My opinion about the dosamula cittas don't have ditthi in its components is that the characteristic of ditthi is 'holding/grasping', that is why the ditthi-cetasika is grouped with lobhamula, while aversion's characteristic is 'repelling' and that is perhaps why the abhidhamma doesn't put the ditthi in domanassa cittas.
The delusion is ever present due to pamada, the sensory delay, inherent in sensory phenomena in all realms of conditioned existence. To be conditioned is not as ot happens, yatha bhutha, as it is a reflection in the conciousness. Unless one understands through vipassana insight to cut through the conditioned phenomena, to understand this, it always prevail.
Ignorence thecroot cause of not knowing the way things are, reality as in the non conditioned realm, which is not born, without the delay that occurs, when manifested in the sensory realm, including in the conciousness. This can only be understood as any other manifestation in the mind will make it fall into the conditioned realm, as it becomes born in the ' world' of the mind, in aggregate nature. The delusion , moha is like a veil that covers this knowledge of the reality, that needs to be removed by understanding the dhamma , through vipassana and developing bhavanamaya panna, instead of chinthamaya ( perception based) panna that arises from thought realm, cognitive introspection/ inquiry that all the knowledge is based on normally.
