    Absolutely BRILLIANT match, played in a wonderful spirit with fantastic sportsmanship and graciousness displayed by Asal at the end after a tough loss. Completely the opposite of Gohar the other day. Squash at its finest. Thank you guys!

    What a match! What a result!! So glad that Hesham is really starting to perform more consistently on the very high level that he's capable of. He's given us so many gems throughout the years but mixed amazing stuff with "less amazing" stuff. But now...wow!!

    I hope the rest of the match was approximately this clean! Sometimes the highlights don't capture that... Tremendous resilience from Hesham both mentally and physically - many players including him have been overwhelmed by powerhouses like Asal in the later games. Feels like Hesham has both matured and put in some serious fitness work.

    Hesham is playing some absolutely incredible squash lately! He's matured so much as a player, and has improved his fitness a ton. But still has the skill and confidence to go for unbelievable winners. Well deserved victory!

    It's so nice to see Hesham REALLY wanting it so badly. I feel it has always been just that what was stopping him from being top 5. Just this willingness to grind and bite to the very last second. With this level of determination he can beat them all.

    Fair play to Asal, he seems to have matured and is so much better. He needs to keep his fire that he seemed to get a bit from being controversial so needs to keep that competitive edge but glad to see a cleaner Asal.

    Asal really is lifeless now that he's not cheating/playing his style of squash. Wins some great points but zero celebration. It's like they've put him on a behaviour dampening drug.
    Wicked shots be hesham, good win!

    Very clean squash from both these players-as expected: I have always held out hope for Asal’s game to mature. That said, there are a few other players with more far more progress to go in terms of blocking coming off their shots. I’m glad Asal is keeping things in perspective and hope he keeps his head. Strength is best expressed through composure and grace. As for Hesham-he’s quite an asset for squash-and his ranking never seems to fit his sublime skill.

    • @emmanuelchirinosp

      @@us-Bahn Diego is not that old and, as Farag, Coll and Gaultier demonstrated,
      You can play even better after 30, especially when Diego aspires to the Olympic Games.
      We will also have to see how the future promises as Zakaria, including Asal's younger brother.

    • @us-Bahn
      @us-Bahn 7 місяців тому

      @@emmanuelchirinosp check out the ages of the men’s top 20. No one is near Asal, except Crouin at 24. But he’s too small to win a major.
      You’ll be watching Asal hold the cups high for years & years, my friend. Enjoy!

    • @Orbituation
      @Orbituation 7 місяців тому

      Did anyone expect Coll to reach world number 1 when he appeared in 2015? I believe both him and Farag started almost the same time, I would have expected Farag to reach world number 1, but Coll ended up having the biggest success against Farag's gameplay in recent time. I think Asal will have an incredible career, but I don't think it will be as you expect, some players improve and others have to figure out how to evolve to keep up with the competition.

      @@tourdetor I'm just Reading Hesham's celebration as the result of the win of a great quality and tensed match (the bonus is being against Asal)
      But yeah, you can't make people change mind in just few matches. Generally, you're like "I notice your New fresh efforts, nice, keep working on this".
      There are nuances between hate and pure respect.
