It continued to show new notifications connected to Wi-Fi but wouldn’t let me Face ID unlock or slide unlock. This helped so much. Whew thought I was going to be out my iPad that isn’t even 18 months old. Thanks so much. Btw when I used Siri and asked how to force restart you were the first Google website it gave me.
FANTASTIC- Apple support could not explain that even on a phone call. I had just bought a new iPad Pro 11, did the full set up. All was running great. It has the most awkward close down ever and all because of Siri occupying the power button when the device is turned on. Thanks to you my iPad is now functioning and the software updates installed. 5 stars buddy 😄

Omfg you solved the issues I had been trying to figure out for like 20 minutes straight😭 my whole iPad screen had frozen and I couldn’t press any buttons, when I tried to do a force re set I was doing it wrong so ofc it wasn’t working, then I had to finally look up a tutorial on my IPhone and THEN I did it correctly and it worked again😭 TYSM❤
At first, it did not want to. I did it so many times and nothing. I did give it space-time in between and still nothing. I ended up going into my phone and took myself off of a group chat that was connected on my phone and Ipad. I was thinking it was maybe too much that was going on and so I waited another 5-10 min and I went ahead and did it again and FINALLY, it worked. Thanks and I hope this helps out someone else.
Holy shit. I got the iPad Air 5 and this just happened to me when I tried to unlock the screen it just went dark. I press the power button, nothing. Plug in the charger, nothing. As soon as I press the button combination the screen lights up. This saves a lot of time as I was prepared to go to the Apple store just to do this lol. Thank you so much!

I have no touch screen suddenly after using garage band app. I can't get out of that screen. I can put it to sleep and use my login but that is it. I try the force restart and all I get is the swipe to shut down logo. I keep holding on and nothing. I have 3rd Feb iPad pro. Aside from running the battery down I don't think it will restart.
