Why I need this: I started working in broadcast radio in 1991. I LOVED getting on the air! But, I got out of it in large part because of how the entire industry changed. The music is all pre-selected, there are more commercials than music, and most DJs these days sound like amateuir hour. It's been a dream of mine to get back on the air by making my own low-power radio station that sounds the way I remember radio sounding back then. I already started recording some station imaging bits (bumpers, stagers, sweepers, etc.) A box like this could make my dream come true!
It's awesome you can do this! I've been following your channel for a while now and love your stuff. I’ve been looking at these and have been waiting to purchase one, $$. I'm a ham radio operator, CERT member and was a 1LT with the State Guard until 2 years ago. I live in a community that is 80% elderly. Safety and security are big concerns. I hope to rebroadcast emergency police and ham broadcasts during times of crises with response instructions as well as news and information about what's really going on in our country that is not shared on local news. Keep the great programming coming!
Hahaha I love what you said about part 15 rules. I am a coordinator for Cycle Toronto and we would use this for group rides multiple times a year. We have rented/borrowed equipment in the past, and what we do is one person transmits the music using a device like this, and the people carrying sound systems are hooked up to silent disco headsets to receive and broadcast the sound. If you want to see what I am talking about, youtube Neon Riders or Bike Party Toronto videos. If we won, some members would definitely upload videos of this and tag you so you can see how youve helped us.
Outstanding! If blessed with being chosen as the winner of this giveaway I would use this radio as a community station for news and information. As a radio enthusiast… CB, Ham etc. I can leverage my hobby to keep those in the area informed during an emergency. Good luck everyone!
If I was chosen as winner of this, I would give it to my brother, a wounded Afghanistan Vet, he lives on the edge of a retirement community and though he is much younger than the retirees ,though he is in a wheelchair due to loss if his right leg and wounds that will not hea, the community enjoyed his small radio shows during and after the pandemic. During the pandemic they had all gotten FMS style radios to keep in touch and after some timing issues and a few hiccups, they had daily " Radio shows" my brother ( living on the edge of the community) joined in and became a hit with his comedy and combination news stories of the day. He has burned through several small units and with him only receiving a small disability pension this would help not only with his finances but help keep his morale and the retiree's morale up also! Thank you for the opportunity and enjoy your shows and insights on equipment ( your trips to hamfests) and reflections.l
I'm disabled trying to start a small business and would like to start community radio station like the old Trading Post where people can call in and sale stuff. Get up to date activities, weather, and help Vets find resources in the Community. Good luck to the winner and everyone trying to Win.
Wow, As a Sr. Citizen and grandma 😊, I could use this in case of an emergency but it's also a good way to start reaching out to the other Srs that live about 3/4 mile away in the community and our neighborhood. (If it will reach that far?). It's been two years since we lost power here in a snow storm and it was 4 days before I could get power back on, too many trees down and our road closed. Thankfully, I had my solar battery banks (now outdated badly, the most powerful one will do 1,000 watts) and after 4 days they were on their last leg, needing sunshine pretty bad, but we made it. The Retekess sounds like it would be wonderful entry level for me to use to start sending out encouraging words to my other Sr. Friends and a good way of contact for me to keep in touch. I have considered CB and have been very tempted by your broadcasts over the last two years. (use to have one many years ago, but it's long gone) and then also have attempted the Ham course that was offered here at a local church, but I found it too complicated for me. Too many electrical things to memorize. So for beginners, maybe you have a better recommendation, but I think this will be a wonderful way to reach out and even if it to read some stories or play a little music, but mostly read stories and give updates on the local weather expectations for our road, etc. Cost is a factor quite often when it comes to getting started with everything also. Currently, I have an old TV antenna still on my roof, and I also have a smaller antenna on the post of my deck. (still works). I don't use them except in an emergency because the range limits what I can get for tv, but usually I can get one channel or another when the weather is right. I think going FM might be the answer for starters. Thanks for listening. Keep the good info coming. I know I don't comment, but I listen and watch your broadcast often. Have a great day. 📻 💻💡🎤📖📡? BTW the Sr's Living area is down hill and I'm up hill higher then they are. Do you think it would work?
Honestly..I can't think of a good reason why I would need this. But I think it's cool to think of the possibilities of something I didn't know existed ..which I'm doing this very minute ! Good luck everyone ! And thanks for offering to do the giveaway on this !
