I went to the London show of this tour!! Such a great night 🤘🤘🤘🤘
That's super cool, alway great to see someone going to their first metal concert!
Nothing beats the energy of a great metal concert.
It's crazy how different crowds will be from concert to concert. Some will be absolutely on fire for all the bands the entire time with a Non-Stop mosh pit for the entire show. Other times you'll have crowds they're basically just standing there taking videos with their phone the whole time 😑.
That's super odd regarding the schedule... I've been to probably 30+ concerts and at least in the US the problem is always the opposite, they're ALWAYS starting late.
Looking forwards to hearing about your next experience 🤘
Nice outfits ya both looked great!
Thank you so much 😊
The bassist for Dragonforce is Alicia Vigil, she has a band called Vigil of War, check out her song Bite the Bullet sometime
u go girl you are doing a great checkout new sensation by inxs cheers mate
So glad that you had fun, I'm seeing Dragonforce in concert next week in the US! They are my absolute favorite band, and it's my first time to see them! Did you have any favorite songs that Dragonforce played?
Fun Fact, I visited the same concert but in Leipzig in February. My first metal concert as well :D
It was such a blast.
So cool!!
I've seen Dragonforce 6 times (I believe)... twice w/ original singer Z.P. Theart. First time was w/ Italian heavyweights Lacuna Coil in 2006... then, Killswitch Engage... W/ current singer Marc Hudson, saw his first tour w/ Dragonforce in 2012... Twice opened for Kamelot... and then headlined a club. I recall that they drink beer like crazy and rip on the guitars... 🤘🤘
Amaranthe... seen them 3 times, but not since singer Jake E. left the band... Saw their first US tour in 2013... then opening for Within Temptation in 2014... and then headline in 2015, where I met the band including singer Elize Ryd 🤘🤘 and they signed my CD.
For future concerts... I recommend wearing ear plugs to protect ur ears from the volume (U can get ringing in the ears if exposed too long) and adjust so them so that u can hear the band perfectly.
Mosh pits can get wild, but if u stay around the edges of the pit, u don't have to get in 😂 I've seen girls half my size throw down w/ the big guys in the pits at Slayer and The Black Dahlia Murder shows... Be wary when pits open up.
My first metal concert was Ozzfest '99 and it was an all-day event... Black Sabbath headlined 🤘🤘 I remember the first band I saw live was Swedish all-female metal band Drain STH (They were phenomenal! Unfortunately, they broke up after only 2 albums - 'Horror wrestling' and 'Freaks of nature') ... and I got to see Slipknot... Static-X ... System of a Down... Deftones... Primus... Rob Zombie ... Fear Factory... all on 1 bill that day!!!
My first club show was seeing DIO in 2000 on the 'Magica' tour... Imagine seeing the legendary Ronnie James Dio 🤘🤘 singing 15 feet away from u... Just unbelievable! The bill was w/ Swedish guitar legend Yngwie J. Malmsteen... and German female metal icon Doro.
I listened to Dragonforce back around the turn of the century, but fell out of the habit of listening to them in a few years. They do seem to have a rather different lineup now, I should try them again. Amaranthe, I discovered around 2013 with 'The Nexus', and Infected Rain I started listening to in 2022. The latter two bands have both released new albums this year already, and I especially love the new Infected Rain album.
I'll have to admit, I showed up nearly an hour late for Kamelot in 2019, and I didn't even realize I was late until I got them. I blame my lack of sleep on that. So I missed some of Battle Beast's set.
My only experience from inside a mosh pit was during an Epica concert in 2014. During one song, the band started the circle signal, and my brother and I, standing in the middle of the tiny venue, were going 'Oh crap, let us out of the middle, we're a bit old for this!' We're not tiny, but have a tall, mainly thin build. (aside from the extra weight in the middle) Not used to being jostled.
Dragonforce is still Herman Li and Sam Totman (guitars)... they were the band since day 1. The singer now is Marc Hudson... w/ drummer Gee Anzalone and bassist Alicia Vigil... (They never replaced keyboardist Vadim Pruzhanov... bassist Frederic Leclercq left to join Kreator... original singer Z.P. Theart was out of the band in 2009)
Amaranthe is still Elize, Olof, Morten & Johan... Nils Molin replaced Jake E. on clean vocals... Mikael Sehlin joined recently on harsh vocals.
It is not a good mosh pit if you dont have some small injuries afterwards.
Saw them in Wiesbaden and had a meet & greet with Infected Rain. Awesome experience :) Glad you had fun ^^
Thank you 😊
Hello there hey there
Looks like a great show. Glad you had a good time 🇦🇺🤘
Thank you 😊
Yeah, I got caught in the middle of a mosh pit in Irvine, CA (I think) on Ozzy's 1st farewell tour, and I lasted almost as long as you did. I'm not big, but not too small. (5'9", 160-ish lbs). I got outta there fast. Only had to move 30' or so. Just get out of the mosh pit area and you should be fine... at least from what I witnessed/experienced.
Finalmente ti ho sentita parlare in italiano!! 😅😊
Haha si 😊
Brava!
I wish there was a time machine and I could take you back and go to some shows like Godflesh, Nocturnus and Napalm Death. Or Vio-lence and Testament. Or Death and Dark Angel. Or Overkill and Megadeth. Something like that. Those were the glory days.
Same happened to me with Powerwolf headlining a concert with 4 bands in 2012. They started 2 hours earlier than on the concert ticket. So I missed the first band and just joined the 2nd band in the middle of their set.🤓🤔👎
I wonder why that happens 🥲
Reaction by hope for humanity band please 🥺
