im a junk journal rookie & i think you're the best creator to learn & take notes from! youre my favorite pass time. i love how much i learn from every single video. you're amazing, i love you soso much! with the right algorithm, i know you'd be noticed on a MUCH larger scale. & i hope that happens so that you can get the recognition you deserve! i know you're happy either way & that's another reason why i' adore you is bcuz you also teach me how to be humble..you're a very wonderful woman all the way around! bTW Alice in Wonderland is by far my fave. i think you should do an updated version of an Alice JJ in the style you use more these days & do a rookie give away ;) haha jk..have a good day, you're the very bestttttt. muah muahhhhh! ☺ ☺ ♥ ♥
I love that you leave in your struggles in your videos because it happens to us also. You show us how to overcome these things and get beautiful results after all! Thank you!!!
One of the things that I really love about your videos is you never shy away from sharing mistakes. That really makes the whole creation process more accessible. Thank you. This journal turned out beautifully! And it's so delightful, seeing how your ongoing love for the wild honey stain is impacting your collage work. I think it has an additional cohesive element to the entire book. Lovely work Barbara!
This is so gorgeous Barbara! Thank you for showing your mistakes and the solutions you come up with. What a generous give away. If I am lucky enough to win this, I would gift it to my niece. We are very close, but during the pandemic and due to health reasons I have had to self isolate and I have not seen her for about eight weeks. What makes it worse is that she lives only a few kilometres from me. We both can do with a little 'wonder' and magic right now!! Many years ago I worked in Hochsölden and she came to visit me there with her mom. Quite the journey for a South African toddler!! Austria will always have a special place in my heart ❤❤❤
Absolutely adorable little journal. Here is a little hint for cutting corners at angles. Take your off cut and stick it back on the corner before your stick down your edges. Gaps will not show that way. I saw Carol Tinson suggest that. I make my own covers all the time and was very happy for the hint. By the way, loved the way you strung the spine. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.❤️
Love this Journal, Alice is such a fun character for junkjournaling! Quirky and whimsical💝 By the way, thank you, for showing us your mistakes, so we do not have to make them 😉😁 the spine sure became really strong this way!! And it probably needs to be strong for this fun and easy binding method. Good luck to all the participants who want to win this 🥰
I am a HUGE Alice in wonderland fan! I have a teapot set, and I even dress up as the mad hatter for comic con 😉 a friend of mine took a book paper folding class so that when the book is closed it shows Alice 😍 it’s beautiful. This has to be my favorite project you’ve done so far Barbara 💕💕💕
Oh Sweetie, Your Alice is Incrediblely Adorable! 😍💜 I can't believe you're giving her away. One of us is gonna be soooo Lucky to have a creation from you! The trick with the candle looks amazing, I'm gonna try that. Thanks for sharing that and Double Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to own one of your Masterpieces. PRAYERS for Everyone's Health🙏 ❣️
Hello Barbara, I live in Australia and people here don't seem to be into this type of journaling as overseas. I have been watching your videos every evening. If I won your Alice in Wonderland journal I would show everyone I came into contact with. You have a truly unique style and I love your dedication that inspires us. Regardless, I will still be watching you. Jenny
Oh Barbara it's SO beautiful!!! And how sweet you are to share it! Your videos are the highlight of my week and I appreciate all you do for all of us!!🤗🤗🤗
Barbara, this was another great process video. Although I've been making journals for awhile now, the task of decorating the signatures has always been daunting! When you said 9 signatures, the creative side of my brain blew up! What I loved was your taking the ephemera and placing it, wherever! It never dawned on me to take the decorating as a totality, instead of methodically going page by page in order! Thanks for sharing! Guess an old dog can learn some new/old creative tricks. Happy Crafting!
This makes me want to make journals more than ever. The binding for the signatures is so simple, and I love the size. Alice in Wonderland was always a favorite, and I am wanting to do a Peter Rabbit themed journal. Goodbye plain old journals! I have always enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for making them.