My senior community can benefit from local information that our bigger stations just don't cover; traffic, power grid and internet failures to name a few. I loved your suggestion of going solar powered at a remote location. Thanks for offering this terrific product, the TR 509 FM Radio Station by Reteckess! Good luck, everyone!
I got my nieces (7 and 9) one of those 160-in-1 electronics kits and they loved the AM transmitter, but it barely worked. They would love this so they could set up a station for themselves and the other kids in their townhomes.
Great channel. You always have very interesting content. I live in a small lakeside community with a large number of retirees we are hours away from the nearest metropolitan area. I’m a ham operator and I’m equipped to receive information from all sorts of different sources. However , I have no way of relaying any information to the public. A broadcast station like this could be a huge asset to communities like mine in times of disaster.
How fun is that! Back in early 1990s my girl friend was involved in a local pirate radio station that broadcast hipster music to the area around UNCA. The signal reached out less than one mile. There was a group of around 25 friends that would keep a schedule and provide 24 hour music programming. It was just each person, taking turns, playing their CD collection from a 10-disk changer CD player, 24 hours a day. I am pretty sure that my own personal tastes in music are not universally shared. If you gave me that radio, I would install it in my barn and run a microphone out to where my cows are. Then all the mooing and bawling and fart noises would be broadcast out at 0.5 watts and I would keep the FM radio in my tractor tuned to my own farm station! Farm life!
My wife just started a new job as a music teacher at a christian school and she loves to play inspirational and calming piano music for the students at the beginning and end of the day as well as the lunch period. This would be a perfect unit to be able to broadcast music to the classrooms and cafeteria area.
Very cool, Erik! I'm not currently looking for an FM transmitter, but I'm still waiting to build up enough fun money for my base station radio. I have the A99 & LMR400, almost there! 😊
I would use it to rock my block with rock from the 50's all the way to modern day rock. A big varity of music for my community. And who ever wins this, congrats to you. 😎👍📻🎶🎶🎶🎶
Hello , I’m 14 and have been into radios for about 3 years and watching your videos for 2 . I’m in the process of upgrading my Ham shack if you can all it that and would love this for it. I built my own with a raspberry pi however the signal won’t leave my room. If I had this I would broadcast weather forecasts to my neighborhood as I live in a red flood zone in flordia( hurricanes.) as well as unbias world news due to the fact that I’m 14 with no political affiliation. I don’t expect to win and even if I don’t I hope y’all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this comment.
This is awesome- I love that you are young and have an interest of radios and such. You must be pretty smart to be able to program the raspberry pi- Good Luck
I've had one of these for a couple of years and it works good. I had to return the first one because it had a loud hum no matter what I did. A good antenna will improve its range by quite a bit so be careful.
I’d love to just be able to broadcast to my older neighbors who aren’t savvy enough to keep up with the internet and cell phones for local weather and traffic info that I keep myself connected to. This would save some time and money in that little endeavor. Love the new intro. Keep up the great content.
For once I can thank youtube for recommending a new channel to me instead of going "why is this in my feed" lol. I'd love to have one of these. Back in the dark ages of 2004-5 I ran a small pirate station (three blocks of coverage woo!) out of a modified iPod transmitter. I'd been considering getting another as we have a large homeless population living on the edge of my neighborhood. Most of the neighborhood has been up in arms about it, but they do tend to keep to themselves. Every time I go by there I hear a few radios going, clearly listening to FM instead of streaming services or pre-recorded, and if there's one audience that could definitely use weather updates, local events, that sort of thing I'm positive it's them. We're one of those weird "small towns, but a whole bunch of them right beside each other" areas and getting the word out on where services are available can be kind of hard. And if you don't let me win, I'll buy one and tell everyone I won anyway and you can't stop me. 🤣
I had to laugh at this because when I scroll through my UA-cam feed, I saw that all the time- " What the heck is this, I have zero interest in watching that", good luck to you
I teach a high school sports broadcasting class in rural West Virginia. I would love to have this setup for games at the stadium and gym so my students could actually broadcast on the radio. We practice at games but no one can hear them but me on the headphones. This would be great to let the fans hear our awesome students. We have no budget. I volunteer my time and the kids do this for the love of sports. Many are those who can no longer play for various reasons. Thank you!
