    If you already had an action figure that was wearing a shirt and tie, would you file or sand down the tie/collars if you wanted to replace it with a clay to make a long sleeve t-shirt?

    I read somewhere that spray paint can become tacky and not dry properly over polymer clay. It seems your primer had no problems, do you use a specific kind?

    Do u bake or it’s air dry ?

    I noticed you didnt bake your clay.
    Will your clay hold its shape for a long time even though you didn't bake it?

    • @Adrianaisjawsome
      @Adrianaisjawsome Рік тому +1

      Clay is definitely baked. You can see him using sandpaper and drilling and dremeling into it, you wouldn’t get far with Sculpey and those tools if not baked.

      @@Adrianaisjawsome do you know if the clay would hold its shape if using that kind of clay and not bakeing?

    • @Adrianaisjawsome
      @Adrianaisjawsome Рік тому

      @@justinkramer1073 you can manipulate it for as long as you want (I have some stuff that is years old that I haven’t cured yet) but you do run the risk of your piece getting ruined since it’s still very malleable. It is best to bake it when you’re finished. Look into a wax clay, like Monster Clay, for something that will hold long term and never cure but can still be reworked. Wax based clays hold shape better as that’s what they’re meant for and will generally lose shape when exposed to heat.

    What clay do you use?

    Hey question if you put polymer clay right over the action figure rather than doing the pieces separately would it be safe to bake?

    • @EvilRoyStudio
      @EvilRoyStudio  2 роки тому +1

      Hello, the action figure that i got is made out of rubber so it will melt if i bake it. I guess it depends on the figure that you have. I'm not sure if there are figure that can withstand such heat :)

    • @Brickerbrack
      @Brickerbrack 2 роки тому

      I'd say it depends very much on what the base figure is made from, and you'd probably want to test it first if you can (like if you remove any parts from the figure, try baking one of those first).
      From using a 3D pen and printer, I know that most ABS plastics melt in the 200 Celsius range; PLA slightly lower, more like 180+.
      Polymer clay, meanwhile, bakes at relatively very low temperatures, like 100-120 degrees Celsius, so _most_ plastics should be able to handle that just fine.