💕👍😘 great job Barbara, always good to see someone make a book. So good that you show the mistakes too (I was watching on my TV and syaing: oh no, don't user paper it will crack.... 😮😂) because as you say, then no one has to make that one too. I love the theme and the binding method. Love, Maureen
Barbara, what a neat themed journal. So clever with everything you did. And really loved the binding. I will definitely be trying that. Oh gosh and thanks for the opportunity to win this journal. Fingers crossed it’s me! 😁 TFS as always! ❤️
I would not have minded at all if you made this video 2hrs long...or even longer!! It was so amazing and fun to watch you make this pretty book. The way you decorate each page is so thrilling...you take a small picture or stamp or ticket and turn it in to something so interesting. I also love to watch your lovely, expressive hands. :o)
Wow Barbara, love , love ❤️ your journal. You asked me what I was working on . I’m making a journal for my daughter Chantel . Thank you for sharing how to make a journal , that isn’t sewed in . You did a great job . I love your sense of humor . I laugh with you , when you say don’t make the mistakes that I make , ( make your own ) . Your videos are fun plus I learn something every time . Stay safe. 🥰 😍 🥰 love , Fern
Barbara, I can't tell you when I have been this excited about a themed journal! I love it. I plan to join the digital club in May and this will be my first journal. With all the theme choices on the site I can make every one in my family and my closest friends a journal that will make them smile and a big chunk of my Christmas gifts will be completed. 😁🎄🎁 I try to give a handmade gift and a purchased gift to my family every year. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with the world. 💕 Stay safe. Hugs.
I can still hear my father, now dead three years, reading Alice aloud to us. He adored the book and did the most wonderful voices for all of the characters. We would sit spellbound by the hour listening. I use Humpty Dumpty's treatise on poems as an actual handout when I teach poetry. Though utterly preposterous there is also wisdom in much of what he tells Alice. The book is gorgeous. I'm going to try that kind of binding method. So grateful, always, for your work. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
As always, another beautiful journal! Thank you for your honest vulnerability in showing your “mistakes”! The art of journaling and journal making is full of lessons! 💕
By the way, I just realized something funny. If you hadn't shown us the mistakes you made on this journal, I would definitely make hose same mistakes. Actually, I still think I would make the same mistakes either way. Lol
The most sturdyst spine in the world lol This no sew method is what I'm going to use in most of my journals Ive used the streachy headbands in a couple of them. I just used your spine, but I used the strechy headbands. I have to get one more for the last signature. The journals have to be the right size to use in these headbands
I've seen a lot of Alice in Wonderland journals but this is by far the most creative and combining it with my favorite Tim Holtz paper is perfect! Can't wait to try that method for no sew binding.
Barbara, I so enjoy your videos. All of your projects are special and this one is certainly no exception! I don’t often watch videos over 30 minutes but this one was so worth the extra time. I can’t wait to try the new binding method. Thank you for teaching it to us! And thank you for the giveaway! Hugs from the US!
Such a sweet journal, I love Alice since I was a little child. I love that you are showing us your mistakes ( so I don't think I'm the only one who make some) 😉
Dear Barbara, although Alice in Wonderland is not one of my favorite stories I must say this is a wonderful journal. I loved the part about what went wrong. Thanks so much. I hope I win one of your works.
I love the theme you chose "Alice in Wonderland" and the junk journal has your usual original touch! Thanks for sharing the whole process to make it happen!!
I have wanted to make a Alice in wonderland journal for a very long time but didn't know where to start or find materials. Thank you for providing both! I enjoy your videos very much. I have learned so much. Love your style. Maybe I will have one some day!
