- I was not able to get "Rockin Woodie" Setup with this station before things got hairy, so I mailed it, as well as the Panasonic CF-29 to him yesterday. I will try and see if its possible for him to film part 2 of this video if and when he is able to do so.
We live in interesting times. The ability to spread vital info is being restricted at every turn. LP-FM broadcasting is a great way to be a beacon for your community during the darkest of times. This little broadcaster is the perfect way to allow your voice to be heard!

Pretty neat. I saw that unit on Amazon a few years back. They sell different antenna options. I don’t have one. Didn’t want to be illegal. But it’s cool to see it. 73
I’m 16 and I want to start my own community radio channel and of course Im a broke teenager that doesn’t want to buy a license for a radio station so I have been looking into part 15s. Is this a part 15? And does this complete the set? All I need to do is plug a laptop and a mic in and I’m ready to go?
With this and a laptop you are running a radio station for sure! Add a mic to the other jack, and now your a DJ or news host as well. Enjoy it my man. Yes, this can be setup as a part 15, or with the power all the way up, far more range can be made.

I have the 15 watt NIORFNIO version. Bluetooth is such a sick option. I'm going to run my station off an Raspberry Pi Zero via bluetooth.

what range would it round about in a city with 100 feet buildings when this transmitter is on the street with this build-in miniantenna without the long cable ?
That's hard to say, but it would not be great. If you could get it setup on the roof and link to it with Bluetooth you'd be set!
Did you ever record a follow-up on this transmitter. I could not locate one.
I did have one, but You Tube made me take it down. There was a copyright problem with the music I had in it. That is why I really try not to have any music in my videos now
@@FarpointFarms UA-cam is goofy. With all the other recordings with music even full length concerts You Tube is worried about copyright nonsense.
He could build a better antenna than what it comes with it for better range, I'd recommend a dipole of sorts (vertical, horizontal, inverted V, J-pole).
I'm running a much lower power TX from my dorm room in Milwaukee and on the web, lots of fun and good for getting info out when the power went out last fall.
1 mile range with 100-200mW, horizontal dipole.
I find a ground plane to be most optimal for FM.

Been dreaming to create my own radio station and I didn't know this one can be this powerful... Actually the one at my work is the same but the brand is niorfnio..
These will get the job done really well. Add a better antenna and with 15 watts you'll get 10 to 18 miles in range. More than enough to cover a small town.

You simply hook a aux out cable to the mixer board and the rest of the system works off of that.

Depends on the area. In a flat area I hear 15 miles is possible.

Look for the fm antenna test. It has a range test.
I searched for that and a zillion results showed uo. Will take some time to locate your recording.

I read from the fcc that no legal transmitter is allowed to have a detachable antenna, so even if it's low power it's not allowed to have anything but a permanently attached antenna.
Am I wrong?
This transmitter is completely illegal to use in the US or any other jurisdiction of the FCC, detachable antenna or not. It is NOT a part 15 device. The FCC rules are very specific regarding unlicensed operation of equipment that can emit a signal on the FM broadcast band.

Does it transmit Japanese FM frequencies ?? (76 - 88 MHz) ?? Set this FM transmitter to any Japanese FM frequencies and you may receive on your US sold “TV Sound” radios (Eton FR400, etc..).
It broadcast 10km but the next morning,it just broadcast about 100meters

It's somehow transmitting on 3 diffent frequencies at sametime. I have it set to empty freq 91.1 and it's somehow transmitting also on 90.3 and 91.9. This transmitter may be causing too much interference and will most likely have to use something elss

Can you use this particular transmitter without buying an FCC license?
In its lowest setting it is FCC legal output power. Anything above that and it does require a FCC permit here in the USA.

I paid less than $100 for the thing with shipping. Far less than the $800 for my AM transmitter.

My understanding is that this is a FCC legal advise, I would contact your local authorities just to make sure it is so you don't get into any trouble.

this 15 watt fm transmitter does not get much range here in the uk got one on your advice only getting around a mile and thats that!!!!
Are you sure the SWR is set right? My buddy down in Raleigh is getting 7+ miles all day everyday and is thinking about upgrading to a larger antenna to go farther. Also, do you have the power cranked up to max?

We talked about it quite a bit, but he is committed to trying it out. They usually give one warning before laying the hammer down, so hopefully he will be alright. Heck right now I'm sure the FCC is preoccupied with.... Other issues.

This transmitter is garbage. Not sure what the problem is with it, but the 7-watt signal carried further than the 15-watt.