I am a retired law enforcement officer, soloseniorfemale traveler. i travel around the US and often organize meet ups with like minded travelers. This FM unit would be a wonder tool for me during my travels and at the meet ups to keep in touch with attendees. Thanks 😊
It would be nice to try broadcasting something small like that radio just to learn more about the hobby and possibly try something other than just cb or ham. Thanks Erik you and Jenn are awesome.
My grandson has just gotten into radio in all areas and is running a station at his high school, he loves radio and electronics that go with them not only would he love this but so would I it’s so nice to finally see him love doing something and keeps his interest and wanting to do more not together personal but it has been a life saver for him for sure
Beings I live in Kansas I could be out early in the mornings during bad weather to give live updates on road conditions in my school district to help parents make decisions on their children’s safety. JD Hester, retired police officer and SRO supervisor.
Those are some great reasons- Where we live the weather can be different 10 miles down the road. It might be snowing like crazy here and 10 miles down the road, it will be sunny with 0 snow. Good luck
This would be a great addition to the neighborhood watch program to keep our local community informed on news, events, classifieds, lost pets, safety issues etc. Our neighbor has local bands play regularly and itd be cool to share that with our community as well. Promote local artists, food shares, farmers market...the possibilities are endless.
Hey! I’d love to be able to run a personal station from me and my grandpa. We make music together, and I know our family + friends would just love to get some live broadcasts. Perhaps some jam sessions, some stuff of us working on songs, all that goodness. Love your channel, keep up the great work! You’ve inspired me greatly to get more and more into the world of radio. From CB to maybe even my own little FM station. Can’t wait to see what happens! Slight edit after watching: I live very close to our local school district. Very rural type of place, having this little setup to broadcast road conditions and delays would be awesome! May be able to get some connections with the local Eagles and VFW to have their own notices broadcast as well
Radio has been a hobby since I was a kid. I connected the TV roof top ant to to my FM radio as a child and I was hooked from then on. My aunt had a portable multi band shortwave radio. It was amazing to listen to BBC radio and radio Cuba! I live near a lake very popular for fishing. I would DJ music and talk. I have a home studio in my house so this thing would get a lot of use! Thanks in advance!
Not entering because I already have a similar one (the NIORFNIO), and like someone else said they want to do, I transmit to my neighborhood, but mostly I use it to transmit my little Rivendell-powered radio station around the house so my wife and I can have a 24x7 soundtrack. Good luck to everyone, whoever wins it, it'll be fun!
This would be great for my daughters high school, a great learning too in becoming broadcasters and techs. I have a broadcasting board and microphone that I can donate as well.. Great idea 👍
This would come in handy during an emergency situation to disseminate info to the community gathered from other sources including from Ham bands,SW etc. I worked as a DJ back in the 80s as well as voice over and commercials heard all over the country. What a great unit to have. Charlie B. N4IDJ 73
Daily folks around my area ask questions about current events because of my hobby, it would be convenient to narrow down time answering questions several times a day. The critters get anxious if im not timely.
I am a officer in a civil war reenacting unit and we do teach to schools and public events and to be able to broadcast to a large group and those that are handicapped and can't be on the battle field or out of the class room but can see events happening would be a huge enjoyment for people.
I'am retired living in a small community 3000 people , as a DJ back in my 20s I enjoyed radio an would like to announce local events that don't always get posted on social media , thanks for your kindness
I’d lose my mind for this tbh! I’m an underground musician, who knows many many other underground musicians. I would use this radio to play everyone’s music so they can get the listers they deserve. Some of this music is the best I’ve ever heard in my life. And nobody knows about them!! This would change that, and it sounds like a ton of fun. I want this sooo bad haha
Since I retired your channel has gotten me back into CB, shortwave, cooking spam again and maybe now operating my own radio station if I win and by the way when are you guys going to do a cooking video again, I think more people like those than what you think !
I would use this transmitter to provide a much-needed community radio station to my area. I would primarily use it to play music and emergency weather reports which would greatly benefit people who live in the range. I would also provide local news since local stories don’t get much coverage here.