Oh Barbara we've all been there with the cracking paper. I feel TH paper are gorgeous but rather too thick to use this way. As for corners we won't go there ha ha I tend to use a fabric base first then glue papers on top but that's just my way.... So glad you sorted it out in the end. It does look wonderful, I so love Alice in Wonderland ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I will get round to making my own.... One day! 🐇🐰😊😊😊🌹🌹🌹
Good morning Barbara, as always you have come up with a beautiful creation..thanks for sharing your creativity with us and a very generous give away. 💕😊🇦🇺
Barbara, this is such a fun journal! I especially like the roughly torn edges on some of the ephemera and pockets. And how you used the honey stain behind some of the images. Adorable!
I love that you share your mistakes, we all make them and it makes it real 💜I love your binding method and the cute collage and tab Alice things and snip it roll belly bands you made. The quiz is an idea I am going to use in a future album! Alice for a win would be fabulous 😀
Another adorable journal! I love all the little details you added to make it so special. You’re so sweet to give it away after you spent all that time working on it. Good luck to everyone!
I would smile like the Cheshire Cat if I won this. What a nice little surprise. Loved your finished journal. So many good ideas. I thought including the puzzles was a fun touch.
I really enjoyed watching this hour long video - snacking on while watching your awesome creatively on how you used many different methods to use to create this beautiful journal. I really love Alice Wonderland since they are my favorite before I discovered your channel. Believe it or not, I have tons of ephemera of these...that I put in one big lock-in tote to store them...searching all over the internet for images...been fussy cutting them. I have about three Alice Wonderland journals I bought in last 2 years before I had the courage to create my first journal. I found several Alice Wonderland books...also the coloring books, playing cards, you can name it few. Seeing this video inspired me to start playing with it again...has been going on and off playing with my journals. I love those idea how you collage it. Best of all, it is going to be my big “wish list” to have it in my collection that was made from you along with your signature! Lol!
As always Barbara, enjoyed your video! I love that your not afraid to share your mistakes! The journal is beautiful and anyone would be happy to own it! Thank you for sharing your treasure with one of us!
In these latest time I feel in love Alice in Wonderland and I saw the journal in this theme. Now this is nice to see you make one of the easiest way of that journalling. I will use no sew method by learning from your videos. Thank you again for your polite explanation and kindness!❤
Wow, wow and wow!!! I was Sooooooo happy to see a llllloooonnnngggeeeeerrr video from you. Ive worked at Walt Disney World (in Florida) for 37 years and when I saw it was an Alice themed Journal, I was like this is awesome and I knew it would be beautiful, but then at the end to discover I maybe able to win this Journal, my day was complete (even though it’s 3:33 am here Tuesday morning, hey we’ve been Furloughed so I have no bed time now. I wish there were a love button on here. Your video just sooth the soul. Win or lose, we’re all winners once we discovered your channel. Thanks for sharing. Take care, keep filming and we will keep watching. Never worry about the video being to long!!! Thanks again,
Aaaaw, thank you sooo mich for your very kind comment! ☺️☺️☺️ you wish there was a love button AAAAW Good luck in the giveaway and thank you for supporting my channel! ❤️
What a lovely little journal Barbara, that is exactly the same binding I use for my no-sew journals, it really is simple and so effective. I love your little collages through the journal, they carry the theme from one original “Alice” kit page to another. Lovely work xx
Hi, Barbara, from California. Thank you for posting this. Love it! The spine cracking inside and out seems like a happy accident. The fabric fix...charming!
oh my, Barbara, this is one of your most beautiful works of art. i love all things paper but also all things children's books. I think Charlie/Chocolate Factory would be a good theme. I may give it a try.
Thank you for another inspiration. I really appreciate it very much. You have a unique style. Thanks for your Gateway. I'm dreaming about the Alice in Wonderland journal.
Thanks for answering but when I got to the end, I saw the giveaway... so my COMMENT is that this is a totally wonderful wonderland journal and Alice is one of my girls. Beautifully made. Thx so much. Jackie
I had to smile at your cracked spine and the way you solved it. I had exactly the same problem when I made my first journal, and fixed it pretty much the same way, using canvas instead of the no rip bag and covering it with fabric to hide the cracks. I wonder if soaking the paper with glycerine and water like Attic Lane does will stop that problem. I love the no sew spine, it's a great idea. A little dab of glue will stop it, the bow coming undone, something I have started to do. Well done it's a great journal.
