Thank you so much! You were kind enough to post this while many of us would have just fixed it and gone about their project. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to do this.

aI concur - great video! I got it tangled in old electric fencing and figured it was ruined but thanks to your instructions it is back in operation. Thank you!

Just what I needed! I got a metal line wrapped around the axle and thought I might have to replace the whole trimmer. Your step-by-step video gave me the confidence to disassemble my trimmer and fix it myself. Thank you!

About the only thing to say is that many screws are hard to see.....and make unscrewing the halves very very difficult but that's not your fault. I'm glad you posted this. If this helps anyone, I counted 12 screws (a 13th for the one that positions the guide wheel)....I hope I'm accurate.

Bro thank you so much. You helped me for my first every disassembling and reassembling my first electric trimmer. Had a fence wire hidden in the grass that tangled my trimmer

Thank you. I had the same issue on a slightly different B&D trimmer. Success!

This was SUPER helpful. I got this 2nd hand for free knowing it wouldn't turn. Took forever to find a video of this model so thank you for making it! The only thing I wish I could've seen where you took all the torx bolts from. I missed the 2 bottom ones closest to where the string goes. I couldn't see them because the holes were filled with hardened gunk. I thought i counted the number of bolts you took out but I guess I missed 2. I tore the casing up trying to pry it apart. SMH. Just waiting on a t15 extender to finish up.

I had the exact same issue. I honestly believe some came with 2 extra screws because I also counted the screws he removed

Just what I needed. Thanks. Unfortunately, mine was not fixable. The plastic gear fused itself to the housing so I junked it. A new one without battery is only $48 so....

Where did you get the new one without battery? Thanks!

@@mart66 Apparently, I didn't. The company's web site is still up and they're still taking orders, but they don't respond to email and their phone is disconnected. Found the Amazon one for $109 with a battery. Calling my credit card company to put a hold on the purchase.

Can you post a video on installing one of those metal ‘derusting weeding wheels’ on that same style of weed wacker that is in this video? I can send a picture if you’re willing. The thing is supposed to fit any style weed wacker, & came with no instructions or anything

Mine is having an issue where the housing refuses to separate. Perhaps its part of the jam. Maybe age has bound the two together.

Lame here ✋ After I've cleaned the guard, etc., can I wipe the guard w/ Armor All to protect the plastic?

I have the same need and it looks like this weed eater just won't accept brush blades. No way to take off the line spindle