I am a retired self-employed mobile DJ. I have the world's best music collection. I have developed a method of eliminating square waves from the original CDs & other sources, and enhancing the dynamic range. The process is called S.W.E.A.D.R.E. (Square Wave Elimination And Dynamic Range Enhancement) I like to make a single MP3 track of my favorite albums for my enjoyment. I also have over 600 hours of priceless Teachings of Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. In the tourist season, I plan on setting up my radio station on the beach of Lake Michigan here in Pentwater, MI. Please send the unit my way. I sure can use it and I can't afford to purchase any more equipment. Although I would like to get the money to buy that Choyong LC90!!! Keep up your great vids.
This would be a Game Changer!! Could use this to broadcast weather music to my neighbor hood! Also my could use this at the college for her employees and students!!! Thanks for all your videos!!!!
I'm trying to setup some comms for our neighborhood mutual aid/neighborhood watch group here in rural Florida. Most of the neighbors can't be bothered to get licensed on HAM or GMRS, but every single one of them owns an FM radio and could be convinced to tune in once a week for local info. Thanks for doing this!
I can see potential for this to be used in various emergency situations. I live in a fairly rural area and am the only person in my neighborhood with an interest in radio as a hobby. Given the weather-related emergency situations we have around here, such as ice storms, blizzards, microbursts, etc, that knock out power and comms 1-4 times a year, it's always me that gets knocks at the door asking for updates lol. I might just get one of these and make up some index cards to pass around to my neighbors with a station frequency and an update schedule on it to relay info I get from my scanners and various other radios lol. I love them all... lw, mw, sw, CB, MURS, GMRS, all the amateur bands, etc.
Hey Eric, remember “Pump Up The Volume” that was a great movie about a pirate radio station. Instead of a neighborhood Facebook page, I could have a neighborhood radio show, that would be cool. God Bless you Brother.
I handle the IT work for a group of local nursing home and assisted living centers. If I won this unit I would see if I could set it up to broadcast royalty free, old time radio and music at one of the facilities. Some of the residents just don't like to stream or use the Internet, plus there are times the Internet goes down. I think it would pretty nifty if I could make this work and the residents could simply use a radio to hear the music and shows from their youth, all without having to be online. If I could make this work, I'd move forward with doing it at all of their facilities and maybe even some others. Thanks!!
For years I have run a part 15 on both AM and FM running a Ramsey FM 25 B and a SSTRAN 3000 AM transmitter, the Ramsey finally decided it had enough of playing Classic rock and Metal when the audio IC chip failed, the AM is still chugging along with it's half mile coverage ( i live in a valley) the FM however had quite a bit more coverage at over a mile or so depending on where you were listening from and somehow that little 25 mW Ramsey did great on a clone of the Ramsey dipole. It would be great to put a more modern FM Transmitter on the air again. Thanks for all you do @Farpoint Farms and long live community radio.
That’s a really cool radio. I’ve been working on getting members of my local community on board with the idea of having a net. We’ve been focusing on GMRS and CB so far, but not everyone has purchased any radios that operate on those bands. But, everyone has an FM radio of some sort. I’m in central Georgia, and we’re lined up in the path so that hurricanes in the Gulf or the Atlantic are potential hazards to our power grid. I have a legit generator so I can stay on the air as long as I’m here and could broadcast information. On another note, that’s a pretty cool tabletop Zippo on the shelf!
I live offgrid so i will have no problem keeping power to this until. I would use it to tell those in the community of the truth I gather from other Real Ham Radio sources. Also I am a herbalist so I can give help for sickness and as a Minister I will be able to give faith to those in need.
Thanks for the videos! I would use the Retekess TR509 for my neighborhood which has very limited cell service. I would broadcast local events, and helpful information and relays during hurricanes or other civil emergencies. I would keep going and add a lot of filler, but less is more, so again thanks for the videos.
I missed the give away and brought one anyway. Right out of the box, it only took 5 minutes to set up (I set it to high) and was able to get a clear signal in the suburban neighborhood about 1/2 mile radius, and just over a mile poor signal on my car radio. Thats probably 5, 000 homes or so. I need to get a better understanding of the legalities, I bet you could get in trouble with this amazing little device.
I would use it to communicate local news and help keep folks in my area aware of what’s really going on. As a lot of our public safety agencies have went to radio encryption.
I would rebroadcast info wars during the afternoon when they're live. Then, for the other 21 hours of the day, I would play a continuous loop of Mahna-mahna from The Muppets.
I would set it up for emergency use. Could send out local real time info. Also working on increasing my Christmas lights to have music timed in and played over a FM system. We really appreciate what you do. Thank you.