I love it. That was very fun to watch, I watched it 3 times b/c every time I saw something that I had to write down in order to remember how to do (and not to do LOL) it in the future. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with me. ~ Bonnie
I love this journal! This journal shows a different side of your journal subject and I really love the whimsy. I do love your vintage style too. I realize this is a story from the 1800s making it an antique-vintage subject, but you know what I mean. I really do enjoy all the lovely images, and the use of origanal book pages. I hope you will do a few of theese type of journals every once in a while. Ps IIt seems to me,( and I could be wrong) that your last few videos have a different feel/content and I enjoy them because you changed it up, that being said please still show your page spreads and what you journal about. Thanks for being you! Stay safe and stay healthy!
Thanks so much Georgie! I really appreciate your feedback! I promise to always be authentic on this channel and I will keep showing whatever I’m into at that time. Currently I’m not feeling the “journal with me” sessions but will most likely get back to them at one point 😃
LOVE this journal! All the details are amazing, and the little surprise journal at the end is an added treasure! I appreciate that you show the process, challenges and all. I enjoy your channel very much!
Another beautiful journal Barbara! I love Alice in Wonderland, it's one of my favorite childhood stories. Thank you for the chance to win your amazing journal!
Thank you for sharing, I love your journal so much, Barbara. You make me laugh with your book cover ! Even you, you've made mistakes and the final result is so cute !!! It's georgous and really inspirant. Kisses from France, Coco.
Lovely. I appreciate that you leave in the things that didn't go as expected. It's helpful to see you overcome things like cracks. I look forward to each of your videos. TFS.
Oooo! What a fun Giveaway! My birthday is May 9th, so what a lovely surprise this might be lol I love the size of this journal. It’s perfect for quick journaling or even some collaging. Alice in Wonderland is such a fun theme! Thank you for sharing!
WOW the book is amazing!! I LOVE the theme you chose! I’m in love with Alice in Wonderland!! The video was so inspiring!! And thank you for the opportunity to win this amazing book 🎩🐰⏱🍄
Gorgeous, I'd love to win it! And thanks for the new sewing method, I can use that on a cover I made for an elastic binding that didn't work out. This is the perfect solution.
Ohhhh my god !!!! I love Alice !! I wanted to make an exclusive album on this topic !! I can not believe it ! its beautiful ! is that it's my favorite story thank you thank you
I just love Alice in Wonderland and been wanting to make one. Saw the title on the video and just had to see it. It turned out really cute and very inspiring. Thank you for sharing !
This turned out really cute, I love that you showed your mistakes and how you fixed them. I think I made the mistake of using paper on the inside of the first journal I ever made and I learned quickly you have to put fabric on the spine.
Liebe Barbara;hoff dir gehts gut!Ich liebe diese Journaling Technik und LIEBE Alice in Wonderland!♥ DANKE FÜR DEIN VIDEO,liebe deine tutorials!Bleib gesund, dicke Umarmungen deine Patricia♥
Very cute. You could try using some of the dry wall tape you have on the spine the next time you create a journal. I have used it and it holds up really well. TFS
I love Alice in Wonderland and I'm glad you shared how to bind a journal in such an easy way. Also thanks for the chance of getting such beautiful journal.
Oh my word, this turned out sweet. I always learn so much from your videos and appreciate all of the tips. Thanks for your generosity in sharing your talent and ideas.
Love your video! Thank you for not editing the mishaps! We learn so much and it's nice to know everyone has the same issues and more importantly how we recover from them! Thanks!
Wow, this journal is absolutely adorable! As I already said on Instagram, I'm a big fan of Alice, so I would really cherish this book! Thanks for showing us the 'mistakes' you made ... it was very recognisable, for I made exactly the same ones when I tried to make my first journal last year (paper and spines aren't the best of friends, I guess)! I am absolutely loving your binding method, can't wait to try it out! Thanks for giving us the chance to win!
