    THANK YOU SO MUCH.

    Built it today. It was porpoising during the flight and I could not stabilize it with nose weights or elevator adjustments. I decided to decrease the wing incidence/angle of attack. I removed the wing and trimmed the fuselage to drop the leading edge of the wing by about 3mm. Flies wonderfully now (and leaves a little step to locate the leading edge of the wing). CG is under the wing at about 25mm from the leading edge. Neat design!

      Practice flying with a RC flight sim on a computer a lot before you actually fly anything (some of the sims are free and good enough for learning muscle memory!). Much less crashing and rebuilding as a result. Some of the newer beginner planes help you fly them with built in gyroscopes and self-stabilizing electronics. Again, less crashing which is good at the beginning.

    Um so if I add a small rudder slightly pointing to the left on the vertical stabilizer, will the glider fly straight. I also was thinking if I should add 2 ailerons on either sides of the Center wing to help the glider produce lift, but I was hesitant to do so because I thought it will add too much weight. Also should I curve the edge of the wings for better lift? Please respond to this comment to help me.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    • @FuadPhenomenon
      @FuadPhenomenon  4 місяці тому

      Hello! For sure, small rudder can help your plane adjust the direction. Typically two flap under your aileron can help achieve some lift and also allow ur plane to fly slowly. Do experiment with these control surfaces by using tape (so ur not gluing permanently) since its easier to remove the tape if needed. In addition, curving the leading edge might allow better flying characteristic because the wind wont hit a hard edge. Good luck!

  • @godly_gameplay344

    I have a question, how do I make a glider that maintains a leveled flight, and fies a decent distance as-well. What should I add to my glider to make it fly straight because the problem with my glider is that it turns left or right, and it doesn’t fly a decent distance aswell. Note: I am making this glider by hand and by now I have made this same glider 3 times, but it still has the same problem.

    • @FuadPhenomenon
      @FuadPhenomenon  4 місяці тому

      To fix the right/left problem, try adding a rudder. Typically if u want it to fly greater distance, the nose weight can be increased given that u throw with more power. Furthermore, ur wings should have a smooth airfoil shape for best lift and glide results. All the best!

    • @godly_gameplay344
      @godly_gameplay344 4 місяці тому

      @@FuadPhenomenon ok so today I tried to build it again and did it but now it’s not even gliding properly, like the only adjustment I made was I added a foam square under the Center wing and I added a extended upward curve part to the side wings. The glider just goes up like 2 inches and crashes back down nose first.

    • @FuadPhenomenon

      Great question! I have not worked with balsa planes before (certainly one of my future projects!) but I can say that the foam is typically lighter, cheaper and easier to fix but I predict the flight characteristic shouldn't be much different

      Heyy, so it might be that the torque of the motor revs cause the plane to dive down. Perhaps a smaller motor with lesser vibration could solve the issue. Another cause could be if the motor isn't properly mounted to ur plane, for why the vibrations occur
