Thank you Barbara! I too love it when you film in real time. Seeing how you lay out and figure out what you like and or need in different spots is so helpful and I so enjoy your conversation along the way, whatever it is about. It feels like we are in one of your crafting get together parties! Thanks again dear Barbara, 😷🤗🥰❤️

I came here after Jo mentioned you as an inspiration in her videos and I am so glad that I found you.
After losing my daughter recently I had given up all hope and was just living by biding my time. Your videos have infused me with newfound love for life and creativity. I always blamed myself for letting my daughter down, not being there when she needed me the most but I guess I am finding peace in the fact that she is somewhere out there wanting me to live my life in best way I can. Your videos give a 60 year old lady a purpose and a hobby to live by. God Bless - Charlotte

You have no idea how much a part of my art life you are now. During this lockdown I come here to escape from the daily horror show and spend my time involved in your precise, magical, rational world. It has helped me immensely. Sometimes just the sound of your is enough to centre me. I have been in self isolation since February 2020 because of health problems. Thank you so much for adding such positive energy to my day to day being.

I enjoy hearing you explain your process as you work. Why you did or did not choose a certain paper or put it in a certain place helps me see options I may not have seen on my own.
I have watched others turn the master board over and cut it from the back. I think that would make it less “personal “ as you cut it if that makes sense. Then once it is cut, you forget what it looked like as a whole and just appreciate the uniqueness of each piece. Of course, you would copy or scan it first. I think it would be cool to then cut the copy again in a different way to see a whole new group of individual pieces emerge.

I am watching all the videos I can with collage in them to inspire myself for the piles I've been saving! So, thank you for slowing down and letting us watch your process. You have a very gentle voice and always interesting things to say. I feel like I can watch some, and collage some, then rewind if there's something I feel I missed seeing in your video. I like working with you by my side, Barbara. Thank you!

I want to take a moment to let you know how inspiring this video is . I’ve struggled with making master boards, in fact I had given up on making them, after having watched numerous tutorials and struggling with composition.
I’ve watched this at least 3 times and in the past 3 days I’ve successfully completed 10 master boards . It was all about shapes, rectangle and squares only and sticking with neutral . Thank you so much for all you do, I truly appreciate you and look forward to many more videos. 💙

I really enjoyed this video. I don’t think it’s superficial to treat yourself, especially since most of us are just trying to survive the pandemic. Self care is important.
Also, I have made master boards that I like and don’t want to cut up. What I do before I cut it up is scan it. That way I have a digital copy that I can print and use over and over again.

This was lovely! I love making mastervoards and watching others do it. I always see something new to adapt for my purposes. For instance, I must remember to cut a butterfly in half and add it the way you did. I have a box of butterfly die cuts remade and ready to go, so why don’t I use them more? I will now. Those calligraphy letters from the past were gorgeous thank you for being brave enough to use them! 😀. Your work is always a special treat. TFS. Enjoy your manicure. TFS I did. God bless and stay safe.

I’m so glad I found this video!! I’m fairly new to junk journaling and have never heard of master boarding, but absolutely LOVE it! One of the reasons I fell in love with junk journaling is the beauty in randomness and how things that aren’t necessarily pretty on its own can be paired with other things to make something beautiful!! Great video, thanks so much!!! I’m going to go look for one where you use the mixed media in with it. 😀😀😀😀- new fan/subbie

Love these. On my masterboards I mainly use paper that are misprints (I make many oopsies 🤔) and once I have finished mine, I turn it over and cut it into pieces to use as tags and journal cards. It's always a nice surprise how they come out 😊. I put focus points/elements on my masterboards after I have cut them up and want to use them ☺.

This turned out very cute. Love the baby duck tag. I also enjoy making master boards, but mostly use mine for backgrounds. I almost always make the 8.5x11" which is standard paper size here in the US, then I can scan or copy them. I liked the not fast-forwarding through because you are great at speaking while working and you don't fade away like some others.

I love this process.I enjoy your thought process as you go along.
The first 1 did a couple of years ago I did wrong I think.I used all
heavier paper and odd sizes. I keep running across it and throwing it back into a tag box. Maybe I should get them out and decorate them and see how I feel then.I was new then.Maybe a challenge would be to try and save them .I didn't add stamping or anything. Now 2 years later I have ephemera and nice supplies
You have inspired me.Love your voice and stories and your cute

I like to add the punched out dots, which I punch out on purpose, usually from a colorful paper that fits the page, and add them in sets of 3. When I make junk-envelope-journals, I like them to have a color scheme, so I always slosh some paint on a scrap, and use that for the dots.

Then one day a customer said You must be a Leo? I didn't understand. Until she said Leo is a male lion, and the male always have beautiful manes. Laughed and said yes I must be because I roar like one too when I don't get my way. We all had a good laugh that day. Now I'm retired and have great memories to look back on. Sometimes I watch a really good video and I go to hit the "like" button and realize that I have ALREADY done so because I was enjoying the video so much already! That's good content.

Awesome video! I enjoyed hearing how you chose the papers to use in your collage master board. So glad to hear that you are able to get a little freedom from the virus now. My community too is just gaining a little freedom. Take care Barbara. Hugs💕