So cute! You've inspired me to do something similar with my favorite book "The Phantom Tollbooth." I don't think there are many Tollbooth kits or anything, so I'll have to be creative. I especially love how you used pages from the actual book! Thanks for sharing!!!
im a junk journal rookie & i think you're the best creator to learn & take notes from! youre my favorite pass time. i love how much i learn from every single video. you're amazing, i love you soso much! with the right algorithm, i know you'd be noticed on a MUCH larger scale.
Oh wow! Thank you so much! So honored ❤️❤️❤️
I love that you leave in your struggles in your videos because it happens to us also. You show us how to overcome these things and get beautiful results after all! Thank you!!!

Thank you Riette! Fingers crossed for you and sending love from Austria! ❤️
❤❤❤
A delightful journal! I made one a year ago. So much fun! Gave it to a neice. She saw it and liked it.
Thanks for sharing that tip, Loretta! ❤️

Oh wow, what a fab giveaway. I love how this turned out, it’s absolutely gorgeous x
The most sturdyst spine in the world lol
This no sew method is what I'm going to use in most of my journals
Ive used the streachy headbands in a couple of them. I just used your spine, but I used the strechy headbands. I have to get one more for the last signature. The journals have to be the right size to use in these headbands

Barbara, I love the Alice in Wonderland Journal! This is my favorite.
oh my, Barbara, this is one of your most beautiful works of art. i love all things paper but also all things children's books. I think Charlie/Chocolate Factory would be a good theme. I may give it a try.
What a loving video, with fantastic and simple ideas Stay at home for crafts and health
Love the Alice in Wonderland theme. I especially like the no-sew binding! I am definitely going to try this.
Jackie
I am making an Alice in Wonderland journal
You video has encouraged me to be more creative
I live in Western Australia
Awesome! Have fun! 😃
~ Bonnie
I love alice in wonderland and they way you do videos makes it so easy to understand how to make things. Thank you
I appreciate that you showed us the mistakes and how to fix them. Great instructions. I’ve your videos.
Loved the journal. Alice In Wonderland is one of my favorite childhood stories. I like the no sew method for the signatures. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Barbara for ALL your videos!! Love them all.
Gorgeous, I'd love to win it! And thanks for the new sewing method, I can use that on a cover I made for an elastic binding that didn't work out. This is the perfect solution.

Fantastic!- I've never seen this kind of binding before- how fab -a no sew one! x
This turned out really cute, I love that you showed your mistakes and how you fixed them. I think I made the mistake of using paper on the inside of the first journal I ever made and I learned quickly you have to put fabric on the spine.
Also a lot of wonderful tips along the way, too. Just so beautiful.😍
this is one of my favorite Alice in wonderland journals. loved it. and like the way you showed us the new way of binding

Very cute. You could try using some of the dry wall tape you have on the spine the next time you create a journal. I have used it and it holds up really well. TFS

What a beautiful journal! Thank you for the chance to win it. There´s so much nice things tucked inside!
This is such a wonderful gesture. That took a lot of time to make. It is so amazing that you are doing this give away.
Wonder-ful Journal. I love your work and look forward to your videos. You always keep it real and I appreciate that.
I love it. I only resently started jounaling. I find myself refering back to your videos for inspiration.
Love love love this. I actually rewound back to watch the flip through again. Gorgeous work.
So cute! You've inspired me to do something similar with my favorite book "The Phantom Tollbooth." I don't think there are many Tollbooth kits or anything, so I'll have to be creative. I especially love how you used pages from the actual book! Thanks for sharing!!!
Fantastic video. Loved it. Gave me all kinds of ideas. I even took notes. Cant wait to do my own journal
Hello. What a wonderful journal. I love, love, love Alice in wonderland 🥰. Thank you for another amazing video 😃