I don't have a good radio but if I did it would mean I could stay in touch and help by being Aware of Local Emergencies in order to help when disaster strikes and be a part of my community as a first responder.
Hi, I'd run the station at the University of Idaho from our club W7UQ to play music and have occasional information and news updates to pass on to the students in the dormitories. We'd add an external antenna for greater range if necessary. 73 Thanks
Please enter me to win the fm radio station. I live in a small town farm community approximately 1 mile square. We currently use Facebook to communicate with each other about community things from things for sale, lost animals, emergency info, ext. This would be great for us to spread the word and play music for the people in the community. Thanks for your channel very interesting subjects especially radio content
I would love a radio station. I would start a talk radio station with the local community. Find out what’s going on in the neighborhood. That’s what I would do with the radio station if I was so lucky enough to win.
I am planning on retiring later this year. I am trying to get my daughter to put her cell phone down and get into the radio hobby with me. And have some fun with it with my friends great grand kids around the holidays and birthdays.
I remember the two drive ins where I grew up used something similar starting in the early 80’s, when they stopped using the old school speaker you hung on the inside of your window.
I would expand my Facebook ministry page to include a radio ministry for my community. The local Gospel radio station is expensive to go on the air for a 15-minute slot. This radio station would be much more cost-effective.
In truth I would throw one in my emp case and have it in inventory for shtf situations. Secondary options is to replace my PiZeroW PiFM portable pirate transmitter for parks or other outdoor activities.
I would love to use this to broadcast non-denominational Christian services and event announcements at remote campgrounds and RV resorts. Fewer campgrounds still allow religious services.
I would use it to run a radio station at my work for the guys in the shop and girls in the office. Our shop is a steel building and we're down in a valley so most reception is absolutely terrible.
I would love to have this item, unfortunately I can't afford one at this point so I can bring the truth and the patriotic American ideals to as many people as possible who have yet to wake up and don't realize that the country is collapsing.
I would love to use this to do an hour long broadcast daily in my apt complex community. We have 80 units here and over 130 people total with over 80% being over 50 years old . We can have update of goings on here on who may need help getting to the store or a ride to a dr. Appt. Someone that has a cooking or baking day at there appt. Or needs their windows cleaned or chores done. This would be perfect for that
Wow sooo cool with a unit like that I could really reach out and contact more of my locals to encourage them to join us on the cb’s . We have a smaller group but if I could use a unit like that I’d have much more of a chance to get the word out on FM and one day be able to get a serious group of radio operators together engaging in great conversations like the old days but with the new folks like myself. I’d absolutely love a toy like that. Fargo386 waiving a hand ! 👋
Would broadcast music from the 1960's along the lines of Siriusxm only without a subscription fee. Would also include emergency weather alerts when appropriate.
Still trying to set up a 55+ community radio station so I can put out what is going on in the community because some of the older folks do not use computers and also play music.
NOTE: I WOULD NEVER ASK YOU FOR MONEY OR TO CONTACT ME VIA AN APP. THOSE ARE SCAMMERS PRETENDING TO BE ME. NEVER RESPOND TO THOSE COMMENTS OR EMAILS.
Why I need this: I started working in broadcast radio in 1991. I LOVED getting on the air! But, I got out of it in large part because of how the entire industry changed. The music is all pre-selected, there are more commercials than music, and most DJs these days sound like amateuir hour.

Nice, you're doing this again. I won one of these from Eric a few years ago and have really enjoyed using it. Thanks again, Eric
No thank you for your continued support of the channel. The tomato seeds you sent made for some great plants with good yield

I would use it to rock my block with rock from the 50's all the way to modern day rock. A big varity of music for my community. And who ever wins this, congrats to you. 😎👍📻🎶🎶🎶🎶
Good Luck
Good stuff. I'd use a radio station to broadcast the truth we all know but aren't allowed to talk about.
That is a great reason
Which one?
You won't get out far.
Thanks for sharing that, it is good to know
I’d love to just be able to broadcast to my older neighbors who aren’t savvy enough to keep up with the internet and cell phones for local weather and traffic info that I keep myself connected to. This would save some time and money in that little endeavor.
Love the new intro. Keep up the great content.
Thank you and good luck
Thank you!
