    • Forged Carbon Fiber - ...
In this video you can see and hear the sound of carbon fiber breaking under high stress. I've put a plate of VARTM, resin infused carbon fiber under high stress in the hydrolic press with a microphone close to it.

OMFG, this is HORRENDOUS. I can't imagine sitting in that tube, listening to this terrible cracking echoing loudly throughout, and then an alarm sounds, indicating delamination and before you can even take a last gasp, the submersible implodes generating heat equaling the surface of the sun and you're vaporized faster than the brain can process pain.
This is a tragedy, as well as an avoidable disaster, from every way you look at it.

The makers of DSV Limiting Factor, a very recent submersible, tested their titanium hull in Russia, at the pressure equivalent of what the hull would face at 40000 feet, deeper than the Mariana Trench, that it was made to travel to. Meanwhile, that blithering idiot of OceanGate didn't even bother sending an unmanned sub made of carbon fibre, to check for tears and damages and all. So much for an "expermental vessel".

I never would've thought it sounded like glass. The people on board the Titan had asked to come back up, they knew and heard something was very wrong and like I said yesterday, it's literally like holding a ticking time bomb in your hands but you don't know when the submersible will explode (or implode in this case, a negative explosion). Obviously, it released a big amount of energy and when there's energy, there's lots of heat so I highly doubt we'll find any body parts of these 5 poor people. Rest in Peace🙏 On a personal point of view, the CEO, who was on board the Titan had a reckless, arrogant, blind attitude regarding the safety of his submersible which wasn't even certified by the way. He willingly put the lives of 4 people in danger and, must I add, all the other passengers who were on board the previous expeditions knowing that this is an unforgivable environment. They all had, in some ways, the grace of God sitting on their shoulders. without a doubt!!
