn't have a better ending. But boy PMDEoS was WAY better than i expected! I had to cry for a couple of minutes reflecting about how much i loved it. The characters, the story everything was amazing. Sure the gameplay needs more work but its worth it for the story. This game really made a big impact to me and my childhood. So if you haven't played it i suggest you do!
Bless you Gwyn I know exactly what you mean. Pokemon Blue Rescue was my OG and it absolutely nailed it for me, wasn't expecting it and I wasn't expecting EOS to find a way to make that impact it harder. But it did it and then some.... more heart than any game I've ever played.
Man… I miss when Pokémon games had love put into them. I’ll admit, this ending feels very bittersweet and makes the player feel strong emotions towards their partner, but I love video games that manage to take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Hopefully another Pokémon game with the same charm or a remake of Explorers of Sky comes out soon…
Why does you and your Riolu have to be named Jordan too?! I’m getting sad again because my Riolu was also named Jordan and I felt like a piece of my soul was ripped after he disappeared! 😭😭
Im amazed at how a game that i have very little experience with can make me break down crying at just the ending scene. I also feel like I have a hard time feeling emotional letting alone breaking down so props to the developers!
I was also an Eevee and my partner was Vulpix. Ugh, this ending always makes me cry and this music is such a banger too. Whoever created the story and music for this game deserves a a medal for creating one of the best stories and games in the whole of Pokemon. This may of been the best pokemon game of my childhood. Not to mention the first game I played that actually made me cry. Why can’t pokemon ever have story telling like this in current days? This is the best game in the series I ever played besides colosseum
I was just thinking about this. It's deus ex machina, so why do we all love it, myself included? Two reasons, I think. 1. We want the result the magical interference gives, so we readily accept it. Between the main game and Special Episode 5, Dialga's actions have so many implications that make him, and the moment, awesome. 2. It's not really deus ex machina, because it's kinda logical. Dialga with the Time Gears and his sanity is basically the god of time. Why didn't he fix anything earlier in the game? He didn't have the gears or his sanity. From a writing perspective I think it is so smart to have a godlike entity that is temporarily mad but not irredeemable. As soon as the heroes get them back, amazing moments like this become possible and feel earned.
I just beat this game today and tbh I should’ve recorded the cutscenes, especially this one. This’ll be a great alternative though because I’m a riolu and my partner is an eevee just like in this video.
After years of putting it aside, I finally played EoS and finished the main story yesterday. Man, what an awesome game! It's the kind game I don't think modern Nintendo would try to do again for the sake of being too different from the main franchise. Like, the DS era was full of these spinoff games that legitimately gave so much charm to the Pokemom universe, even if many of them weren't popular. Nowadays, making a game like this (remakes aside) could be considered too risky and not catch the attention of the higher-ups. I'll rest for a while, but I'm definitely excited for the post-game.
To me, the Explorers games had the *second* saddest ending. As someone who has played through each PMD game, I’ve gotten accustomed to the whole “the player is enveloped in light and has to leave” theme. When I played through PSMD, I was in for a surprise, and you might be able to guess what happens. This kick in the gut plot twist easily puts Super’s ending above Explorers for me. Don’t get me wrong, EoTDS had a depressing ending, but with your Partner’s quotes in Super, it’s hard to not feel miserable there.
Hmm, maybe I need to beat super. Itd the only 1 I havent finished. I did gates to infinity, but the friend system in super really ruined a lot of the game for me. I prefer hunting for allies the old fashion way rather than just unlocking them through social media.