That is a great idea- Thank you for volunteering your time with the kids, that is something that will stay with them for life. Good Luck
I am a retired law enforcement officer, soloseniorfemale traveler. i travel around the US and often organize meet ups with like minded travelers. This FM unit would be a wonder tool for me during my travels and at the meet ups to keep in touch with attendees. Thanks 😊
Thanks for your service as a LEO- good luck
WOW. I would love to have one of those FM broadcast units. This would be great to use in our local C.E.R.N in the Northeast Georgia Mountains.
Good luck!
I would broadcast to my neighborhood my own station. Music, weather station emergency broadcasts. Thank you for sharing, love your content!
Good luck
It would be nice to try broadcasting something small like that radio just to learn more about the hobby and possibly try something other than just cb or ham. Thanks Erik you and Jenn are awesome.
Thank you, this would e=be a good way of getting into the hobby- Good Luck
My grandson has just gotten into radio in all areas and is running a station at his high school, he loves radio and electronics that go with them not only would he love this but so would I it’s so nice to finally see him love doing something and keeps his interest and wanting to do more not together personal but it has been a life saver for him for sure
Glad to hear that the local high schools are doing stuff like this- Good luck
That's a great idea!
May be able to get some connections with the local Eagles and VFW to have their own notices broadcast as well
That would be some great bonding time for you two. Good Luck
Good Luck
Not entering because I already have a similar one (the NIORFNIO), and like someone else said they want to do, I transmit to my neighborhood, but mostly I use it to transmit my little Rivendell-powered radio station around the house so my wife and I can have a 24x7 soundtrack. Good luck to everyone, whoever wins it, it'll be fun!
Glad to hear your already "On the air".
This would be great for my daughters high school, a great learning too in becoming broadcasters and techs. I have a broadcasting board and microphone that I can donate as well.. Great idea 👍
That is a cool idea- get the younger generations interested in this hobby
If I was lucky enough to get it I would teach a radio class to my daughters 4H group and let the kiddos hear thier own voice on a tiny radio 😊
That pretty cool, good luck
This would come in handy during an emergency situation to disseminate info to the community gathered from other sources including from Ham bands,SW etc. I worked as a DJ back in the 80s as well as voice over and commercials heard all over the country. What a great unit to have.

Good luck to you
Daily folks around my area ask questions about current events because of my hobby, it would be convenient to narrow down time answering questions several times a day. The critters get anxious if im not timely.
Good reasons, good luck to you
I teach and have a radio club at my local high school. This could get more students interested in radio.
Thank you for trying to get the younger generation interested
This is deserving 👍
@@FarpointFarms Thanks Erik. Love your videos.
@@AdoptedYooper Thank you!
I am a officer in a civil war reenacting unit and we do teach to schools and public events and to be able to broadcast to a large group and those that are handicapped and can't be on the battle field or out of the class room but can see events happening would be a huge enjoyment for people.
that sounds like a good idea- good luck
The way the country is headed reliable communications will remain keystone. TIA
Agreed 1000%!
I'am retired living in a small community 3000 people , as a DJ back in my 20s I enjoyed radio an would like to announce local events that don't always get posted on social media , thanks for your kindness
That would be cool- Good luck
I’d lose my mind for this tbh! I’m an underground musician, who knows many many other underground musicians. I would use this radio to play everyone’s music so they can get the listers they deserve. Some of this music is the best I’ve ever heard in my life. And nobody knows about them!! This would change that, and it sounds like a ton of fun. I want this sooo bad haha
That's the problem with commercial radio. The same crap played till the end of time. Good luck!
Since I retired your channel has gotten me back into CB, shortwave, cooking spam again and maybe now operating my own radio station if I win and by the way when are you guys going to do a cooking video again, I think more people like those than what you think !
I will have to see what we can on a video-
I would broadcast for the whole neighborhood and community pool, and to just listen to my own station
sounds like something I would do
I would use this transmitter to provide a much-needed community radio station to my area. I would primarily use it to play music and emergency weather reports which would greatly benefit people who live in the range. I would also provide local news since local stories don’t get much coverage here.
Good luck to you
I am a retired self-employed mobile DJ.
Thank you- that sounds impressive that you can make the music sound better. Good Luck to you
This would be a Game Changer!! Could use this to broadcast weather music to my neighbor hood! Also my could use this at the college for her employees and students!!! Thanks for all your videos!!!!
Thank you for your support- Good Luck
I'm trying to setup some comms for our neighborhood mutual aid/neighborhood watch group here in rural Florida. Most of the neighbors can't be bothered to get licensed on HAM or GMRS, but every single one of them owns an FM radio and could be convinced to tune in once a week for local info. Thanks for doing this!
This is really a need in Florida- There is always some thing going on there
I can see potential for this to be used in various emergency situations.
Some very good reason. Good luck
Hey Eric, remember “Pump Up The Volume” that was a great movie about a pirate radio station. Instead of a neighborhood Facebook page, I could have a neighborhood radio show, that would be cool. God Bless you Brother.
I watched that not too long ago, good movie
I handle the IT work for a group of local nursing home and assisted living centers. If I won this unit I would see if I could set it up to broadcast royalty free, old time radio and music at one of the facilities. Some of the residents just don't like to stream or use the Internet, plus there are times the Internet goes down. I think it would pretty nifty if I could make this work and the residents could simply use a radio to hear the music and shows from their youth, all without having to be online. If I could make this work, I'd move forward with doing it at all of their facilities and maybe even some others. Thanks!!
Good reason, good luck
I hope that you will get back on air again- Good Luck
Good luck and thanks for noticing it
I live offgrid so i will have no problem keeping power to this until. I would use it to tell those in the community of the truth I gather from other Real Ham Radio sources. Also I am a herbalist so I can give help for sickness and as a Minister I will be able to give faith to those in need.
Sounds like some great reasons, good luck to you
Thanks for the videos! I would use the Retekess TR509 for my neighborhood which has very limited cell service. I would broadcast local events, and helpful information and relays during hurricanes or other civil emergencies. I would keep going and add a lot of filler, but less is more, so again thanks for the videos.
Perfect use for this!
We need a radio station for all those in our area to have a more private way to comm between our homesteads. Thanks for your channel!
Thank you an good luck
I missed the give away and brought one anyway. Right out of the box, it only took 5 minutes to set up (I set it to high) and was able to get a clear signal in the suburban neighborhood about 1/2 mile radius, and just over a mile poor signal on my car radio. Thats probably 5, 000 homes or so. I need to get a better understanding of the legalities, I bet you could get in trouble with this amazing little device.
Just follow the rules and you will be fine.
This is great what you are doing. Hopefully, it gets used for a great purpose.
I hope so too
I would use it to communicate local news and help keep folks in my area aware of what’s really going on. As a lot of our public safety agencies have went to radio encryption.
Great reasons- Good luck to you
I would rebroadcast info wars during the afternoon when they're live. Then, for the other 21 hours of the day, I would play a continuous loop of Mahna-mahna from The Muppets.
That is free to air so you could. Good luck
I would set it up for emergency use.
Could send out local real time info.
Also working on increasing my Christmas lights to have music timed in and played over a FM system.
We really appreciate what you do.
Thank you.
How cool to do the Christmas lights
I don't have a good radio but if I did it would mean I could stay in touch and help by being Aware of Local Emergencies in order to help when disaster strikes and be a part of my community as a first responder.
Valid points- if the internet is down, radio is still going= Good Luck
Hi, I'd run the station at the University of Idaho from our club W7UQ to play music and have occasional information and news updates to pass on to the students in the dormitories. We'd add an external antenna for greater range if necessary. 73 Thanks
Good luck to you
simply to broadcast a local TRADIO SHOW ! thanks for the opportunity! blessings !
Good luck
IM ON THE 22ND FLOOR OF MY APT HERE IN MANHATTAN. THIS WOULD PERFORM WELL I BELIEVE FOR COMMUNITY RADIO.
That could reach a bunch of people- Good luck
Well I enjoy your radio content and your cb radio vids whoever the radio goes to I'm sure they will be very happy
Thanks!
Good luck to you all
I would love a radio station. I would start a talk radio station with the local community. Find out what’s going on in the neighborhood. That’s what I would do with the radio station if I was so lucky enough to win.
good luck
That would be perfect to broadcast my mp3 music as well as mix my police scanner audio for listening around the yard into my fm radio headset.
Good use!
I am planning on retiring later this year. I am trying to get my daughter to put her cell phone down and get into the radio hobby with me. And have some fun with it with my friends great grand kids around the holidays and birthdays.
Good luck! Enjoy your retirement. I somehow got sucked back into 2 full time jobs at 50, hoping to drop one over the summer.
I remember the two drive ins where I grew up used something similar starting in the early 80’s, when they stopped using the old school speaker you hung on the inside of your window.
Some theaters still do that near me
cool that you doing this to spark interest in hobby broadcasting.
That's the plan! I wish to hear local community radio stations during my daily drives.
Looks like a Good tool, to teach my kids. Plus alot of fun.
Good luck
I would expand my Facebook ministry page to include a radio ministry for my community. The local Gospel radio station is expensive to go on the air for a 15-minute slot. This radio station would be much more cost-effective.
Good luck to you
In truth I would throw one in my emp case and have it in inventory for shtf situations. Secondary options is to replace my PiZeroW PiFM portable pirate transmitter for parks or other outdoor activities.
Good luck
I'd use it at high-school football games to transmit the announcer to all the folks who sit in their cars to stay warm while watching the games.
good luck
I would love to use this to broadcast non-denominational Christian services and event announcements at remote campgrounds and RV resorts. Fewer campgrounds still allow religious services.
good use for it- Good Luck
I could see using this to broadcast information for my local American Legion Post.
Good luck to you
I’d love to win! I would provide positive energy to the community with songs and commentary.
Sounds good,
be perfect for my Off Grid Community, we all have Baofeng Radios so we all would be able to hear.
Good luck to you guys
Input a radio scanner so that the neighborhood can listen to local fire & law enforcement without the expense of buying a radio scanner.
Good luck
Good Luck Everyone !!!!!!
to you as well
I live in a very rural area which IMO is deprived of solid local news and quality music...it would be my dream to broadcast in a hyper-local way!
Sorry, this one was for last week. I am not sure what happened with the icon saying who won it.
I would use it to run a radio station at my work for the guys in the shop and girls in the office. Our shop is a steel building and we're down in a valley so most reception is absolutely terrible.
pretty cool idea, good luck
I would love to have this item, unfortunately I can't afford one at this point so I can bring the truth and the patriotic American ideals to as many people as possible who have yet to wake up and don't realize that the country is collapsing.
Good Luck-
I would love to use this to do an hour long broadcast daily in my apt complex community. We have 80 units here and over 130 people total with over 80% being over 50 years old . We can have update of goings on here on who may need help getting to the store or a ride to a dr. Appt. Someone that has a cooking or baking day at there appt. Or needs their windows cleaned or chores done. This would be perfect for that
What a great reason, good luck to you
In 2024,I would set up a radio station... play talk radio, music and live emergency broadcasting. Lol
Hope you are well!
Thank you and good luck
@@FarpointFarms thanks 📻
If I won the giveaway I would channel my inner Christian Slater and totally Pump up the volume 1990 style! 🎉
I love that movie- Good Luck
I'm tired of broadcasting on AM so I really need this
Fair enough!
I would broadcast in my very large trailer park community. Help out during emergencies and help with neighborhood watch.
good luck
Wow sooo cool with a unit like that I could really reach out and contact more of my locals to encourage them to join us on the cb’s . We have a smaller group but if I could use a unit like that I’d have much more of a chance to get the word out on FM and one day be able to get a serious group of radio operators together engaging in great conversations like the old days but with the new folks like myself. I’d absolutely love a toy like that. Fargo386 waiving a hand ! 👋
Very cool, good luck
This would be a great for information for the neighborhood announcements.
Good luck
Good video. Thanks fir the opportunity to win. 73
Good luck!
I had several of those over the years. Cool little transmitters.
Thanks for sharing
I would use it to broadcast a show for my cats and the cats in the neighborhood. My CB cat. Emergency use would be best for close community
This might be my favorite comment so far- Good Luck
Would broadcast music from the 1960's along the lines of Siriusxm only without a subscription fee. Would also include emergency weather alerts when appropriate.
good luck
Thanks@@FarpointFarms
Still trying to set up a 55+ community radio station so I can put out what is going on in the community because some of the older folks do not use computers and also play music.
Great point- it is good to keep the older community up to date on events- Good Luck
Having been let down by our local MP, and a local election soon, we need to broadcast a true people’s view of what we want
This wont do it
good luck
Im just leaving a comment to support the channel. I have no use for the transmitter but I sure hope someone wins that does. 👍
Thank you for your support
